Imam Shamshad of Baitul Jammay mosque met other religious leaders on March 11th, at First Congregational Church of Glen Ellyn 535 Forest Ave.
After a brief introduction, the individuals were asked about their contribution for their respective congregation.
Ms. Deanna Filkins, LCSW the Executive director of youth and family in Glen Ellyn explain the program of her organization and the service they provide to poor and needy people of the area.
Rev. Paul Kopka of the Grace Lutheran Church, Pastor Lee of the United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn and Mr. Atilla Ayhan, Executive manager of Turkish American Wheaton also explain their services. Mr. Ayhan graciously invited all attendees to their Turkish cooking food teaching program.
USA: Ahmadiyya Imam meets Religious leaders at First Congregational Church, Glen Ellyn
Imam Shamshad of Baitul Jammay Mosque in Glen Ellyn explained that Ahmadiyya Muslim Community under the spiritual leadership of His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad is established in 206 countries of the world. He added that Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is trying to spread the peace and to clear the image of Islam that has been portrayed by some so called Muslims who has high jacked Islam for their political reasons.
Imam Shamshad further said that his Holiness addressed the Capitol Hill and British Parliament and told all about peaceful teaching of Islam and urged prominent leaders of the world to take a stand to establish peace and save the world from destruction because Peace is more needed now and more important this time of the history then any thing else.
Imam Shamshad invited all leaders to his Mosque for Religious dialogue and for Religious founder’s day celebrations which can help strengthening relations among each. Leaders present at the meeting agreed with his idea and assured him to work accordingly.
After Lunch the meeting ended on a thankful note from everyone.
