Summary
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi said Sunday his country will work with Sudan to support Libya’s military against Islamic militants in a bid to restore stability to the two countries’ war-torn neighbor.
El-Sissi’s remarks came at the end of a two-day visit by Sudan’s President Omar al-Bashir.
El-Sissi said Sudan and Egypt agreed to coordinate efforts to achieve stability in Libya through supporting state institutions, primarily the military.
Egypt and Sudan have a border dispute that also dates back to colonial times.

When I was in Benghazi, Libya, the only shots fired were in celebration (of Ghaddafi’s capture).
