A recent report in the NY Times described the Syrian refugee crisis as the most dire in a generation. According to the report, the Syrians predicament is even worse than that unleashed by the Rwandan genocide:
“Syrian refugees now total 2.1 million, and the United Nations predicts their numbers could swell to 3.5 million by the end of the year.”
Have you ever thought of the suffering a refugee goes through? Could you imagine the conditions of a family which, after years of living a happy and secure life, finds itself all of a sudden displaced of the homeland?
It is our duty as Muslims to extend a helping hand to our brothers and sisters who are going through this terrible experience. Following are 15 hadiths that remind us of this significant obligation. Please read and act

1. Abu Musa Al-Ash`ari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
A believer to another believer is like a building whose different parts reinforce each other. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

2. Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
