  1. Religion is a matter between individual and God. Million times it is said. But unfortunately many including readers of this news also unable to understand the ground reality. You may call with any name but Ahmadija claims to be part of Islam. So better call cat a cat and not a mouse. True, it is tiny community but none has right to declare them out of the pale of Islam. Currently it is very small in number. However the way is growing at a fast pace, might be in next few decades the others will become tiny groups. It is a divine destiny and no one can stop it.

  2. This situation is not unlike how the Church of Latter Day Saints (the Mormons) are not considered ‘true’ Christians by a great many ‘mainstream’ Christian denominations and their members.

I agree with Zubair Khan, above, that if you call yourself something; consider yourself something; then you are that ‘something’. No one has the right to take that label, that belief, away from you.

There is a dark side to that right, however. Take, for example, the ‘Islamic State’. They consider themselves Muslims and say that they profess the Islamic faith, even though they are denied by a great many other Muslims of various sects as being “un-Islamic”.

I prefer to think of them as acting in an evil un-Islamic (as I understand it) manner and perverting the general tenets (again, as I understand them) of the faith. They are not unlike the Catholic Church’s ‘Inquisition’ of centuries ago.

But, if they say and believe that they are Muslims then they are Muslims. The issue is not what they call themselves, the issue is how they practice their violent ‘faith’ and how the world (including other Muslims) must respond and deal with that vile practice.

Which leads us to how the Amadi community is treated by ‘mainstream’ Muslim sects. That is an issue where I have no answers, only questions. Why are the Amadis treated so badly when they practice and profess such peaceful, law-abiding principles?

Why are the ‘mainstream’ Muslim sects so intolerent?

  3. @RobertAdams
The short answer to your question of why mainstream Muslim sects are so intolerant, is that it was all prophesied by Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

‘My ummah (followers) will face the same conditions as the Children of Israel have faced. The similarity will be so complete that it is like one shoe of a pair resembling the other. If someone among the Children of Israel had committed adultery with his mother, there will also be a wretched one in my ummah (followers) to do the same. The Children of Israel were divided into seventy-two sects, but my ummah (followers) will be divided into seventy-three. All will be hell-bound except one.’ The Companions asked which sect this would be. The Holy Prophet pbuh answered: ‘The sect that will follow me and my Companions.’

Now, if anyone has eyes, knows the history of Ahmadiyya, and their persecution of the last 125 years, one can easily see who is following prophet Muhammad and His companions, and who is following in the footsteps of the Meccans in persecuting ahmedi muslims.

There are so many comparisons between the time of Jesus Christ and Mirza Ghulam Ahmad. Just as Prophet jesus came 1400 years after Moses, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad came 1400 years after Muhammad pbuh. In the time of Jesus, Roman empire ruled palestine, in the time of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, the British ruled india. In the time of Jesus christ, jews had become literalists and very intolerant and had forgotten the essence of spirituality, same in the time of Ghulam Ahmad, Muslims have become intolerant, have become deeply literalists etc.
There is a long list of comparisons between Ahmedi muslims and the early muslims in the time of Muhammad pbuh, but thats for some other time.

    Peace

  4. @Robert Adams: Why are the Ahmadis treated so badly when they practice and profess such peaceful, law-abiding principles?
    ——————————-
The mainstream Muslims are far off the line of true Islam. They deny many meaningful good verses of the Quran. From denial stems the enmity and opposition.
From accepting the truth starts a good journey towards peace i.e. Islam, and the person becomes a Muslim. Then he/she practices the good words and increases in Islam i.e. peacefulness, that is Ahmadiyat today.
Robert, your good wishes are much appreciated.
Ahmadis will bring out the true Islam. May I introduce a few words about Islam in next post, sometime, God willing.

  5. I believe a point would be that concentrating on the rights of man versus the laws of God. However, we seek after a “civilized society” and that requires us to be tolerant of behavior not liked under Sharia Laws. America requires our freedom principles to be VERY TOLERANT of everything that that does not violate our Constitution. So, political correctness and feminism has taken over our nation and now we must deal with that. The Islamic State is nothing but an outgrowth of what the world has been thinking for thousands of years. Remember the story of Spartacus and you will understand my words. Peace.
