What do you expect from a so called civilised Brit? Native Brits must learn to respect and tolerate those who are different.
All religions preach peace and living in harmony. It is the followers who use or misuse the teachings for their political, social and cultural purposes.
So my advice to you anti-Islam individuals is; Go and talk to a person with Muslim background, visit a Muslim family, take a trip to a mosque in your local area and you will see the folly of your remarks.
Muslim communities live in the west are here to stay and we are not going anywhere so please get used to it.

I would say that Christians are very intolerant. Consider Muslim Spain, both Christians and Jews were allowed to continue to worship. The Christians re-conquered Spain and the Muslims were forced to convert, expelled or killed.
