Deluge of opposition to Israel’s nation-state law builds with new court petition

JERUSALEM — Israel’s Arab leaders filed a petition to the high court Tuesday against a controversial new nation-state law, adding to a deluge of opposition to the act that critics brand an undemocratic betrayal of minority communities.
The petition argued that by declaring Israel the nation-state of the Jewish people alone, the law excludes the rights of its Arab citizens, who make up around 20 percent of the population.
The law, which the petition described as “racist, colonialist and illegitimate,” was passed by Israel’s parliament last month. It emphasizes the Jewish nature of the state, promotes specifically Jewish settlement and elevates the status of Hebrew over Arabic.

I believe that Israel-Arab leaders will fail and Arab Muslim who live in Israel, Gaza and out of Gaza have to give up to create Palestine State or Islamic state. It has been 70 years Arab prople have been struggling to create Palestine state or to expel Jews from Israel always FAILED.
Allah always help Jews to create Jewish state of Israel for Jews people like Arab states are for Arab Muslim.

1. Obey the existing authority of Israel, live in peace under Jews laws. Like Muslim who live in US and EUz Muslim do not need to have state or land — like million Ahmadiyyah, and milion Ismaili Muslim who live in peace in US, Canada and Europe countries.
So for sake of the future of Palestine Children, give up your GOAL, and put down your arms now. Enough is enough— too many children have died and suffere. Love you children.

Somi must be joking. The Gazans ‘attack’ Israel with ‘fire balloons’ and rockets more or less like fireworks. On the other side we have one of the best armies in the world with nuclear weapons and all the latest bombs. Furthermore Hamas was created by Israel in order to split the Palestinian votes, very successfully I would say. Before the creation of Hamas 100% of Palestinians were behind Yasser Arafat. You can ‘google’ it. I am not the only one who knows that. Hamas continues to be a ‘good excuse’ for Israel not to enter into a peace agreement. Do not worry, if Hamas would be dead the Israelis would find another excuse not to make peace.
