The Bekasi government invited Ahmadiyah to dialogue on Thursday

BBC:
Deden Sujana, Chairman of the National Security Ahmadiyah, told the BBC Indonesia that the persons inside mosque are in good condition.

“They can not leave the mosque and we could not get in because there are instructions Kapolsek [Police Chief Commissioner Dedy Pondok Gede Tabrani] that will capture anyone damaging the fence,” said Deden.

The ban makes that the Ahmadiyah congregation cannot do communal activities at the mosque.

Since the mosque is lined on Friday, they received food aid from a number of organizations.

“Food is was thorwn over the tall fence which is almost six feet,” said Deden.

Masjid Al Misbah, Deden said, have a complete licensing documents. He also questioned the basic sealing.

“The mosque was established by following the regulations, if it violates why it is sealed now? Mosque was established since 1998,” said Deden.

‘Marginalized’

Deden said he is pessimist about the invitation to dialogue with representatives of the City of Bekasi because he felt the dialog often was used to judge the event.

“That is so but we cornered discussion which uses harsh words, no moderator and no guarantee what will happen to us?

“Who knew that the Ahmadiyya delegates coming tomorrow were to be beaten for instance? I’m confused,” he said again.

Bekasi mayor Rahmat Effendi did not lift his cell phone when contacted by the BBC.

Meanwhile, in an interview with the media, Effendi said the decision to seal the mosque to prevent the bloody conflict.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also spoke about the Ahmadiyah. He said the state does not ban Ahmadiyah but the set in order to avoid collisions.

This is not the first conflict triggered by the rejection of the Ahmadiyya, in 2011, and thousands of people attacked a house belonging to Ahmadiyah congregation in Cikeusik, Banten, killing a number of his followers.

In the trial, the perpetrators sentenced to between three to six months.
