Japan: Ahmadiyya Muslim Community strongly condemns Reprinting Of Charlie Hebdo Cartoons in Tokyo

In light of Daisan Shokan’s decision to publish a book containg cartoon depictions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association Japan is urging all Muslims for calm and holding special prayers for world peace.
Islam does not limit or censor one’s freedom of speech, expression or religion, although Islam teaches to never intentionally hurt anyone’s feelings.
It is a well-known fact that Muslims hold Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) very sacred and dear to their hearts. The decision to publish cartoon depictions of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) could increase the divide between Muslims and Japanese society.
Islamic teachings generally do not admit any depiction of any prophet generally, not just Muhammad. To this end, Muslims do not create drawn or sculpted depictions – even favorable – of any prophet.
Islam teaches its followers to have respect for all faiths, and it is our hope that others will exhibit the same respect for the holy founder of Islam that Muslims exhibit for the holy founders of all other faiths.

We request to Mr Akira Kitagawa (President) & Daisan Shokan to take back their decision to distribute the copies they have already published. We should struggle for peace and harmony among religions and societies and these kind of acts may create friction. Japanese People has a very rich tradition of not involving in any kind of religious conflicts so it is expected to carry on this great tradion.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community will continue to present the peaceful character and practise of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) through its publications and public activities across Japan.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim community prays that may God free the world from all forms of disorder and may this current state of conflict transform into a state of peace and harmony.

Just ignore the nonsense.
Request to all Muslims, please don’t be aggressive and emotional. Pray that Allah gives wisdom to those people who are doing this. Prophet Mohammad(peace and blessing of Allah upon him) don’e need any support from anyone, he is the beloved Prophet of Allah.
