Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Japan is holding prayer services to remember the victims of the Great East Japan Earthquake on its 4th anniversary on Wednesday March 11th at Bait ul Ahad the Japan Mosque in Tsushima City Aichi Prefecure.
Mr Anees Ahmad Nadeem president & Missionary Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Japan stated:
“We will never forget 3.11.Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Japan & our volunteer organization Humanity First Japan is continuously striving to support the areas affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake as we did in the immediate aftermath, the members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Japan stand side-by-side with our Japanese fellow citizens.”
Mr Anees said that:
Islam teaches us humanity,Islam teaches us respect for human life and Islam teaches us loyalty to to the country we are leaving in . This is the greatest Jihad to serve tsunami victims and we love this country .
Mr Anees recalled the memories of 3.11 and stated:
“Our immediate response was to send our volunteer teams to the effected areas. Our 1st team reached at Sendai on 12th March 2011 and started volunteer work from 13th of March at Iwakiri Primary School Sendai. We served until September 2011.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Japan is one of the oldest Muslims communities in Japan and members of the community has served after the Hanshin Earthquake in 1995 and Chuitsu Earthquake in 2004.”
