Building Better Bridges in Barrie ON -3

Love for All Hatred for None is slogan of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, what if it becomes the slogan of our world!

Crossing boundaries of ethnicity race and religion Faith is building better bridges in Barrie Ontario

2nd Annual Peter Silveira’s Barrie Interfaith   Breakfast

For the second time the city of Barrie shared spirituality and enlightenment over the breakfast table. Last years joys & experience of sharing points & views on breakfast table was relived.

The theme for this year was ‘Love for All Hatred for None’. The man who first gave this slogan was Hazrat Mirza Nasir Ahmad, the 3rd Caliph of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.

MP Patrick Brown

The event was organized under the leadership of Councillor Peter Silveira and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Canada. Representatives from Jewish, Christian and Bahaai communities of Barrie participated in the event. The event provided a chance for the city Councillors, politicians, Meyer’s office, MPs, businessmen, and top police officials to connect with Faith Communities in the city of Barrie- the place we all call home!

The messages were bright and clear:

Let’s focus on what binds us which is far greater than what divides us.
To be a Muslim demands that one believes in Judaism and Christianity as these religions stood at its source.

According to the Holy Quran killing a soul is like killing humanity.
God only created love, Hatred was given by people.

Greatest jihad is self reformation and a war of pen rather axe.

We are insignificant today, time will come when faith groups will have significant role in bridging gaps among communities in the city of Barrie.

Canada is a beautiful place where diversity and religious freedom is celebrated and not persecuted.
