Cologne – In protest against a controversial poster campaign four Muslim organizations have denounced the current so-called security partnership with the German Federal Ministry of the Interior.The posters, Muslims under suspicion, created tension betweenh the associations and Interior Minister Hans-Peter Friedrich (CSU). Mr Friedrich regretted the step and expressed the hope, the decision of roganizations will not be final. The poster campaign is against an Islamist radicalization adolescents and young adult. The posters represent similar to missing persons. The text reads as: “This is our son. We miss him, because we do not recognize. We are afraid to lose him entirely to religious fanatics and terrorist groups. “The Greens and the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency criticized the action because the posters depicted Muslim-looking people on profile. The campaign is to advertise for a counseling center where people can turn to when they find in their environment signs of radicalization. Friedrich said that the Ministry wanted to continue the 2011 launched security partnership whose goal is to fight terrorism and radicalization. The poster campaign will be continued.
