Daily Times: Mengal likens his six-point charter to that of Sh Mujeeb
* BNP chief recommends peaceful separation of province if his six points are not going to be implemented
Staff Report
ISLAMABAD: Veteran Baloch politician Sardar Akhtar Mengal on Friday said his six points should be taken as that of the formula presented by Bengali politician Sheikh Mujibur Rehman.
He was talking to reporters at the Balochistan House after his meeting with Nawaz Sharif, president of his own faction of Pakistan Muslim League.
The Baloch National Party leader said none of the points were in violation of the constitution or law.
He recommended peaceful separation of the province if his six points were not going to be implemented.
Mengal told the reporters that the Baloch would never talk to Pakistan if his six points were not implemented.
“Why shouldn’t we part our ways peacefully than to continue this bloodshed,” he added. The disgruntled Baloch leader said that election was not priority of his party. “Whatever is happening in Balochistan is not part of our tradition, instead it is imported,” Mengal added.
