MADINAH: Various government departments in Madinah are continuing round-the-clock efforts to serve pilgrims who are flocking to the Prophet’s City in the post-Haj phase.
The departments started their special Haj services under the supervision of Madinah Gov. Prince Abdul Aziz bin Majed early October when the Haj season commenced and will continue until the last pilgrim leaves Madinah in the last week of November, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Thursday.
Major services are offered by the departments of health, customs, Guides Establishment and the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and Prevention Vice besides many others.
The total number of pilgrims expected to visit Madinah this Haj season was estimated at between 2.5 million and three million. Department heads are meeting daily to review services and remove obstacles in the implementation of pilgrim service plans.
Health centers are operating round the clock in most of the locations in the city. Necessary staff, medicines and other medical accessories have been supplied to all health centers in the province.
Note by the editor: We must appreciate the Saudi Arabian Government’s and people’s great efforts to make the Hajj easier and successful for all the Hajis. May Allah reward all of them!
