The Telegraph: Phoebe Greenwood in Gaza
Six Palestinian men accused of spying for Israel were executed in a public intersection in Gaza City on Tuesday evening.
Witnesses report that a mini-van driven by masked gun men pulled over to the side of the road, forced the men to lie face down on the ground and shot them one by one in the back of the head.
Five of the bodies were left in a pile by the side of the road, by a sign branding them collaborators with Israel responsible for the death of multiple Palestinian civilians and Hamas leaders. Their names were listed. The sixth man was tied with a rope around his next to the back of a motorcycle and paraded through the city.
Issam Yousef, director of the Al Mexan Centre for Human Rights, said his organisation is investigating the case but Hamas routinely metes out death sentences to people accused of collaboration with Israel.
