….This is how one Muslim woman in Turkey answers the question:
…….Everyone is aware of the state of affairs that has become increasingly seen in Western societies in recent years; there is a turning to God across the world, greater than ever before. People are turning to God, no matter what faith they belong to
.
There is no doubt that people have experienced the most severe violence, degeneration, drug addiction, tragedies of all kinds, which are all the inevitable products of a materialist mentality. They have clearly seen that the only way out of their trouble-filled lives is to turn to God.
This return has allowed many people, young and old alike, to be restored to life with faith and spirituality.
This is common across all three of the Abrahamic faiths (Judaism, Christianity and Islam).
In Germany, for example, one of the fastest-growing religions is Islam. This is not due entirely to immigration, as some have contended. One simply needs to visit a mosque in Berlin, or Hamburg, or Leipzig and one will see among the faithful not only the faces of people of Arabic or Turkish descent, but increasingly the faces of ethnic Germans, young people who have come to faith in God, having abandoned their meaningless and empty materialistic lives for lives of deeper meaning and value.

Multiculturalism is not about integration but about cultural plurality. It is not about separation but about respect and the deepening awareness of Unity in Diversity. Each culture will maintain its own intrinsic value and at the same time would be expected to contribute to the benefit of the whole society. Multiculturalism can accommodate diversity of all kinds – cultural, philosophical and religious – so that we can create a world without conflict and strife. Britain can assume the role of accommodation and concern for all peoples, for our planet and indeed for our survival. Multi-culturalism is even more important and crucial after 9/11 and 7/7. Muslim youths are also likely to feel alienated by a focus on shared Brutishness, rather than multicultural diversity. Rather than promoting a single British “us” teaching should acknowledge that “us” can be diverse and plural. Children should be encouraged to explore differences in appearance, history and religion to reduce social and educational fears.
Islam is the fastest growing faith in Britain. Hundreds and thousands of Brits are reverting to Islam. By the middle of this century, over half of Brits would be Muslims.
“I have always held the religion of Muhammad in high estimation because of
its wonderful vitality. It is the only religion which appears to me to
possess that assimilating capacity to the changing phase of existence which
can make itself appeal to every age. I have studied him – the wonderful man
and in my opinion for from being an anti-Christ, he must be called the
Saviour of Humanity. I believe that if a man like him were to assume the
dictatorship of the modern world, he would succeed in solving its problems
in a way that would bring it the much
needed peace and happiness: I have prophesied about the faith of Muhammad
that it would be acceptable to the Europe of tomorrow as it is beginning to
be acceptable to the Europe of today.” [G.B. Shaw, THE GENUINE ISLAM, Vol.
1, No. 81936.]
