32nd World Religions Conference

Theme: Idea of an Ideal Government

WATERLOO, ON – Scholars of 8 faiths and philosophies and over 800 delegates including members from academia, governments and faith organizations are gathering at the University of Waterloo for Canada’s Largest Multi-Faith event – the 32nd World Religions Conference (WRC), taking place on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 10 am to 5 pm.

Buoyed by the contributions of so many faith communities that thrive in Canada, WRC has enriched Canadian society by promoting peace, understanding, and tolerance for over 3 decades. Each year the conference grows in popularity and in scope.

This year’s conference is particularly special as it commemorates the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and Her Majesty’s long-standing belief in the ideas of equality, justice and freedom for all faiths and philosophies. The theme chosen for this year’s conference, “Idea of an Ideal Government”, further compliments her vision.

Distinguished scholars representing Aboriginal spirituality, Hinduism, Buddhism, Judaism, Christianity, Islam, Sikhism and Humanism will present their views on the issue. Numerous faith Groups will setup displays and participate in religious and cultural hymn presentations.

The event will be moderated by TV host Indira Naidoo-Harris. Event will be streamed live at http://www.worldreligionsconference.org

  1. What can one achieve in one day of less than 8 hours? The conference should have lasted at least one full week and even full 2 weeks to be useful.

In my opinion, just a waste of money and effort.
