Ahmadis not to take part in election

Updated July 20, 2018

CHINIOT: The Ahmadiya Community has dissociated itself from the upcoming general elections due to ‘discriminatory treatment’.

In a press statement, a community spokesman said though the elections would be held under a joint electoral system, there was, however, a separate voters’ list for the Ahmadis.

“Currently there is one voters list that includes all religious groups, including Muslims, Hindus, Christians, Zoroastrians and Sikhs, whereas in the case of Ahmadis, a separate voters list is being prepared. This discriminatory treatment on the basis of religion is a deliberate attempt to disenfranchise the Ahmadis of Pakistan from the electoral process and denying them their right to vote.”

He said such a behaviour went against the vision of the founding father of the country Muhammad Ali Jinnah and contravened both the Constitution and the very purpose of the joint electoral system.

“Therefore, in view of the prevailing circumstance, the Ahmadis of Pakistan will once again not be participating in the general elections.”

As long as Pakustan Government treat Ahmadiyya injust, I stringly believe that Pakistan is getting worse and worse and at the end the warfare will happen as a punishment from Allah.

I urge Ahmadiyyah to change the old strategy to the smart strategy to fight back the extremist Muslim wahhabi.

May Allah guide the extremist Muslim to the right path.
    All love ❤️

    • Nice thoughts Somi, however, we trust in the guidance of our Khalifa. Fight back against the extremist Muslim Wahhabi? Are you telling us to become suicide bombers? No way.

  2. Rafiq— fight back is with wise way, speak up and protest loudly and tirelessly at front of government office until your voice be heard— you cannot fight the extremist by silence and pray to Allah many times — you have been trying it — no good result Right?

    All love ❤️

  3. Desr Rafiq— please do not put my comment — awaiting moderation— it is not wise, not fair, no respect—where is justice for all Rafiq? Why are you so hate and afraid of?

    All love ❤️

    • you are not the only one who comments. The rule applies to all. (some are totally ‘out of context’) no hate is involved and nothing to be afraid of.

  4. I do my part to protect the right of Ahmadiyyah and minority to people fitm their belief— by contacting Progressive Muslim organization to speak up and protest Government in Pakistan. Malaysia Indonesia etc

Some of them respond to me that Ahmadiyyah are afraid of doing protest — demontrstion at front of Government office unfortunately.

    All love ❤️

    • may be we do not ‘stand’ in front of the offices like other protesters. Not because we are afraid, but because we have our dignity. We submit our complaints and messages directly and via all other channels, such as Human Rights groups, Embassies etc.
