Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Bangladesh is going to celebrate the 100th year of Establishment of Jamaat in Bengal in 2013. In this connection, various programs have been planned to celebrate the centenary with the blessings from Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (atba), the Present Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community.
The national secretary of publications of Bangladesh, Ahmad Tabshir Choudhury reports from “two Bengali personality named Hadhrat Ahmad Kabir Noor Muhammad sahib (RA) of Anwara of Chittagong district and Hadhrat Raisuddin Khan sahib and his Begum sahiba (RA) of Nager Gaon of Kishoreganj district under greater Mymensingh accepted Ahmadiyyat during the lifetime of Hadhrat Masih Maud (AS) around in 1905 [the Founder of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, http://www.alislam.org/introduction/index.html].” From Ahmadiyya Muslim historical records, it is also reported that another scholar and Peer known as Bara Maolana sahib of Brahmanbaria Hadhrat Maolana Syed Abdul Wahed sahib (Rah) was in communication with Hadhrat Masih Maud (AS) through letters (which has been mentioned in Baraheen-e-Ahmadiyya) and accepted Ahmadiyyat in 1912 in the hands of Hadhrat Khalifatul Masih I (RA) by persoanlly appearing himself at Qadian. After that Biat [initiation] in mass scale took place in Brahmanbaria and its surrounding areas. And formal Jamaat was established in early 1913 when some other prominent personalities accepted Ahmadiyya. Hadhrat Maolana Syed Abdul Wahed sahib (Rah) was appointed as Ameer of undivided Bengal (present Bangladesh and Bengal of present Indian part).
While reporting the above historical gems, Tabshir Choudhury sahib request prayers for Bangladesh Jamaat and invites all to attend the 100th Year Celebration Annual Convention in early 2013.
