Meerut, Mar 4 (ANI): Meerut, situated in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh, is famous for harmony between people of diverse religions who live here. One place in the city which exemplifies this fact is a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman in the Baksar area of the city. Temple authorities have organized a Muslim marriage or Nikaah in its premises. All the arrangements for the marriage were completed with the help of the temple committee. The guests were happy as it was not just a union between two families but two communities. Such instances serve as a hallmark of communal harmony. And, in a secular nation like India, it is just one of the many instances of peaceful religious co-existence.
