Finding the Living, Loving, Hearing and Talking God of Islam

Epigraph:

He who surrenders himself completely to Allah, and is of service to others, he has surely grasped a strong handle. And with Allah rests the end of all affairs. (Al Quran 31:23)

He is Allah, the Creator, the Maker, the Fashioner. His are the most beautiful names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorifies Him, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. (Al Quran 59:25)

Rather than presenting some make belief complex formulas, let me share with you, a simple remedy, which has worked for many and is very likely to work for you.

The verse quoted above as an epigraph sets two conditions, to find God, surrender or submission to Almighty God and service to humanity.  Period!

Service to the whole of humanity may be an easier concept to grasp and I have an article, Two Hundred Verses about Compassionate Living in the Quran.

Both these conditions, surrender or submission to Almighty God and service to humanity, are subject to your personal abilities, which are likely to improve gradually over time as you succeed incrementally.

Submission to the Will of God is to have correct beliefs and act according to the teachings of Allah, as you gradually begin to understand them and apply them to your life circumstances, without concrete or literal thinking.  For example, Allah says in the Holy Quran:

O Muhammad, say, ‘I am only a man like yourselves; but I have received the revelation that your God is only One God. So let him who hopes to meet his Lord do good deeds, and let him join no one in the worship of his Lord.’ (Al Quran 18:111)

Now, I present you a quote, from the writings of the Founder of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, about God and then link a collection of excerpts, from his writings about Islam, Allah, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace be on him and the Holy Quran:

Our paradise lies in our God. Our highest delight is in our God for we have seen Him and have found every beauty in Him. This wealth is worth procuring though  one might have to lay down one ‘s life to procure it. This ruby is worth purchasing though one may have to lose oneself to acquire it.  O ye, who are bereft! run to this fountain and it will satisfy you. It is the fountain of life that will save you. What shall I do, and how shall I impress the hearts with this good news, and by beating what drum shall I make the announcement that this is our God, so that people might hear? What remedy shall I apply to the ears of the people so that they should listen?
[Kashti Nuh, RuhaniKhaza’in, Vol. 19, pp. 21-22]

In additional excerpts of his writings, if you read them more than once and start praying to Allah at the same time, you will find your personalized road map, for finding the Living, Loving, Hearing and Talking God of Islam.

Have a safe journey!
