Dear reader: Peace be with you and the mercy and blessings of the God, in this life and in the Hereafter.

Introducing ‘Truth’ to the world: [3:61]: This is the truth from thy Lord, so be thou not of those who doubt.

THQ5PROPHETS

Nations have risen and fallen, civilizations have flourished and perished, and many cycles of Mankind have appeared and disappeared. And to lead all of these, to show and guide them along the right path, the messengers were sent. God, the One, just wants all mankind to live with peace, so were sent the prophets as messengers of the lord to promote peace.

You see my point? The below will help you understand better.

The Qur’an says:
…there is a Guide for every people. (Ch.13:V.8)

…there is no people to whom a Warner has not been sent. (Ch.35:V.25)

[4:166] Messengers, bearers of glad tidings and warners, so that people may have no plea against Allah after the coming of the Messengers. And Allah is Mighty, Wise.

‘The messengers are sent because thy Lord would not destroy the towns unjustly while their people were unwarned.’ (Ch6:V132)

[25:52] If We had pleased, We could have surely raised a Warner in every city.

The Quran mentions only twenty-eight prophets by name while the Bible mentions about fifty. Most of the Quranic prophets can be identified with their Biblical counterparts:

Adam (as) of the Quran is the Biblical Adam (pbuh);
Nuh (as) in the Quran is Noah (pbuh) in the Bible;
Ibraheem (as) of the Quran is the Biblical Abraham (pbuh), and so on.

The twenty-eight prophets of the Quran and the bible by name:
Adam (pbuh), Noah/Nuh (pbuh), Abraham/Ibrahim (pbuh), Lot/Lut (pbuh), Ishmael/ Isma’eel (pbuh), Isaac/Ishaq (pbuh), Jacob/Yaqoob (pbuh), Joseph/Yusuf (pbuh), Hud (pbuh), Salih (pbuh), Shuaib/Jethro (pbuh), Moses/Musa (pbuh), Aaron/Haroon (pbuh), David/Da’ood (pbuh), Solomon/Sulaiman (pbuh), Elias/Elijah(pbuh), Jonah/Yūnus (pbuh), Ezekiel (Dhul-Kifl) (pbuh), Daniel/Daniyal (Pbuh), Elisha/Alyasa (pbuh), Idris/Enoch (pbuh), Job/Ayub (pbuh), Zechariah (pbuh), John/Yahya (pbuh), Jesus/Isa (pbuh), Luqman (pbuh), Ezra/Uzair (pbuh), Dhul-Qarnain (pbuh), Mohammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).

[16:44] And We sent not as Messengers before thee but men to whom We sent revelation, so ask those who possess the Reminder, if you know not.

[16:45] We sent Our Messengers with clear Signs and Scriptures. And We have sent down to thee the Reminder (this Qur’an) that thou mayest explain to mankind that which has been sent down to them, and that they may reflect.

All messengers are prophets but statuses of few are different from others as is clear from the following verse of the Holy Quran,

… These Messengers have We exalted some of them above others; among them there are those to whom Allah spoke; and some of them He exalted in degrees of rank…’ (2:254).

So wherever and to whichever people prophets have been sent, we must hold them in great reverence – they are our prophets as well.

[14:5] And We have not sent any Messenger except with the language of his people in order that he might make things clear to them. Then Allah lets go astray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. And He is the Mighty, the Wise.

[Ch.6:V49-50]:And We send not the Messengers but as bearers of glad tidings and as Warners. So those who believe and reform themselves, on them shall come no fear nor shall they grieve. And those who reject Our Signs, punishment will overtake them, because they disobeyed.’

[10:110] And follow that which is revealed to thee and be steadfast until Allah gives His judgment. And He is the Best of judges.

[10:109] Say, ‘O ye men, now has the truth come to you from your Lord. So whosoever follows the guidance, follows it only for the good of his own soul, and whoever errs, errs only against it…’

‘O company of jinn and men! Did not Messengers come to you from among yourselves who related to you My Signs and who warned you of the meeting of this your day?’(Ch6:V131)

The Holy Quran affirms that Allah has sent guidance to every people. It thus affirms the truth and righteousness of every prophet. Prophets have been sent for particular peoples at particular times to guide them to Allah. The Holy Prophet Mohammad (saw) was the last law-bearing prophet and the message of Islam thus encompasses and supersedes all previous scriptures. Prophethood continues but only within Islam; prophets now appear so as to reflect the light of the Holy Prophet, and do not bring a new law.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The Holy Quran has described not only the positive aspect of prophethood; it also portrays the character of the opposition raised against all prophets. Pharaoh is the Quranic symbol of the forces opposed to every prophet.

[22:76] ALLAH chooses HIS Messengers from among angels and from among men. Surely, ALLAH is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

[16:37] And WE did raise among every people a Messenger with the teaching, `Worship ALLAH and shun the Evil one.’ Then among them were some whom ALLAH guided and among them were some who became deserving of ruin. So travel through the earth and see what was the end of those who treated the prophets as liars!

[4:164] Surely, WE have sent revelation to thee [O Muhammad], as WE sent revelation to Noah and the Prophets after him; and WE sent revelation to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and his children and to Jesus and Job and Jonah and Aaron and Solomon, and WE gave David a Book.

[4:165] And WE sent some Messengers whom WE have already mentioned to thee and some Messengers whom WE have not mentioned to thee – and to Moses ALLAH spoke at great length

[2:125] And remember when his Lord tried Abraham with certain commandments which he fulfilled, HE said, `I will make thee a leader of men.’ Abraham asked, `And from among my offspring?’ God said, `MY covenant does not embrace the transgressors.’

[2:88] And verily WE gave Moses the Book and caused Messengers to follow in his footsteps after him; and to Jesus, son of Mary, WE gave manifest Signs, and strengthened him with the Spirit of Holiness. Will you, then, every time a Messenger comes to you with what you yourselves desire not, behave arrogantly and treat some as liars and slay others?

[3:82] And remember the time when ALLAH took a covenant from the people through the Prophets, saying `Whatever I give you of the Book and Wisdom and then there comes to you a Messenger, fulfilling that which is with you, you shall believe in him and help him.’ And HE said, `Do you agree, and do you accept the responsibility which I lay upon you in this matter?’ They said `We agree.’ HE said `Then bear witness and I am with you among the witnesses.’

[33:8] And call to mind when WE took from the Prophets their covenant, and from thee, and from Noah and Abraham, and Moses and Jesus, son of Mary, and WE indeed, took from them a solemn covenant;

[10:48] And for every people there is a Messenger. So when their Messenger comes, it is judged between them with equity, and they are not wronged.

[14:10] Have not the tidings come to you of those before you, the people of Noah, and the tribes of ‘Ad and Thamud, and those after them? None knows them now save Allah. Their Messengers came to them with clear Signs, but they turned their hands to their mouths, and said, ‘We disbelieve in that with which you have been sent and surely, we are in disquieting doubt concerning that to which you call us.’

[14:11] Their Messengers said, ‘Are you in doubt concerning Allah, Maker of the heavens and the earth? He calls you that He may forgive you your sins, and grant you respite till an appointed term.’ They said, ‘You are but men like ourselves; you desire to turn us away from that which our fathers used to worship. Bring us, then, a clear proof.’

[14:12] Their Messengers said to them, ‘We are indeed only men like yourselves, but Allah bestows His favour on whomsoever He wills from among His servants. And it is not for us to bring you a proof except by the command of Allah. And in Allah alone should the believers put their trust.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Allah speaks of the disbelievers:

[21:42] And Messengers have indeed been mocked at before thee, but that whereat they mocked encompassed those of them who scoffed.

[26:6] And there comes not to them a new Reminder from the Gracious God, but they turn away from it.

[26:7] They have, indeed, treated it as a lie, but soon there will come to them the tidings of that at which they mocked.

[26:8] Have they not looked at the earth, how many of every noble species have We caused to grow therein?

[26:9] In that there is a Sign indeed; but most of these would not believe.

[26:10] And verily, thy Lord — He is the Mighty, the Merciful.

Story of few prophets from Qur’an Showing Signs of Allah through history

[26:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.

Signs Through Prophet Moses (pbuh)

[32:24] And We indeed gave Moses the Book — be not therefore in doubt about receiving a perfect book thyself — and We made it a guidance for the children of Israel.

[32:25] And We made from among them leaders, who guided the people by Our command, whilst they themselves were steadfast and had firm faith in Our Signs.

[51:39] And We left another Sign in Moses when We sent him to Pharaoh with clear authority,

[51:40] But he turned away from Moses in his pride of power, and said, ‘A sorcerer, or a madman.’

[51:41] So We seized him and his hosts and threw them into the sea; and he himself was to blame.

[54:42] And surely to the people of Pharaoh also came Warners.

[54:43] They rejected all Our Signs. So We seized them like the seizing of One Who is Mighty and Omnipotent.

[54:44] Are your disbelievers better than those? Or have you an exemption in the Scriptures?

Prophet Hud (as) & the tribe of Ad

[26:124] The tribe of ‘Ad rejected the Messengers,
[26:125] When their brother Hud said to them, ‘Will you not be righteous?
[26:126] ‘Surely, I am unto you a Messenger, faithful to my trust.
[26:127] ‘So fear Allah, and obey me.
[26:128] ‘And I ask of you no reward for it. My reward is only with the Lord of the worlds.
[26:129] ‘Do you build monuments on every high place seeking vain glory,
[26:130] ‘And do you erect palaces as though you will live forever?
[26:131] ‘And when you lay hands upon any one, you lay hands as tyrants.
[26:132] ‘So fear Allah, and obey me.
[26:133] ‘And fear Him Who has helped you with all that you know.
[26:136] ‘Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of an awful day.’
[26:137] They said, ‘It is the same to us whether thou admonish us or whether thou be not of those who admonish.’

[26:138] ‘This is nothing but a habit of the ancients,
[26:139] ‘And we shall not be punished.’
[26:140] So they rejected him, and We destroyed them. In that indeed there is a Sign, but most of these would not believe.

[26:141] And verily thy Lord — He is the Mighty, the Merciful.

Signs from tribe of Ad

[54:19] The tribe of ‘Ad rejected the truth. How terrible then was My punishment and My warning!

[54:20] We sent against them a furious wind on a day of unending ill luck,

[54:21] Tearing people away as though they were the trunks of uprooted palm-trees.

[54:22] How terrible then was My punishment and My warning!

[54:23] And indeed We have made the Qur’an easy to understand and to remember. But is there anyone who would receive admonition?

[51:42] And there was a Sign in the tribe of ‘Ad, when We sent against them the destructive wind.

[51:43] It left nothing whatever that it visited, but made it like a rotten bone.

[53:51] And that He destroyed the first tribe of ‘Ad,

Prophet Salih & the tribe of Thamud (as)

[26:142] The tribe of Thamud rejected the Messengers,
[26:143] When their brother Salih said to them, ‘Will you not be righteous?
[26:144] ‘Surely, I am unto you a Messenger, faithful to my trust.
[26:145] ‘So fear Allah, and obey me.
[26:146] ‘And I ask of you no reward for it. My reward is only with the Lord of the worlds.

[26:147] ‘Will you be left secure amid the things that you have here,
[26:148] ‘Amid gardens and springs,

[26:149] ‘And cornfields, and datepalms with heavy spathes near breaking?

[26:150] ‘And you hew out houses in the mountains with great skill.
[26:151] ‘So fear Allah, and obey me.
[26:152] ‘And obey not the bidding of those who exceed the bounds,
[26:153] ‘Who create disorder in the earth, and reform it not.’

[26:154] They said, ‘Thou art but one of the bewitched;
[26:155] ‘Thou art only a man like ourselves. So bring a Sign, if thou art one of the truthful.’

[26:157] ‘And touch her not with evil lest there overtake you the punishment of an awful day.’

[26:158] But they hamstrung her; and then they became regretful.

[26:159] So the punishment overtook them. In that verily there is a Sign, but most of these would not believe.

[26:160] And surely thy Lord — He is the Mighty, the Merciful.

Signs from tribe of Thamud

[54:24] The tribe of Thamud also rejected the Warners.

[54:25] And they said, ‘What! a man, from among ourselves, a single individual! Shall we follow him? Then indeed we would be in manifest error, and would be mad.

[54:26] ‘Has the Reminder been revealed to him alone of all of us? Nay, he is a boastful liar.’

[54:27] ‘Tomorrow will they know who is the boastful liar!

[53:52] And the tribe of Thamud, and He spared not any of them,

[51:44] And a Sign there was in the tribe of Thamud when it was said to them, ‘Enjoy yourselves for a while.’

[51:45] But they rebelled against the command of their Lord. So the thunderbolt overtook them while they gazed;

[51:46] And they were not able to rise again, nor could they defend themselves.

Signs from the People of Prophet Noah (pbuh)

In Chapter 26 we read:
[26:106] The people of Noah treated the Messengers as liars,—
[26:107] When their brother Noah said to them, ‘Will you not be righteous?

[26:108] ‘Surely, I am unto you a Messenger, faithful to my trust.
[26:109] ‘So fear Allah, and obey me.

[26:110] ‘And I ask of you no reward for it. My reward is only with the Lord of the worlds.

[26:111] ‘So fear Allah, and obey me.’

[26:112] They said, ‘Shall we believe thee, when it is the meanest that follow thee?’

[26:113] He said, ‘And what knowledge have I as to what they have been doing?

[26:114] ‘Their account is only with my Lord, if you only knew!

[26:115] ‘And I am not going to drive away the believers.
[26:116] ‘I am only a plain Warner.’

[26:117] They said, ‘If thou desist not, O Noah, thou shalt surely be one of those who are stoned.’

[26:118] He said, ‘My Lord, my people have treated me as a liar.
[26:119] ‘Therefore judge Thou decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers that are with me.’

[26:120] So We saved him, and those who were with him in the fully laden Ark.
[26:121] Then We drowned thereafter those who remained behind.

[26:122] In this, verily, there is a Sign, but most of them would not believe.
[26:123] And verily thy Lord — He is the Mighty, the Merciful.

In Chapter 51 we read:
[51:47] And We destroyed the people of Noah before them; they were a disobedient people.

[51:48] And We have built the heaven with Our own hands, and verily We have vast powers.

[51:49] And the earth We have spread out, and how excellently do We prepare things!

[51:50] And of everything have We created pairs, that you may reflect.

[51:51] Flee ye therefore unto Allah. Surely, I am a plain Warner unto you from Him.

[51:52] And do not set up another God along with Allah. Surely, I am a plain Warner unto you from Him.

In Chapter 54 we read:

[54:10] The people of Noah rejected the truth before them; aye, they rejected Our servant and said, ‘A madman and one who is spurned.’

[54:11] He therefore prayed to his Lord saying, ‘I am overcome, so come Thou to my help!’

[54:12] Thereupon We opened the gates of heaven, with water pouring down;

[54:13] And We caused the earth to burst forth with springs, so the two waters met for a purpose that was decreed.

[54:14] And We carried him upon that which was made of planks and nails.

[54:15] It floated on under Our eyes: a reward for him who had been rejected.

[53:53] And He destroyed the people of Noah before them — verily, they were most unjust and most rebellious —

[54:16] And We left it as a Sign for the coming generations; but is there anyone who would receive admonition?

[54:17] How terrible then was My punishment and My warning!

Signs from the People of Prophet Lot (pbuh)

In Chapter 26 we read the story as recited:
[26:161] The people of Lot rejected the Messengers,
[26:162] When their brother Lot said to them, ‘Will you not become righteous?

[26:163] ‘Surely, I am unto you a Messenger, faithful to my trust.
[26:164] ‘So fear Allah, and obey me.

[26:165] ‘And I ask of you no reward for it. My reward is only with the Lord of the worlds.
[26:166] ‘Do you, of all peoples, approach males,

[26:167] ‘And leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? Nay, you are a people who transgress.’

[26:168] They said, ‘If thou desist not, O Lot, thou wilt surely be one of the banished ones.’

[26:169] He said, ‘Certainly I hate your practice.
[26:170] ‘My Lord, save me and my family from what they do.’
[26:171] So We saved him and his family, all of them
[26:173] Then We destroyed the others.

[26:174] And We rained upon them a rain; and evil was the rain for those who were warned.

[26:175] In that verily there is a Sign, but most of these would not believe.
[26:176] And surely thy Lord — He is the Mighty, the Merciful.

In Chapter 53 we read:
[53:54] And He overthrew the subverted cities of the people of Lot,
[54:34] Lot’s people also rejected the Warners.

[54:35] We sent a storm of stones upon them except the family of Lot, whom We delivered by early dawn,

[54:36] As a favour from Us. Thus do We reward him who is grateful.

[54:37] And he indeed had warned them of Our punishment, but they doubted the warning.

[54:38] And they deceitfully sought to turn him away from his guests. So We blinded their eyes, and said, ‘Taste ye now My punishment and My warning.’

[54:39] And there came upon them early in the morning a lasting punishment.
[54:40] ‘Now taste ye My punishment and My warning.’

[54:41] And, indeed, We have made the Qur’an easy to understand and to remember. But is there anyone who would receive admonition?

People of Wood & Prophet Shu‘aib (as)

[26:177] The People of the Wood rejected the Messengers,
[26:178] When Shu‘aib said to them, ‘Will you not be righteous?
[26:179] ‘Surely, I am unto you a Messenger, faithful to my trust.

[26:180] ‘So fear Allah, and obey me,
[26:181] ‘And I ask of you no reward for it. My reward is only with the Lord of the worlds.

[26:182] ‘Give full measure, and be not of those who give less,
[26:183] ‘And weigh with a true balance,
[26:184] ‘And diminish not unto people their things, nor act corruptly in the earth, making mischief.

[26:185] ‘And fear Him Who created you and the earlier peoples.’
[26:186] They said, ‘Thou art but one of the bewitched.
[26:187] ‘And thou art only a man like ourselves, and we believe thee to be one of the liars.

[26:188] ‘So cause fragments of the sky to fall on us, if thou art one of the truthful.’

[26:189] He said, ‘My Lord knows best what you do.’

[26:190] So they declared him to be a liar. Then the punishment of the day of overshadowing gloom overtook them. That was indeed the punishment of a dreadful day.

[26:191] In that verily there is a Sign, but most of these would not believe.

[26:192] And surely thy Lord — He is the Mighty, the Merciful.
[26:209] And never did We destroy any township but it had Warners.
[26:210] This is an admonition; and We are not unjust.

My Dear Reader:

‘Proofs have indeed come to you from your Lord; so whoever sees, it is for his own good; and whoever becomes blind (ignores it, rejects it), it is to his own loss. And I am not a guardian over you.’ (Ch6:V105)

‘… And if thou couldst only see, when the wrongdoers are in the agonies of death…. …This day shall you be awarded the punishment of disgrace because of that which you spoke against God falsely and because you turned away from His Signs with disdain.’ (Ch6:V94)

‘O company of men! Did not Messengers come to you from among yourselves who related to you My Signs and who warned you of the meeting of this your day?’(Ch6:V131)

‘The messengers are sent because thy Lord would not destroy the towns unjustly while their people were unwarned.’ (Ch6:V132)

[17:16] He who follows the right way follows it only for the good of his own soul:and he who goes astray, goes astray only to his own loss. And no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another. We never punish until We have sent a Messenger.

[18:30] And say, ‘It is the truth from your Lord; wherefore let him who will, believe, and let him who will, disbelieve.’ Verily, We have prepared for the wrongdoers a fire whose flaming canopy shall enclose them. And if they cry for help, they will be helped with water like molten lead which will burn the faces. How dreadful the drink, and how evil is the Fire as a resting place!

QURAN ON DELIVERY OF THE HOLY MESSAGE (QURAN) TO THE WHOLE OF MANKIND

[41:34] And who is better in speech than he who invites men to Allah and does righteous deeds and says, `I am, surely, of those who submit?’

[16:126] Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation and argue with them in a way that is best. Surely, thy Lord knows best who has strayed from HIS way; and HE also knows those who are rightly guided.

[16:129] Verily, ALLAH is with those who are righteous and those who do good.

‘… so whoever follows guidance, follows it for the good of his own soul; and as to him who goes astray, say, I’m am only a warner’. [27:93]

‘ … I am not a guardian over you.’ (Ch.6:V.67) ‘I am only a plain warner.’ (Ch. 26:V. 116)

‘… All praise belongs to Allah; He will soon show you His signs, and you will know them.’… [27:94]

Our Motto is:‘Love for all, Hatred for None’

P.S.:This work is done entirely for the pleasure of Allah, who says (in the Holy Qur’an, Aal-e-`Imran:105), “And let there be among you a few who should invite (humanity) towards goodness.”

Introducing ‘Truth’ to the world:[3:61] This is the truth from thy Lord, so be thou not of those who doubt.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

For those who are checking the verses of Quran from this message, please subtract 1 from all verse count stated, as I count ‘Bismillah’ occurring before the start of every Surah (Chapter) as the first aayat (verse) of every Surah so my number will be +1 to yours.

Reason being… God, in the prophecy of Deuteronomy 20:18-19, had said to Moses (pbuh) that:“I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

So it clearly meant that all whatever is recorded in the Quran are God’s words and not Mohammad (pbuh)’s! And so all the chapters in The Holy Quran start with ‘In the Name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful’ or ‘Bismillah-Hir-Rahman-Nir-Raheem’ except Surah 9 Al’Tauba (alone) which doesn’t start with it ONLY because is not a separate Surah in-itself but a part of Surah Al’Anfal.

Ahmadi Muslims believe that ‘Bismillah… Raheem’ is the first verse of each surah, and we believe (and this is true), that Bismillah was revealed with each Surah like other verses and so it is the start of each Surah, that is why we count Bismillah as verse number One while the other Muslim unfortunately don’t.

Spread light, spread this message and all details as much as you can and to as many as you ever can, in as many languages as you can, in all the ways you can… Because there are many out there who are on the wrong path. All of us have to turn to the almighty, the only one Lord of the worlds. And remember:The ink of scholar is more valuable than blood of martyr.

Even God says in the Qur’an-e-Kareem:

[9:122] …Why, then, does not a party from every section of them [believers] go forth that they may become well versed in religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may guard against evil?

All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds
