(Reuters) – A crowd of Islamic fundamentalists dug up the grave of a Hindu man in Pakistan, police said on Tuesday, in the latest sign of growing religious tension in the increasingly unstable province of Sindh.
Shouting “Allahu Akbar”, or “God is greatest”, the crowd dug out the body and dragged it through the streets of the southern town of Pangrio in a dispute over the location of the grave.
“Tensions are still running high, but we are in control of the situation,” district police chief Shaukat Ali Khatian said.
“The incident was caused by some clerics of the extremist outfit of Ahle Sunaat Wal Jamaat, but later other Muslims joined in and dug up the body and threw it away.”
Hindus and Muslims have lived side by side and shared graveyards in Sindh for centuries, but tension has been on the rise recently as extremists make increasingly aggressive inroads into the rural parts of the province.

What a calamity or what a tragedy with so called Muslims in Islam! Are they Muslims or worse than animals? Only ignorant mullas can excite and mislead so called ignorant Muslims! Remember, my brothers and sisters, and tell the ignorant that we all have to die one day and account for what we did in this temporary life!
I had read this news on the net yesterday. But I did not know how to place it on TheMuslimTimes.org. I fully agree with Dr. Rasheed sahib. there is no limit to the ignorance of the present day Mullas.
They do not even spare the dead. They have no knowledge of the simple decent things of Islam. It was a shameful act of all Muslims of that area. They hurt the feelings of the Hindu community.
These Mullas are making their own Shariyah of Halaal and Haraam.
It does not seem to have reported anywhere in the news media that Pakistan Government or human right activities have condemned this vandalism of the Muslim zealots who have dug out the body of a Hindu brethren from his grave and dragged away. With reference to this context, I wish to site a noble example of the Holy Prophet, who quietly stood up from his seat as a mark of respect, while a corpse was being carried away through the street in front of him. Then one of his followers uttered that the dead man was a Non- Muslim. As if Holy Prophet did not hear his words he repeated it twice, when Holy Prophet furiously retorted “Say, it is body of a human being”. This incident may be new to the Pakistan Mulladom.
How very disgusting and must be so hurtful to the family of the deceased!
It is strange to read that a Hindu was buried rather than cremated. Or aren’t they allowed to cremate in Pakistan and therefore have be buried?
It is strange news for me in many ways. I never heard that any Hindus bury their dead. They normal burn (Cremate) their dead bodies.
The Hindu community of the area seem to be good people, coming close to a Muslim tradition. But what they got from the Muslims in return !! A very bad signal from the ignorant people. Was there no one who could speak up against that dastardly act !!
I know of the good example of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. who respected the dead of the Jews (as mentioned in above post).
Also, we know and we believe that Isa a.s. is buried in Sirinagar, Kashmir. Even if people do not agree to that, there is a grave lying east west direction in that building. It is a very old grave, believed to be pre-Islamic. The Muslim graves are always lying North-South alignment. So the grave is before the time of the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s and it is not the grave of any Muslim.
There is another grave there in the same nearby place in same building of a very famous Muslim saint. (the name i have forgotten.)
How that Muslim wanted to be buried near and next to that pre-Islamic grave??
I will continue and come backlater, Insha Allah..
The name of the shrine in Muhalla Khanyar, Sirinagar, kashmir, India is “Roza bal”. The name of the Muslim Sufi (saint) buried there is ” Syed Naseeruddin”. year 1493 A.D. That shrine is believed to be the last resting place of the prophet Isa a.s.

Here is a para from wikipedia, worth reading:
[The Seal of The Justice of Islam Mullah Fazil 1194-A.H. Verdict: Now this Court, after obtaining evidence, concludes that during the reign of Raja Gopadatta, who built and repaired many temples, especially the Throne of Solomon, Yuz Asaph came to the Valley. Prince by descent, he was pious and saintly and had given up earthly pursuits. He spent all his time in prayers and meditation. The people of Kashmir, having become idolators, after the great flood of Noah, the God Almighty, sent Yuz Asaph as a Prophet to the people of Kashmir. He proclaimed oneness of God till he passed away. Yuz‐Asaph was buried at Khanyar on the banks of the lake and his shrine is known as Roza Bal. In the year 871 A.H. Syed Nasir-ud-Din, a descendant of Imam Musa-Raza, was also buried besides the grave of Yuz Asaph. ]
