During an interview with a private TV channel Javed Ahmed Ghamdi, when asked about Mashal Khan’s death said, “The whole nation is responsible for Mashal’s death.”
He criticised the religious scholars. “Our scholars and clerics have not paid attention in educating the masses. People are not taught how to behave and treat each other according to Islam. It is the responsibility of ulemas to tell people that their actions, provoking people in the name of Islam and spreading hatred are against the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) and Allah.”

He further said, “In case someone had done blasphemy no one should be allowed to take law in their hands. The state should take action immediately.”
Regarding the blasphemy law he said, “Blasphemous law is against the Quran, hadith and even fika-e-hanifi. Allah has never revealed this law. This law is an insult to Islam too.”
When asked what the state should do in such a situation Ghamdi said, “Our state is afraid of ulemas and emotions of people. If they take up this issue their seats would be in danger. But it’s time ulemas and politicians step forward to tackle this issue. They should tell the masses that blasphemy is against the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings, it is not Allah’s message or Islam’s message.”
Javed Ahmed Ghamdi left Pakistan due to life threats. 3 of his close friends were killed too.

Quran is indeed from Allah (SWT) for all mankind. Even the sahih hadith literature supports the teachings of the Quran such as no compulsion in deen.
All the sahih hadith about legal punishments for apostates are to be understood with seerah and other sahh hadith. based upon such anaylsis; it’s clear from historical context that the hadith regarding legal punishments wre only for those apostates who attacked some people of madina.
There were no such thing as blasphemy law according to Quran or seerah. Legal punishments were carried out against those who caused physical harm, such as those who tried to kill the Prophet or his companions.
By the way Bukhari was a scholar of hadith who respected our beloved Prophet (Sallallahu alaihi wasallam)

Study of History has its own way of verifying information; which is different as to the judicial system.
Before writing, there was oral tradition, that is why hadith works were written after the time of the Prophet Sallalhu alaihi wasallam.
A branch of the science of hadith (‘ilm al-hadith) known as asma’ ar-rijal (the biographies of the people) was developed to evaluate the credibility of narrators. The following are a few of the criteria utilized for this purpose:
1. The name and occupation of the narrator should be known.
2. The original narrator should have stated that he heard the hadith directly from the Prophet.
3. If a narrator referred his hadith to another narrator, the two should have lived in the same period and have had the possibility of meeting each other.
4. At the time of hearing and transmitting the hadith, the narrator should have been physically and mentally capable of understanding and remembering it.
5. The narrator should not have been accused of having lied, given false evidence or committed a crime.
Some criteria for the evaluation of the text
1. The text should have been stated in plain and simple language as this was the undisputed manner of speech of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
2. A text contrary to the basic teachings of the Qur’an was rejected.
3. A text inconsistent with historical facts was rejected.
It is clear from the above that the criteria for verifying the Prophetic traditions are comprehensive and robust. Even in the philosophy of history we do not find such comprehensive criteria.
If we were to reject all hadith literature then it’s like rejecting recurring testimony as a source of knowledge and thus rejecting many historical events and academic studies. Also we know the history of the Quran’s compilation and the biography of the Prophet (saw) and his companions via seerah and hadith literature.
I am sorry I can not buy to your opinion. Hadees writers were all enemies of Islam and wrote mixed statesment. There is no proof if Prophet (S) ever said those words.
Quran is from Allah (SWT) and has explained all the life pertaining issues. No need of any book to support it. This book has the power to defend itself.

Also Quran cleary states:
And We have also sent down unto you the reminder and the advice, that you may explain clearly to men what is sent down to them, and that they may give thought. [Quran 16:44]
The word used is “Litubayyina” which means to explain, elucidate , expound , clarify

The verse implies that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) explains the Book [i.e. Qur’an] as he has come to teach the Book and not merely to recite its verses.
It is not merely a logical inference from the verses of the Holy Qur’an quoted above, but it is also mentioned in express terms by the Holy Qur’an in a large number of verses which give the Muslims a mandatory command to obey and follow him. While doing so, the Holy Qur’an has used two different terms, namely the “itaa’ah” (to obey) and “ittibaa’” (to follow). The first term refers to the orders and sayings of the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) while the second relates to his acts and practice. By ordering the Muslims both to “obey” and to “follow” the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam), the Holy Qur’an has given an authority to both his sayings and acts.
And We have also sent down unto you (O Muhammad SAW) the reminder and the advice (the Quran), that you may explain clearly to men what is sent down to them, and that they may give thought. [Quran 16:44]
The word that is used in 16:44 in Arabic is “Litubayyina” – “BaYaNa”, it means, “explain” or to “make clear.”

Quran clearly states that one of the task of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) was to teach people, explain the book and be a role model.
A teacher and role model does not just simply read to his students but also explains or clarifies to any questions given.
The prophets are not sent merely to deliver the word of Allah. They are also required to explain the divine Book, to interpret it, to expound it, to demonstrate the ways of its application and to present a practical example of its contents. Their duty is not restricted to reciting the words of the Book, rather they are supposed to teach it and to train people to run their lives in accordance with its requirements. The Holy Qur’an leaves no doubt concerning this point by saying:
Allah has surely blessed the believers with His favour when He raised in their midst a Messenger from among themselves, who recites to them His verses and makes them pure and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom, while they were, earlier in open error. (3:164)
He (Allah) is the One who raised up, among the unlettered, a Messenger from among themselves who recites the verses of Allah, and makes them pure, and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom. (62:2)
The same functions were attributed to the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) in the prayer of Sayyidna Ibrahim (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) when, according to the Holy Qur’an, he prayed:
Our Lord, raise in their midst a messenger from among themselves who recites to them Your verses and teaches them the Book and the Wisdom and purifies them… (2:129)
Thus, the Holy Qur’an leaves no ambiguities in the fact that the Holy Prophet (Sallallaho Alaihe Wassallam) is not supposed to merely recite the verses and then leave it to the people to interpret and apply them in whatever manner they like. Instead, he is sent to “teach” us the Book.

The brief history of Hadiths
The Sunnah which was the practice of the prophet (saw) started from the very first day and many watched and copied it from very first day. There were no books of Hadith in those days and everything (salaat, zakaat, fasting, hajj) was being done very well without any recourse to any Hadith that was due to the Sunnah and it is continued till this day in the Ummah without any break, generation to generation.
As we know that the Hadith had to be collected and compiled with great effort by Imam Bukhari and Imam Muslim-Bukhari after hundreds years Prophet Muhammad’s death. However, prophet Muhammad (saw) never had a chance to examine and confirm the book of Hadith. Allah never gives guarantee the purity of the book of Hadith as Allah did to Al Quran. This is the critical point.
We found that there are some false Hadiths that in conflict with Al Quran, and some Arab tradition Hadiths, which are not Syariah Islam. The purity and holiness of the book of Hadith already been defective. In other words the pure or holy Islamic teaching have been contaminated with the ancient Arab tradition and false Hadiths.
Extremist Muslims strongly believe that the book of Hadiths sahih or authentic Hadith. Muslim-Bukhari are the true Hadith. Those who does not believe that the book of Hadith is the true Hadith, will be accused infidel, blasphemy, hypocrite, etc.
Whereas Allah and Prophet warn his followers in Al Quran;
Do not believe in man, man can make a big mistake, believe in God’s laws only. QS 7:3-4 QS. 9:31.

ٱتَّخَذُوٓاْ أَحۡبَارَهُمۡ وَرُهۡبَـٰنَهُمۡ أَرۡبَابً۬ا مِّن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ
They have taken their priests and their scholars ( like Abu Bakr al-Baghdad, Al Qardawi, Al Zawari, Osma Bin Laden, Muslim & Bukhari, Hurairrah, Hambali, Hanafi, Maliki, Safie etc ) for their Lords ( idols) besides God’s laws. QS.9:31.
