President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) has sent the Cabinet Secretary (Cabinet Secretary) Dipo Alam to discuss the issue of Ahmadiyah in Bekasi.
The discussion was a follow-up of a letter sent from the Bekasi municipal government urging the President to immediately issue a Presidential Decree (Decree) related to issues of Ahmadis in Bekasi.
Joint meeting will be held at the Bekasi municipal government’s office of Political Affairs Ministry for Political, Legal and Security (Coordinating Minister for Politics). Of the City will be attended by the Mayor of Bekasi Bekasi Rahmat Effendi, Head of the Regional Representatives Council (DPRD) and MUI Bekasi.
“The Secretary of the Coordinating Minister chaired the meeting. Mr. President has sent Mr. Dipo to attend,” said Head of Public Awareness Division, National Unity of Political and Public Protection (Kesbangpolinmas) Bekasi, Nizam Haikal in Jakarta, Monday (02/09).
He claimed to not know the subject matter that will be discussed tomorrow with the Central Government. “We do not yet know what the outcome, because the new meeting tomorrow, Tuesday (03/09),” said Nizam.
