WANA (Mar 16) – Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, has issued a six-point letter addressed to Muslims worldwide and the governments of Islamic countries, calling for greater unity and support in the face of what he described as a U.S.–Israeli aggression against Iran.

In the letter, Larijani said Iran was subjected to a “deceptive American-Zionist attack” during ongoing negotiations, which he claimed aimed to destabilize and fragment the country.

He stated that the attack resulted in the deaths of several military commanders, civilians, and a senior leader of the Islamic Revolution, adding that the Iranian nation responded with what he described as “national and Islamic resistance.”

Larijani also criticized the lack of support from most Islamic governments, saying that—with only limited political backing in rare cases—few states had come to Iran’s aid. Despite this, he wrote, the Iranian people resisted the attacks and placed their adversaries in what he described as a “strategic deadlock.”

In another section of the letter, Larijani said Iran would continue its path of resistance against what he referred to as the “great and small Satans”—the United States and Israel.

He questioned whether the response of some Islamic governments was consistent with Islamic teachings, citing a saying attributed to the Prophet Muhammad that emphasizes responding to the call of a fellow Muslim in distress.

He also criticized countries that condemned Iran for targeting U.S. and Israeli interests on their territory, arguing that Iran could not remain passive if attacks were launched from American bases located in those states.

Larijani framed the current conflict as one in which the United States and Israel stand on one side and Iran alongside resistance forces on the other, asking Islamic countries to consider where they position themselves.

Larijani further urged Muslim nations to reflect on the future of the Islamic world, stating that the United States cannot be relied upon and that Israel is an adversary to regional states. He said Iran does not seek dominance over other countries and considers itself a well-wisher for the region.

In the final point of the letter, Larijani emphasized that unity among Muslim nations could ensure security, development, and independence across the Islamic world.
