Ahmadiyya Muslim Peace Prize for the Advancement of Peace is an international award that was launched in 2009 by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community. It is an award for the recognition of an individual or an organization’s contribution to the advancement of the cause of peace. It is awarded by the Khalifa (Caliph) of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community to the award winner.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK is pleased to announce that its National Peace Symposium will be held on Saturday 14 March, 2015. The theme of this year’s symposium is Religion, Freedom and Peace. Held at the largest mosque in Western Europe, the event promotes a deeper understanding of Islam and other faiths and seeks to inspire a concerted effort for lasting peace. More than 800 guests attend the unique event including Secretaries of State, parliamentarians, diplomats, faith and civic leaders as well as representatives from numerous charities and faith communities.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Prize for the Advancement of Peace was launched in 2009 by the Spiritual Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Community, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad and the award comprises a trophy together with a certificate and a monetary prize.

The 2013 Ahmadiyya Muslim Prize for the Advancement of Peace, was awarded to Magnus MacFarlane-Barrow founder and Chief Executive of Mary’s Meals. The latest Peace Prize winner will be announced at the symposium on March 14, 2015.

It was in 1998 that Dr. Boachie established the Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS) in order to provide care to patients with spinal deformities and other orthopedic problems in developing countries. “Working with many generous people from the U.S. and Ghana, they have treated more than 27,000 patients and have performed more than 1,000 surgeries.

  1. May Allah make the symposium a great success and guide us to choose the best winners for The Ahmadiyya Muslim Prize for the Advancement of Peace, not only this year but for years to come and make this prize a a real symbol for nobility and service to humanity. Ameen!
