Ahmadiyya Muslim Community Wolverhampton, Midlands organised historical Eid Party on 17th August, 2014, Sunday, at Bait-ul-Ata Mosque and the Community Centre in Wolverhampton.
The main focus was to invite local neighbours and friends to highlight and share the true essence of Eid in Islamic perspectives as it was explained by Holy Prophet (saw) — the excellent and noble character of all mankind.
The programme start at 4:00pm with registration followed by Mosque and exhibition tour led by volunteers.
The programme began with recitation of the Holy Quran by Umar Raja Saeed sahab and was followed by English translations by Abdul Qadeer sahab.
Welcome message was delivered by local President Mr Muhammad Yaseen Khan sahab which was followed by a PowerPoint and video presentation showing activities carried out by the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association locally, regionally, nationally and Globally.
By the Grace of Allah the event was attended by 19 non Ahmadi guests which included:
Right Worshipful the Mayor of Wolverhampton respected Cllr Mike Heap
Cllr Elyas Mattu, Cllr Keith Inston, Cllr Harmon Bang, Cllr Martin and Father Sabzko from St Marry’s Church Wolverhampton.
The Lord Mayor and Councillors praised the hard work and tolerance carried out by Ahmadiyya Muslims by saying that: This is an example for us all to learn and take no matter what faiths we follow. Ahmadiyya Muslims are right examples for us all”
The programme was chaired byregional Amir sahab Dr Muhammad Ashraf sahab, who gave short speech of the essence of Eid celebrations in Islamic perspectives. He highlighted the true sense of Fasting and celebrations of Eid as to serve and share with the needy. He also highlighted the noble example of the Holy founder of Islam (PBUH) in dealing with people from other faiths background religions and the true sense of sacrifice in Islam.

Special gifts organised by Fareed Ahmad National external and internal affairs UK were presented to Vvip and guest packs to all guests who attended.
The programme concluded by silent prayers led by regional Missionary Maulana Abdul Ghafar sahab followed by complimentary dinner.
