Editor’s note: I am at great pain to publish this article. I have always had great regard for Raza Rumi and Najam Sethi. This interview with Ahmed Lidhanvi Deobandi has no news value whatsoever. It does not cross-question any of the claims of a known terrorist. Therefore it can only be seen as humanizing and promotion of terrorism. The claims by the terror leader are dissected below. The media in Pakistan led by Mr. Sethi should be calling for enforcing the ban on hate groups rather than promoting them. How can the Shia or Sunni Brelvi or Christians or minorities in Pakistan negotiate or have dialogue with those Takfiri Deobandi militants (accounting for less than 1 percent of the population) who consider their religious duty to raise mobs with kafir kafir slogan burn their homes and kill them? Why are these Takfiri Militant proxies of the Pakistan Army protected by the “liberal media”? How can Mr. Sethi and Mr. Rumi not see a distinction between all religions claiming their’s is the only path to heaven and hateful mobs organized to kill under the slogan of kafir kafir?
****************
As if the present Shia genocide in which 21,000 Shias have been mercilessly killed by the ASWJ-LeJ (banned Sipah-e-Sahaba) was not enough, Najam Sethi, the owner-Chief Editor of the weekly The Friday Times, and Raza Rumi, the Editor of the same weekly, have come up with a fitna which is an open call to the Takfiris to kill each individual Shia of Pakistan. In an unprecedented move, which has so far been carried out by the Takfiri Urdu media and shunned by the English language media, they have published an interview with Mullah Ahmad Ludhianvi who being the president of ASWJ/LeJ is one of the main architects of the Shia genocide in Pakistan. In the interview published in the present issue of The Friday Times, Mullah Ahmad Ludhianvi is allowed to spew extreme hate speech against the Shias. He is allowed to openly call for their wholesale destruction. The complete interview is available at: http://www.thefridaytimes.com/beta3/tft/article.php?issue=20130315&page=5.

Dear MT
Let me say that in the start that my love for Pakistan as a nation is limitless and I strongly condemn any sectarian violence, killings and extremist ideology in my Pakistan.
Having said that I am also appalled at your article for a number of reasons.
1. The heading of your article: Pakistan to be Rwanda: Through Ahmed Ludhianvi, Najam Sethi and Raza Rumi’s call for Shia holocaust – by Mahpara Qalandar is not only stupid comparison but also runs against all the reality checks. It is also counter to your claim that you love Pakistan. With this kind of emotional observations, you are not only marching in the wrong direction but do not serve the cause of peace in the country. You are trying to pou oil on the sectarian fire.
2. Secondly, when you call Saudi Salafi ideology, which I totally hate as Islamofascist ideology of Saudi Arabia, then you are describing Islam as Fascist. Perhaps, you are not aware that this term was coined by an Israeli journalist who told me himself during my visit to Israel in 2005 and is now used predominately used by racist lobbies in the West. You should be careful in copying such Islamophobic terminology when you claim to be Muslim.
3. Then you are connecting Salafi ideology with Pakistan Army and accuse it of executing it. What proof do you have for such ridiculous calim. Do not you know that terrorists have attacked and killed many Pakistan Army personal and even attacked President Musharaf twice?
4. The man interviewed by Najam Sethi is saying: “We all agreed on a 14-year sentence for anyone who chants the slogan Kafir Kafir Shia Kafiror insults religious figures. All you need to do is to turn it into a law through the parliament and the Shia-Sunni issue will be resolved”. And you do not even appreciate his admission or proposal. What kind of neutrality, you have?
So, please do criticize terrorists, extremists and those who are destabilizing Pakistan, but do not do it with prejudicial mindset.
