Russia’s communications watchdog issued a formal warning to the country’s media on Friday against publishing religious-themed cartoons, saying their publication could be classified as a crime.
The warning issued on Roskomnadzor’s federal website followed an earlier statement on its Facebook page and previous warnings from regional branches of the watchdog.
“The publication in the media of religious-themed cartoons could be classified by Roskomnadzor as offensive or degrading to members of religious denominations and organizations, or as inciting national or religious hatred, which is a direct violation of the laws on mass media and extremism,” the federal agency said in its statement.
The agency also said the publication of religion-themed satirical content contradicted “ethical and moral norms formed over a century of cohabitation” between people of different backgrounds and faiths in Russia.

A sharp pencil can be a dangerous object.Our Professor Dr.Kabir a very dedicated and competent teacher in Khyber Medical College Peshawer.He later on opened his own BDS college on the university road.
In KMC in our class ,there were about 300 students.60 were female students who would sit in the Ist two rows on the left side.30 students in each row.It was a huge lecture Hall.Professor Kabeer told us to always hold the sharp pencil down.He told us that once a med student was holding a sharp pencil and the other fellow student just jokingly pushed his head over the pencil.The sharp pencil portion like a sharpnel inserted through the nose and through the one of the sinus (frontal ).It went through the cribriform plate.The boy was luckily in the class so no body pulled the pencil out.He was taken straight to the surgical theater .His life was saved.He advised to never put any small thing in the nose.he was against even
the nose piercing.He told us it was for animals and depicts slavery.Dr Kabeer was a neurosurgeon.
In our final year once the President of Jameat Tulbaay Islam entered with pistol.They first fired 2-3 shorts outside.Our Principal D.Nasir was teaching us about meningitis.
Dr.Nasir was very bold ,he said to the class to keep calm and quiet and see.The Pistol holder climbed the stairs of the podium.He asked the principal to stop the lecture.we are going on the strike.
The Principal said you can go for the demonstration or protest after my lecture.The Jameeat leader insisted that the buses are leaving for the protest. The Principal said to the class if they wanted to join him they could leave.Hardly 5-6 male students and 1-2 female students left the class to join him.
I had seen for the first time someone holding the pistil pointing towards The Principal and Pupil(students).I was so scared but our Principal was brave and bold.He finished the lecture.He appreciated the class and said he could not have done this without the support of good students.I would always try to sit on the 2nd row on the right side.
