The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – People of the Promised Prophet

The Truth Message – Part – 5.13:

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – People of the Promised Prophet

The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community – True followers of Prophet Mohammad (peace be upon him)

An Introduction:

Bismillahir Rahmanir Raheem
[In The Name Of Allah, The Most Gracious, The Ever Merciful]

The Ahmadiyya Islam presents Islam in its pristine purity as in the times of Prophet Mohammad (saw)

Prophet Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (Peace Be Upon Him)

Messiah Mirza Ghulam Ahmad – the Promised Messiah of all religions

In 1889 Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad – the Promised Messiah of all religions, received the Divine revelation:

When thou hast determined, put thine trust in Allah. And build the Ark under Our eyes, as commanded by our revelation. Verily, those who swear allegiance thee indeed swear allegiance to Allah. The hand of Allah is over their hand. (Tadhkirah page: 479)

So under express divine guidance and to separate the believers from the disbelievers and for establishing communion between God and His creatures, the Promised Messiah, laid the foundation of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community on March 23rd, 1889 at Qadian, India and with peaceful means embarked on the colossal task of unification of mankind by rejuvenation of Islam as well as reformation of doctrinal wrongs that had crept in all faiths & religions and had disfigured them.

As the Ark of Noah saved the believers of his time so will this Ark, Islam Ahmadiyya, will save believers from now to the end of times.

With the beginning of Islam Ahmadiyyat a golden era in Islam has begun once again:

Every real believer will want to be a part of it… won’t you? It, as said, is the community only for the blessed and purified people.

His Holiness Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as) traveled to Ludhiana in March 1889 and announced that he would stay in the town at a house near that of Munshi Ahmad Jan’s, a disciple of his. Those who wished to become his followers were asked to come to the house for an oath of allegiance.

Click to read the oath of allegiance for joining the Community here: Conditions of Initiation (Bai’at) in Ahmadiyya Muslim Community By the Promised Messiah Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (peace be upon him) of Qadian

Prophet Ghulam Ahmad (as) explained the meaning, the necessity and the importance of the Bai’at and stated purpose of his Mission and object of the Ahamdiyya movement through a leaflet issued in March 1899:

God desires to found a community of the faithful to manifest His Glory and Power. He will make the Community grow and prosper, to establish the love of God, righteousness, purity, piety, peace and goodwill among men.

This shall be a group of persons devoted to God.

He shall strengthen them with His own spirit, and bless them and purify them. He shall multiply them exceedingly as He has promised. Thousands of truthful people shall join His ranks.

He shall Himself look after them and make the Community grow, so much so that its numbers and progress shall amaze the world. The Community shall be a lighthouse so high as to illumine the four corners of the world. The members thereof shall serve as models of Islamic blessings.

My true followers shall excel every other people.

There shall always rise among them, till the Judgement Day, personages who will be the chosen ones of God in every respect. So has the Almighty decreed. He does as He wills. [PATHWAY TO PARADISE — CHAPTER 7]

Now people: Don’t you want to be among the chosen ones?

The first formal initiation took place on March 23, 1889, and thus the Ahmadiyya Movement was begun.

In the Holy Quran, God has described Himself as the “Light of the Heavens and the earth” (24:36). Further in the same verse He describes how this light is disseminated to the people and how it ends up glowing in the houses of selected people.

Hazrat Al-Haj Hafiz Maulvi Hakim Nooruddin, who later became his First Successor, had the honour to be the first person to take the oath of allegiance at Ludhiana. On the same day, forty persons swore allegiance to the Promised Messiah and Mahdi, peace be on him.

The people who accepted His Holiness Hazrath Mirza Ghulam Ahmad as the Promised Prophet follow the Qur’an saying…

“Our Lord, we have heard a Crier calling us unto faith, ‘Believe ye in your Lord,’ and we have believed. Our Lord, forgive us, therefore, our errors and remove from us our evils, and in death number us with the righteous. [Aal-e-`Imran Chapter 3: Verse 194]

Islam Ahmadiyyat is a sect of Islam and not a new religion.

Ahmadiyyat is a movement, entirely within the fold of Islam, meant to revive its true spirit and philosophy, to cleanse Islam of all superstitious and unnecessary beliefs and customs which had crept in over the past fourteen centuries, and, finally, to preach the religion of Islam to all world people with the enthusiasm and zeal of the early Muslims.

The movement is an embodiment of the benevolent message of Islam – peace, universal brotherhood and submission to the will of God. It strongly rejects terrorism in any form and for any reason.

Hadhrat Ahmad (as) proclaimed Islam as the religion of man: “The religion of the people of the right path” (98:6).

The Motto of this Community is ‘Love For All, Hatred For None’ which is actually the Motto of Islam itself as understood from its philosophies discussed earlier, so you see Ahmadiyya Islam presents Islam in its pristine purity.

Even our disbelievers admit it:

“In Punjab we see a pristine and pure manifestation of Islamic character in the form of a group that we call Qadiani sect.”

—Sir Allama Iqbal (National Poet of Pakistan) – just another disbeliever of the Promised Messiah.

The Promised Messiah (as) claimed Divine Guidance in establishing the Ahmadiyyat Jama’at. The same can never be said about those who founded the other seventy two sects in Islam. None of the other sects were founded by a direct message to their leader by Allah. This can be verified too, if wanted. None can claim that a divine person, having been commanded from Allah to do so, had instituted a new organization in Islam – none will be found – not a single one.

The promised prophet was promised by God saying:

I shall make this Jama’at (community) prevail over others till the Day of Judgment.

So let the righteous persons of the world whohave pure souls accept Bai’t (initiation) that is Join this Community.

[24:52] All that the believers say, when they are called to Allah and His Messenger in order that he may judge between them, is only that they say: ‘We hear and we obey.’ And it is they who will prosper.

And O Muslims:

[24:64] Treat not the calling of the Messenger among you like the calling of one of you to another. Allah does know those of you who steal away covertly. So let those who go against His command beware lest a trial afflicts them or a grievous punishment overtakes them.

——————————————————————————————-

The Promised Messiah has rightly remarked when he said:

Had my claim been put forward on my own, you would have been free to reject me, but if God’s Holy Prophet bears witness for me in his prophecies and God manifests His signs in my support, then do not wrong yourselves by rejecting me. (Ayyamus Sulah, p. 93)

Blessed are those Muslims who recognize their Imam (spiritual leader) of the age and join the fold of the Promised Messiah as was commanded by the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of God be on him) as the Holy Prophet said:

Man Maata Wa Lam Ya’Arif Imam Zamanihee Faqad Maata Meetatal Jahiliyyata, i.e…

He who dies in a condition that he has not recognized the Imam of the age dies a death of ignorance.” (Musnad Ahmad Bin Hanbal, Vol. 4, p. 96)

One who obeyed Imam Mahdi obeyed me, one who disobeyed him disobeyed me.” [Biharul Anwaar ].

One who rejected Imam Mahdi he did kufr” [Hajj Al-Kiramah].

——————————————————————————————-

The name ‘Ahmadiyya’:

To begin with I wish to make it clear that the names Ahmadi, Ahmadiyyat, etc., do not point to a new religion.

The name Ahmadiyya was given to the Community by the Promised Messiah to commemorate the name of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him), who has the two names, Ahmad and Muhammad. As the Promised Messiah’s mission was to carry on the work of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) under his second name Ahmad, his followers are called Ahmadi Muslims.

Ahmadis are Muslims so called Ahmadi Muslims and their religion is Islam, so called Islam Ahmadiyya. The names Ahmadi, Ahmadiyyat, etc., are meant only to distinguish Ahmadi Muslims from other Muslims – Other sects of Islam too distinguish themselves by being called Sunni, Shia, Sufi, Ahl-e-Hadees, Ahl-e-Sunnat, etc.

Now some facts:

The name ‘Ahmadiyya’, as the reformer himself explained, did not refer to himself but to Ahmad – the alternative name of the prophet Muhammad (saw).

‘Muhammad’, means ‘the most praised one’, refers to the glorious destiny, majesty and power of the prophet Mohammad (saw)

While ‘Ahmad’, an Arabic elative form also means ‘highly praised’ and ‘comforter’- but it specifically stands for the beauty of sermons, qualities of tenderness, gentleness, humility, love and mercy displayed by Muhammad (saw), and for the peace that he was destined to establish in the world through his teachings.

QURAN ABOUT AHMAD & AHMADIYYA

The Promised Messiah’s name will be AHMAD

Al’Qur’an-e-Kareem [61:7]: And call to mind when Jesus, son of Mary, said, ‘O children of Israel, surely, I am Allah’s Messenger unto you, fulfilling that which is before me of the prophecies of the Torah, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger who will come after me, his name being Ahmad. And when he came to them with clear proofs, they said, this is manifest sorcery.’

In this verse the advent of a prophet has been heralded who was to come after Jesus, and whose name shall be Ahmad. It is agreed that holy Prophet (Peace and Blessings of Allah be upon him) is referred in this verse who as we all know came after Jesus… and you can also see how He is called ‘Ahmad’ instead of Mohammad.

Isn’t this interpretation evidence enough to prove that Ahmadiyya is not a new sect but is actually the group of people who follow the clean and pure Islam of the Holy Prophet Mohammad who is also called Ahmad and so their religion Islam Ahmadiyya is nothing new but a representation of the old and original Islam as in the times of Prophet Muhammad (saw)?

Now I would like to present a few quotations from the writings of a few old Muslim saints predicting the name of the community (Jama’at) of the followers of Mahdi and Messiah as “Ahmadiyyat”.

1. Hadhrat Ali (RA) said [See Yanabaiul Muwadat, Part III, p58]:

“Mahdi Maoud will be colored with the glory of Muhammadiyya and will have the wealth of Ahmadiyya.”

2. Hadhrat Muhammad bin Faris Misri wrote [Al-Maddad Al Faidh from Al-Azhar Egypt, 1319 hijra (1901 p38)]:

“Our scholar will be prophet and from among those who call towards the truth he will have the station of messengership and our A’arif will be in the period of Ahmadi, will be from among oolulazm (those who have strong determination) and will receive greatness.”

3. Imam Rabbani Mujaddad Alif Thani wrote [Mubda’a o Ma’ad]:

“Around one thousand and some years after the sad demise of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), the Haqeeqate (truth) Muhammadiyya will ascend from its station and will unite with the place of Haqeeqate (Truth) Ka’aba. At that time Haqeeqat-e-Muhammadi (Muhammadi Truth) will be called Haqeeqat-e-Ahmadi (Ahmadi Truth).”

4. Hadhrat Imam Ali Al-Qari wrote [Al Muraqqatal Mafateeh Sharah Al-Mashkawatal Masabeeh]:

“so among seventy three sects all of them will be in fire and the firqah najiyya (sect deserving paradise) will be the one among ahle sunna (Sunnis) which will have the glory of Muhammadiyya and will be following the holy Tareeqatul (practices of) Ahmadiyya.”

The Promised Messiah belonged to the Sunni sect (Ahl-e-Sunnat) before founding Ahmadiyyat.

5. Hadhrat Abdur Raheem Grohri wrote [A’aninae Sikandri]:

“Hadhrat Mahdi Maoud has the Muhammadi appearance and will descend like a leader, he will have a mole near one of his eyes. He will re-establish deen-e Ahmadi (the Ahmadi practices), Our sahib will be bright like the sun and beloved of all. He will be learned, wise, king of wisdom and an eternal saint. O mir Muhammad Sahah! Mahdi will be decorated with the turban of prophethood.”

All the above Muslim saints and Sufis understood that at the time of Mahdi Tareeqatul Ahmadiyya will be re-established and thus the followers of the true Mahdi will be practicing the Ahmadiyya Glory of Islam or will be called Ahmadiyya firqah (community).

Khilafat-ala-minhaj-e-nabuwwat:

With return of Prophethood came Khilafat-ala-minhaj-e-nabuwwat meaning successorship to Prophethood.

This was prophesized by our beloved Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) in these words:

“Prophethood shall remain among you as long as Allah wills. He will bring about its end and follow it with Khilafat on the precepts of prophethood for as long as He shall will and then bring about its end. A tyrannical monarchy will then follow and will remain as long as Allah shall will and then come to an end. There will follow thereafter monarchial despotism to last as long as Allah shall will and come to an end upon His decree. There will then emerge Khilafat on precepts of Prophethood. The Holy Prophet said no more.” [Masnad-Ahmad, Mishkat, Chapter Al-Anzar Wal Tahzir]

Khalifa means “one who comes after,” as a deputy, to fulfill the mission of that Prophet assigned by God Almighty.

The Khilafat-e-Rashida (the Righteous Khilafat) was established by Almighty God after the demise of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him), when Allah appointed Hadhrat Abu Bakr (peace be on him) to be the first successor.

Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as), the Messiah and Mahdi, likened Khilafat to the second manifestation of God’s power – the advent of prophets being the first manifestation: He drew a parallel and proffered the archetypical Khilafat of Hadhrat Abu Bakr as the second manifestation.

The Promised Messiah (peace and blessings be on him) said:

“Allah’s Divine Power is manifested twice. I appeared from God as a manifestation; and after me there shall come other persons who will be the second manifestation of Divine Power….

He quoted the Quranic verse 24:56 and made a prophetic statement:
……And the coming of that manifestation would be better for you because it would be everlasting, of which the link shall not break until the end of the world. And the second manifestation cannot come except after I am gone. But when I go away, Allah shall send the second manifestation for you and it shall stay with you for ever……” (Al-Wasiyyat).

This second manifestation unequivocally refers to the Ahmadiyya Khilafat.

On May 1, 1908, the Promised Messiah said, “Khilafat has been extended by the Almighty until the Day of Judgment…” [Malfoozat, Vol. X, p. 262 (published Nov. 20, 1984)].

In perfect following of the Islamic tradition, Caliphate was re-established on May 27, 1908 after the demise of the Hadrath Mirza Ghulam Ahmad – the Promised Ummati Nabi of Prophet Mohammad (saw).

Hadhrat Maulana Hakim Nooruddin, r.a., was chosen as his first successor and Subhan’Allah, Masha’Allah, Al’humdulillah

After a hiatus of thirteen hundred years, the divinely-guided Ahmadiyya Khilafat in Islam re-emerged in accordance with the prophecies of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (saw) and of the Promised Messiah Hadhrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). This was one of the most significant events in the history of Islam whose impact is being seen each day as it passes by and it’s full impact yet to be seen…

Those are blessed who have accepted to be in blessed institution of Khilafat which has come back in Islam through Islam Ahmadiyya.

Khilafat provides unity, security and progress for the JamaateAhmadiyya. No other sect in Islam has such a strong leadership, nor enjoys such unity and devotion among its followers.

Over a century ago, Prophet Ahmad (as) reminded his followers of God’s promises to safeguard the message of Islam through Khilafat, the spiritual institution of successor-ship to prophethood. It believes that only spiritual successor-ship (Khilafat) can uphold the true values of Islam and unite humanity.  Up to this day – the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has amiably extended the “Message of True Religion: Islam” to reach “Corners of the Earth” under the patronage of Five Caliphates. Allah bestowed His special favors on each one, and the Jamaat has flourished and prospered during each Khilafat.  Their time line is as follows:-

1.

First Caliph of the Promised Messiah --- Al-Hājj Mawlāna Hāfiz Hakīm Noor-ud-Din, r.a.: May 27, 1908 – March 13, 1914

Khalifa-e-Khamis (Fifth Caliph)—His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, a.b.a.: April 22, 2003 – Present

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the foremost and the only Islamic organization with a central spiritual leader.

Now its fifth spiritual head is Hazrath Mirza Masroor Ahmad, the Amir al-Mu’minin (leader of the fiathful), Khalifatul Masih V (the fifth) (ayyadahullahu ta‘ala bi nasrihil ‘aziz meaning May Allah assist him with His Mighty help and Allah grant him a long life).

Today the Ahmadiyya is a dynamic, fast growing international revival movement of Islam, spanning over 206 countries with membership exceeding tens of millions and has remained ever active in conveying the real message of peaceful Islam to the ends of the earth. Its current headquarters are in the United Kingdom.

Hadhrat Mirza Tahir Ahmad (ra), Khalifatul Masih IV cautioned against the dark, social tendencies of so-called modern man, and warned of the severe calamity which might await him if, in his delusions of grandeur, he continues to violate the limits prescribed by his Maker.

We call to witness the passage of time that surely man progressively suffers loss. (Ch.103:Vs.2-3)

He went on to beautifully summarize the main purpose of life of the Ahmadiyya Movement in Islam, and our determination to fulfill our purpose:

We affirm that we have been brought into being to set the time right and rescue humanity from ruin and destruction. We claim that if the world will listen to us and will sincerely accept that to which we invite it, the dangers that threaten it would be averted. We have been raised for the purpose of pointing out the way by treading along which humanity can safeguard itself against the terrifying end that threatens it and this world can become a region of peace, security, comfort, joys and delights. We desire intensely that we may be blessed with success in this effort and we are determined that we shall be ready and prepared to sacrifice our all in this struggle, and even if we are put an end to in the course of it we would deem it a great good fortune for ourselves.” (A Message of Hope, part 1, The Review of Religions, January 2005 Edition, pp.25-26)

And he quotes Shakespeare:

‘The time is out of joint; O cursed spite, that ever I was born to set it right!’

People joining this community reflect his [The Promised Messiah’s] success in conveying the truth of Islam. From 1889 until the time of his demise in 1908 more than 4,00,000 people accepted him. This blessing has continued and will continue through his Khalifas (successors) as prophesied. Currently under the fifth successor, we are seeing that the tide of acceptance is worldwide and that the message of Prophet Ahmad has really reached the ends of the earth.

We have more than 3000 mosques/mission houses around the world, thousands of mission houses… we translated the Holy Qur’an — Message to Mankind from Allah, the Almighty — in more than 70 languages so that all Mankind irrespective of color, caste, creed, culture and country should understand it.

Our jama’at (community) ranks first amongst many in social service. According to a report approximately 77 countries performed 40000 events of social service around the world.

Humanity first (website: humanityfirst.org) is registered in 43 countries

We hold charity events and more than 968000 us dollars raised and donated

For spreading the true message of Islam we use all media available:

Book, newspapers and periodicals through the print media… We also hold exhibitions introducing the Jam’aat;

We have Apps (Click for Apps of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community)

We have television channels (Click to watch Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (MTA) on PC, TV, iPhone, Android, Windows & More)

Millions watch Khalifatul Masih V, the Head of Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, on Muslim Television Ahmadiyya (MTA) and live streaming through internet, as HE delivers the Friday Sermon every Friday, and apart from that about 6 channels with many programs run through satellite through out the world promoting and praying for peace and prosperity for humanity in general and the Muslims in particular.

Ahmadiyya on the World Wide Web (Connect to Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Your Location & Language on the World Wide Web)

We have also opened schools for the poor where all services are offered for free.

Only last year total of 55,5235 people accepted Islam Ahmadiyyat

The community, as said, has already won over millions of people belonging to all walks of life in more than 206 countries within just one century. A complete victory of peace in all countries of the world had been prophesied in three centuries (Tazkiratush shahadatain Page 64) a century ago. People of all races are joining the Jama’at without any discrimination.

“There are thousands of people that have left their communities for this new sect. They have boldly faced worldly set backs and have offered sacrifices of life and money. ….. We can openly declare that there is a sizeable group of sincere Qadiani people who earnestly believe in the teachings of the sect and offer financial and personal sacrifices for it. Some of them have even welcomed capital punishment for their beliefs in Kabul. Some of them have taken up life of poverty and scarcity in foreign countries for the sake of their religion.” —–Abdur Raheem Ashraf Azad, just another non-ahmadi Muslim.

The Ahmadiyya Muslim community does not want to rule people or their properties or countries – We want to rule upon Hearts of the pure AND want to guide them to the way of lord who created man duty bound to worship him.

Ahmadiyya Muslim Community is the leading Islamic organization to categorically reject terrorism in any form. Over a century ago, Prophet Ahmad (pbuh) emphatically declared that an aggressive “jihad by the sword” has no place in Islam. In its place, he taught his followers to wage a bloodless, intellectual “jihad of the pen” to defend Islam and he stresses on doing Jihad-e-Akbar or say The Greater Jihad – A Jihad against one’s own person to curb sinful inclinations, i.e., to purify self.

The Promised Messiah says:

I want to remind you that an Ahmadi’s conduct should also reflect this in the footsteps of our great leader the Holy Prophet (saw) so that even the strangers looking at an Ahmadi should say that if you want to see the true and chaste example of Islam you should see it in the Ahmadi Muslims.

The Ahmadiyya Community wishes to win hearts, so naturally we would never need to use guns or bombs or armies. We are attempting to make a new heaven on earth and Insha’Allah (God Willing), Insha’Allah (God Willing), Insha’Allah (God Willing) we will do it soon with the blessings of our Gracious God.

In 1902 the Promised Messiah himself had initiated ‘The Review of Religions’ magazine which has covered a vast array of topics on religion, philosophy and contemporary issues of the day. It is perhaps the only longest running successful English magazine discussing and defending religions & especially Islam – the first, last & final religion for this planet.

It is the only Islamic organization to endorse a separation of mosque and state.

Over a century ago, Prophet Ahmad (as) taught his followers to protect the sanctity of both religion and government by becoming righteous souls as well as loyal citizens. He cautioned against irrational interpretations of Quranic pronouncements and misapplications of Islamic law. He continually voiced his concerns over protecting the rights of God’s creatures. Today, it continues to be an advocate for universal human rights and protections for religious and other minorities. It champions the empowerment and education of women. Today, Its members are among the most law-abiding, educated, and engaging Muslims in the world.

(Translated from Ishtehar Takmeel-e-Tabligh, January 12, 1889)

——————————————————————————–

The Promised Messiah added On Unity of God:

‘Tauhid [Unity of God] does not simply mean that you say LA ILAHA ILLALLAH with your tongue but then hide hundreds of idols in your heart. Anyone who gives reverence to his own plans, mischief or clever designs as he should revere God, or depends upon another person as one should depend upon God alone, or reveres his own ego as he should revere God alone, in all such conditions he is an idol-worshipper in the sight of Allah.

Idols are not merely those that are made of gold, silver, copper or stones. Rather, everything, every statement, or every deed, which is revered in a manner that befits Almighty Allah alone, is an idol in the sight of Allah… Remember that the true Unity of God, which God requires us to affirm and upon which salvation depends, is to believe that God in His Being is free from every associate; it is also to conceive of no one as possessing power in opposition to Him, nor to accept anyone as Sustainer other than Him, nor to hold anyone as bestowing honour or disgrace, nor to consider anyone as Helper or Supporter other than Him; and it is also to confine one’s love to Him and one’s worship, and one’s humility, and one’s hopes, and one’s fear to Him.

No Unity can be complete without the following three types of particularizations:

First, there is the Unity of Being—that is, to conceive the whole universe as nonexistent in contrast with Him and to consider it mortal and lacking reality.

Secondly, the Unity of Attributes—that is that Rabubiyyat [Lordship] and Uluhiyyat [Godhead] are confined to His Being and that all others who appear as sustainers or benefactors are only a part of the system set up by His hand.

Thirdly, the Unity of love, sincerity and devotion—that is, not to consider anyone as an associate of God in the matter of love and worship and to be entirely lost in Him. (Siraj-ud-Din ‘Isa’i ke Char Swalon ka Jawab, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 12, pp. 349–350 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, pp. 17 – 19)

The Promised Messiah On the importance of being truthful:

‘The fact is that so long as a person does not renounce the selfish motives which prevent him from telling the truth, he cannot be considered truthful. There is hardly anyone in the world who would tell a lie without any motive. Therefore, the truth that is forsaken when faced with possible loss can never form part of true morals. The real occasion of telling the truth is when one apprehends loss of life or property or honour. In this context, the divine teaching is: (al-Hajj, 22:31) (al-Baqarah, 2:283) (al-Baqarah, 2:284) (al-An‘am, 6:153) (al-Nisa’, 4:136) (al-Ma’idah, 5:9)

When you are summoned to testify to the truth, do not refuse to do so. Do not conceal true testimony; and he who conceals it, his heart is certainly sinful. And when you speak, speak only what is absolutely true and fair, even when you testify against a close relative. Hold fast to truth and justice, and bear witness only for the sake of Allah; never utter a lie even if telling the truth may endanger your lives or your parents’ lives or other loved ones like your children. Let not hostility towards a people prevent you from giving true testimony.

Truthful men and truthful women will earn great reward. They are accustomed to counseling truth… They do not keep company with the untruthful.’ (Islami Usul ki Philosophy, Ruhani Khaza’ in, vol. 10, pp. 360–361 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, pp. 25 – 27)

Adding to the above He said:

‘Do not go near adultery. That is to say, avoid all occasions that create that thought in your mind. Avoid all ways that carry a risk of getting involved in this sin. Whoever commits adultery goes to the limit of the evil. Adultery is a very evil way. It stops you from reaching your true objective and carries major risks in it.’ (Islami Usul ki Philosophy, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 10, p. 342 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, pp. 28 – 29)

——————–

The Promised Messiah says:

…and Allah loves those who do good. (Al-e-‘Imran, 3:135)

‘…Remember that God the Almighty likes good deeds very much, and He desires that sympathy be shown for His creation… Therefore, all of you who have established a relationship with me should remember that you should show compassion for everyone regardless of their religion; and be good to all without any discrimination because this is the teaching of Holy Qur’an: (76:9) Now, you can see the scope of kindness in Islam. In my opinion, perfect moral teaching is not found anywhere except in Islam.’ (Malfuzat, new ed., vol. 4, pp. 218 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, pp. 152 – 153)

‘Be kind and merciful to humanity, for all are His creatures. Do not oppress them with your tongue, your hands, or in any other way. Always work for the good of mankind. Never unduly assert yourself with pride over others, even those who are placed under you. Never use abusive language for anyone, even if he abuses you. Be humble in spirit, kind, gentle, and forgiving, sympathetic towards all, and wish them well, so that you may be accepted…. If you are big, have mercy on those who are small and not contempt. If you are wise and well-versed in learning, serve the ignorant with words of wisdom. Never desire to bring disgrace on their lack of knowledge by trying to show off your own learning. If you are rich, instead of treating them with self-centred, disdainful pride, you should serve the poor. (Kashti-e-Nuh, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 19, pp. 11–12 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, pp. 164 – 165)

The Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) further stated:

‘Accept that which is testified by intellect and human conscience and is testified by the books of God. Do not commit adultery. Do not tell lies. Avoid the evil look. Safeguard yourselves from wickedness, immorality, cruelty, dishonesty, and ways of rebellion. Do not be overpowered by carnal desires. Establish the five daily Prayers because human natures undergo five kinds of trials. Be grateful to your noble Messenger and invoke blessings upon him, for he is the one who showed you the way of recognising God in the age of darkness.’ (Damimah Tiryaq-ul-Qulub, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 15, pp. 524–526 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, p 48)

Do all good deeds with the proper care they deserve, forsaking evil from a real repulsion arising from the heart. Be very sure that no action, whatsoever, can take you to God if it is devoid of righteousness. The root of everything good is taqwa [righteousness]; in whatever action this root is not lost, that action will never be devoid or futile. (Kashti-e-Nuh, Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 19, p. 15 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, p 54)

The members of our Jamaat ought to show something distinctive in their day to day behaviors… It is very essential that each one should demonstrate such excellent examples of dealing with one’s family, relatives, neighbors, colleagues, children and everybody that even those outside the pale of this community should speak highly of him and count him/her among the praise-worthy, among those who can be called righteous.

He adds: I still view my Jama‘at like a child who takes two steps and falls four times. But I do believe that Allah the Almighty will make it perfect. Therefore, you should make an effort, plan, strive, and pray continuously that Allah may show His grace, because nothing is possible without His grace. When He favours, He opens up all ways.’ (Malfuzat, new ed., vol. 4, pp.219 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, p 153)

I tell my Jama‘at again and again that they should take no pride in taking the pledge. If the heart is not purified, there is no merit in placing their hands in my hand.… But anyone who makes a true pledge attains forgiveness of even major sins and receives a new life.’ (Malfuzat, new ed., vol. 3, p. 65 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, pp. 98 – 99)

‘Now rush towards me because this is the time that he who runs toward me now is like the one who gets on board the ship right at the time of a storm. But if someone does not accept me, I see that he is throwing himself into a storm and has no means of saving himself. I am a true intercessor as a shadow and reflection of that Exalted intercessor, who was not accepted by the ignorant people of that age and who was gravely insulted, that is Hadrat Muhammad the Chosen one, may peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. (Dafi‘ul-Bala’. Ruhani Khaza’in, vol. 18, p. 233 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, p 192)

This is the teaching of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) which he expects of us. Today we need to self-reflect and self-examine in terms of these conditions of Bai’at. May God forgive our weaknesses and may He remove them and bring about pious change in us. May we be able to fulfil the objective of the advent of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace).

Allah in Qur’an spoke very clearly of the coming of a Messiah in Surah Jumah but the Mullahs of today do not understand it, truly Lord-the wise, has already quoted for us that, Qur’an is something which none shall understand except those who are purified. (Ch.56:80) and so the case of Mullah is pretty much clear now.

However, I now address the common individuals gifted with wisdom of understanding: Those who reject the Messiah commit a grave Sin. The Holy Qur’an says: Verily, he who comes to his Lord a sinner – for him is Hell; he shall neither die therein nor live. (Ch.20:V.75)

Nay, it is a collection of clear Signs in the hearts of those who have been given knowledge… (Ch.29:V.50)

Among God’s creation the greatest is mankind, most eminent of all creation but man becomes a true human being when he tries to be advantageous to others. Islam teaches to pay the dues of roles & responsibilities towards each other in full.

Every Ahmadi should & must always remember that every act and deed of his should be one that helps and benefits others. We should become the greatest source of beneficence for the country in which we live, society in which we live, for our neighbourhood in which we dwell. Fulfill your obligations to mankind without reservations.

Indeed, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said that a believer is one from whom everyone is safe. And his own blessed model was such that his trait of love and affection was supreme. In fact there was no moral quality in which he had not reached the most excellent stage. Today we have gathered to bring about pure changes in ourselves, thus there is a great need to pay heed to the teachings of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him).

Pledge of the Islam Ahmadiyya

(Believers! Say this out loud)

I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah. He is One and has no partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad (saw) is His Prophet and Messenger.

I solemnly pledge that I shall always be ready to sacrifice my life, wealth, time, honour and children for the sake of my faith & nation. I shall be ready to offer any sacrifice for guarding the institution of Khilafat-e-Ahmadiyya.

Insha’Allah

——————————————————————————–

‘Do not engage in fighting or discord with those who leave you because you have joined a Movement established by Almighty Allah; instead, pray for them in secret that Almighty Allah may grant them the insight and cognition that He has granted you. With your pious example and good behavior, prove that you have adopted the right path.

Listen! I am appointed to admonish you repeatedly to avoid all occasions of discord and disturbance. Have patience even if you hear abuse. Respond to evil with goodness. If you encounter discord, slip away from that situation or respond with kind words…. I do not like when I learn that someone has quarreled despite being a member of my Jama‘at. Almighty Allah does not like that the Jama’at that is destined to become a model for mankind should adopt such ways, which are not the ways of righteousness.

Indeed, I tell you that Almighty Allah has emphasized this matter so much that if someone—declaring his membership of the Jama‘at—does not show patience and perseverance, he does not belong to this Jama‘at. The utmost cause of your provocation might be that you hear people abusing me. Leave that matter for God to decide. You cannot judge it. Leave my affair to God; you should show patience even in the face of such abuse.’ (Malfuzat, new ed., vol. 4, p. 157 – Conditions of Bai’at and Responsibilities of an Ahmadi, pp. 42 – 43)

——————————————————————————–

So now you must be thinking…

What’s there so special about belonging to the community of the Promised Messiah? How does it differ to belong to them or to any others? Is there any significance of the word community in this particular sect of Muslim?

And…

Most importantly: What does Ahmadiyya Jama’at actually do to retain the original Islam, to prevent it from getting corrupted? What does Jama’at-e-Ahmadiyya (the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community) do to spread the real Islam: the message of peace?

Here, allow me to present to you a small introduction of the community:

What does it take to be an Ahmadi Muslim? What exactly is the Distinction of being an Ahmadi Muslim?

As we know, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community was founded by the Promised Messiah and so, naturally, has only the people who believe in him. This community, spread over 206 countries is completely based upon the principles of real Islam as told by Our Master and Savior His Holiness Prophet Mohammad (saw). The ten conditions of joining this community themselves stand as strong walls of security preventing every kind of new concepts/biddat from entering – thus we, Ahmadi Muslims, stick only to the Original concepts forbidding everything else.

This world-wide community can well be called as a close-knitted family because all members are very closely connected to each other on the grounds of faith; there’s this sense of connection, of belonging to each other, of being an integral part of this blessed spiritual family and it is so strong that it doesn’t at all matter from what background they come! They could belong to India, or South Africa, or Canada, Brazil or anywhere: They could be speaking completely different languages and following different life-styles and could have belonged to any of the many religions before joining this community but when we they come together there’s a warm feeling of belonging to each other, a bond that connects us unconditionally to every other member of the community around the globe.

When one of us meets the other– it’s just like finding a brother or sister – Such strong is the bond of love.

And we are always told ‘care for your brother more than you care for your own self’

The unity among the community members from all around the world is absolutely incredible, Masha’Allah!

If one member of the community is being persecuted from any part of the planet, everybody in the community feels their pain and/or if any particular country’s members need any kind of help, the whole of the community comes together to pray, to help, and to provide every help possible… it’s a wonderful act of unity: And that’s the meaning of being a community.

Now coming to the other questions:

This community was created to unite all world faiths under the final religion of our Lord, that is, Islam and so stands as an embodiment of the benevolent message of Islam which means peace, universal brotherhood, and submission to the Will of God – thus we invite all world faiths to join us to discuss their beliefs; in the words of Holy Qur’an: …O people of the Book! Come to a word equal between us and you – that we worship none but Allah [the One-God], and that we associate no partner with Him, and that some of us take not others for Lords beside Allah.’ (Chapter 3, Verse 65):

Our Motto: Love for All; Hatred for None

How do the Ahmadi Muslims retain, practice and spread the real Islam?

This community can otherwise be called an organization – a very blessed organization made to make sure that each and every member of the community is taken care of, at individual levels because as a member every single Ahmadi Muslim has a role to play: Yes! This is the most important part.

The Supreme Head of the Jama’ati organization – the community, is always its present Khalifa:

His Holiness, the Khlifatul Maseeh, the fifth, Hadhrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad (aba) is currently the Spiritual Head and also the Administrative Head directing and guiding the Jama’at’s activities through his plans for progress.

And to oversee all the activities in every country, there are two Central bodies known as Anjuman (headed by Nazir A‘la) and Tahrik-i-Jadid Anjuman (headed by Wakil A‘la).

Anjuman Ahmadiyya…is the Central Ahmadiyya Council headed by the Nazir-e- Ala (Executive Director) and consists of various Nazarats (departments) like Treasury, Education & trainings (individual brances for Islamic & Academic), Missionary work, Justice, Properties, Propagation, Pensions, Guidance, Publication, Finance, General Welfare, etc again headed by a separate head.

Anjuman Tehrik-e-Jadid’s primary purpose is to open new missions and construct mosques around the world. There’s a Waqfe Jadid segment which looks after the spiritual upbringing of the members living in the rural communities and to spread the message of Islam across the country.

Then there are more departments like: Dept. of Enrollment (Sho`ba Tajneed), Dept. of spiritual training (Sho`ba Tarbiyat), Dept. of spiritual training to New converts (Sho`ba Tarbiyat Nau Muba`in), Dept. of preaching (Sho`ba Tabligh), Dept. of education (Sho`ba Taleem), Dept of student affairs (Sho`ba Umoor Tulba), Dept. of community services (Sho`ba Khidmat-e-khalq), Dept. of Finance (Sho`ba Maal), Dept. of Dignity of Labour (Sho`ba Waqar-e-Amal), Dept. of Industry and commerce (Sho`ba Sanat-o-Tijarat), Dept. of Physical health (Sho`ba Sehat-e-Jismani), Dept. of publication (Sho`ba Isha’at), Dept of general affairs (Sho`ba Umoomi), Dept. of Audit (Sho`ba Muhasiba), Dept. of Atfal (Sho`ba Atfal), Tanzeem (Organization), etc.

Missionaries: To help in the spiritual development of the members, the Khalifa appoints Missionaries region-wise in each country to ensure that all Jama’ats members are following the instructions given by the Centre and help the members develop their relationship with Allah and become pious Muslims.

Auxiliary Organizations: Now this is the second major half of the whole design.

To make sure each and every single member of the community gets well-educated academically and Islamically and that he/she understands the value of being an Ahmadi Muslim and acts according to the teachings, and lives following all guidelines, the below are formed:

Majlis Ansarullah (Association of the Helpers in the service of God) consists of Male members of the Jama’at above 40 yrs.

Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya (Association of the Servants of Ahmadiyyat): Male members of the Jama’at from 15 to 40 years old.

Majlis Atfalul Ahmadiyya (Children of Ahmadiyyat): A sub-organisation of Khuddam for boys aged 7 to 15 years old.

Women have given equally important consideration and so we have…

Lajna Imaillah (Association of the Handmaidens of God): Women members from 15 years and above.

Nasiratul Ahmadiyya: A sub-organization of Lajna for girls aged 7 to 15 years old.

There are again heads for each segment locally, state-wise, country-wise, continent-wise, etc.

The branches are basically made to provide individual attention to inculcate the spirit of being an Ahmadi Muslim, to understand the responsibility, to make them active, vigilant and strong instead of ignorant of religion, frustrated or lazy.

All possible options are utilized to teach everybody what Islam Ahmadiyya stands for, and to make them know & understand our beliefs and to create love and obedience of God, the Holy Prophet (saw), the Promised Messiah (as) and the Khulafa; to create in them zeal to spend their lives according to Islam in its pristine purity and to become the ‘best of peoples’ to be counted among the ‘righteous’ on the Day of Judgment.

The major and essential objectives of this organization include the up-bringing of its members, according to Islamic principles, inculcating the spirit to promote and propagate the teachings of Islam, inculcating the spirit of voluntary social-service (serving mankind), and inculcating in the youth the spirit to serve Islam, country, mankind, and strive for their welfare, to place collective interests above individual interests and to remain purely be a religious organization with no political interest whatsoever… are a few among the many objectives of this plan.

Daily or weekly teaching classes are organized to teach Prayer (Namaz/Salaat) and the Holy Qur’an, to make them learn the correct pronunciation of Arabic words; also translations in their language of understanding are provided to ease understanding and implementing; then we have Examination of Deeni Nisab (Religious syllabus) designed for each auxiliary branch and exams are conducted every quarter of the year to make sure that Islamic concepts are learnt and practiced at every stage of life.

Social-care is taught through blood donations and cleaning campaigns whereby we clean hospitals, graveyards, roads, mosques, public parks, etc. Special cooking classes are arranged for girls, plantation-weeks are also planned, and we also have game competitions and other cultural activities… for all round development of all members.

Then there are also the Jalsa (religious gatherings): every month (locally), quarterly (city-wise), and once annually state-wise & nation wise. Every member of the community is encouraged to join in all the activities guaranteeing all round development of the community: Monthly performance report for each and every member of the Jama’at recording all his activities and to keep a check on his performance.

Yes! We are a family, a global family of astonishingly sincere people in this global village… very closely connected… very firmly bonded: We are the people of the Promised Messiah

And our target, our happiness, our comfort, our peace and everything lies in the progress of Islam by it’s people, Us.

As the time has come and demanded we fulfill the promise that we will prefer faith to our worldly matters.

Our organization progresses in the real sense because we uphold those principles of real peaceful Islam that the Messengers of Allah, since times started, had established in the world. In this way we can become a part of a great universal revolution for which the Almighty Allah has sent the Promised Messiah in this age: May Allah enable us to do so. Amen!

Is there a testimony from our Lord for our progress?

Today our unification on the hand of Khilafat and the progress and advancement of the Community, that’s happening with great leaps and bounds, is a great practical testimony that God’s is with us.

Outsiders too acknowledge our selfless sacrifice of life, property and time: Does this not constitute a practical testimony for them?

God has strengthened our hearts as one in spite of the cruelties we endure at the hands of our persecutors and has kept us inclined as ever. In fact each Ahmadi who gives life for Ahmadiyyat, for Kalima Tayyaba, for the ardent love of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) and for the sake of becoming God’s servant alone affirms and declares that none can stop the progress of our Community.

Our mission is to spread the message of Islam to the corners of the Earth through our motto: Love for All, Hatred for None.

The object of the Jama`at is to get the pleasure of Allah and to create righteousness in everybody. By these our Jama’at progresses in inculcating the values of goodness, righteousness, worship, adopt high moral qualities like honesty, integrity, truthfulness, obedience, fulfillment of promises, sacrifice, forgiveness and justice to such an extent that not only our people but also others it.

The object of these organizations is not only to stand firm in goodness within ourselves but also to inculcate the same in others. All our efforts are directed towards following the religion our Lord and establish peace all over the world.

The Almighty Allah says in the Holy Qur’an:

(Al-Nahl v-126) Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation.

In view of the above Qur’anic injunction, it is obligatory on every true Muslim to convey the message of Allah, but there is an extra obligation on every Ahmadi to become a real Missionary of Islam: Every member of the Jama`at should become Dai –Ilallah (caller to Allah).

Almighty Allah says in the Holy Qur’an: “you are the best people raised for the good of mankind”. (Aal-e-Imran111)… through all our efforts we are trying to match such expectations of our Lord.

The Community is known for its outreach activities dispelling myths about Islam and promoting inter-religious peace and harmony.

Jalsa Salana:

It refers to the community’s conventions which are held for three days annually: These are in practice ever since the time of the Promised Messiah (as); earlier these used to be organized only in Qadian but today these are held in various countries at various times all around the year, held country-wise. However, Jalsa Salana Qadian retained its original dates of 26, 27 and 28th of December as the schedule of Jalsa Salana in Qadian – the birthplace of the Promised Messiah — Do attend it at least once in your life

[Ahmadi Muslim’s Jalsa Salana websites of all countries].

Objectives, Purposes & Blessings of Jalsa Salana In the Words of the Promised Messiah (Peace be on him)

The annual convention is a momentous event that provides an opportunity for all Muslims to rejuvenate their minds and souls with the purity of Islam. It is usually attended by thousands of guests, diplomats, dignitaries, scholars, and academia. The objective of the convention is to enhance spiritual well-being and to promote message of peace, love and harmony among communities and nations

As the Promised Messiah (as) has said, the only purpose of your gathering at such conventions should be so that your religious knowledge should improve and the biggest aim should be so that you should cultivate a relationship with Allah and should recognise Him.

He says: Amongst the objectives of these conventions, the primary objective is also so that every sincere person should get an opportunity to derive religious benefit, face to face and at first hand, so that their religious knowledge should broaden and their true comprehension should begin to progress. (Ayena Kamalat Islam, Ruhani Khazain Vol.5 p.606)

Purpose of Jalsa Salana

The primary purpose of this Convention is to enable every sincere individual to personally experience religious benefits; They may enhance their knowledge and –due to their being blessed and enabled by Allah, The Exalted- their perception [of Allah] may progress. Among its secondary benefits is that this congregational meeting together will promote mutual introduction among all brothers, and it will strengthen the fraternal ties within this Community..” (Ishtihar 7 Dec. 1892, Majmoo`ah Ishtiharat Vol. I, Page 340).

Not an Ordinary Convention

“You must not rank this convention in the same league as other ordinary human assemblies” -The Promised Messiah

This is no ordinary gathering. There are many benefits of the Jalsa to the participants. Members should utilize this opportunity to renew their personal faith and spirituality, meet and establish friendship with other members of the community, welcome new members into the fold of the community and remember those who have passed away in the previous year and pray for them.

It is essential for all those who can afford to undertake the journey, that they must come to attend this Convention which embodies many blessed objectives. They should disregard minor inconveniences in the cause of Allah and His prophet (peace be upon him.). Allah yields reward to the sincere persons at every step of their way, and no labour and hardship, undertaken in His way, ever goes to waste.

I re-emphasize that you must not rank this convention in the same league as other, ordinary, human assemblies. This is a phenomenon that is based purely on the Divine Help, for propagation of Islam.” (Ishtihar 7 Dec. 1892, Majmoo`ah Ishtiharat Vol. I, Page 341)

The Promised Messiah (as) has said that the fundamental purpose of this Jalsa is that through it such a Jama’at – such a community should be prepared or come into being that should always be increasing its knowledge and cognizance of God Almighty; in whom the fear of God should begin to grow; in whom piety and righteousness should be found developing; who should be always craving for God; who should be found having deep love for each other; whose hearts would be soft and caring and full of love for each other; and whose brotherly love for each other should exemplify the Quranic injunction of, “ruhamaa-o-bainahum,”- “tender among themselves’ – referred to in Chapter 48, Sura Al-Fath, verse 30 of the Holy Quran.

Humility and submissiveness should become their habit and they should establish such high standards of truth as would be not found anywhere else and they should have in their hearts a burning passion for spreading Islam into the very corners of the earth and they should be ready to sacrifice their life, wealth, time and honor for this work every moment of their lives.

So, it is the duty of every attendee, who is participating in these Jalsas that if there was any limitation is his understanding and if he did or previously have a true understanding and grasp of the purpose of the Jalsa now he should make himself and his thinking in the mould of the explanations and advice of the Promised Messiah and try to benefit to the maximum from this Jalsa.

Prayer by the Promised Messiah

“I conclude with the prayer that everyone who travels for [attending] this Convention that is for the sake of Allah: May Allah, the Exalted, be with him, reward him in abundant measure, have mercy on him, ease up for him his circumstances of hardship and anxiety and eliminate his anguish and grief. May He grant him freedom from every single hardship and lay open for him the ways of [achieving] his cherished goals, and raise him up, on the day of Judgment, among those of His servants who are the recipients of His blessings and Mercy. May He be their Guardian in their absence until after their journey comes to an end.

O Allah! O Sublime One and Bestower of bounties, the Ever Merciful and One Who Resolves all problems, do grant all these prayers, and grant us Victory over our opponents with scintillating signs, because You alone have all the prowess and power. Aameen! (Ishtihar 7 Dec. 1892, Majmoo`ah Ishtiharat Vol. I, Page 342)

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

To Conclude:

I believe…

Now that the Promised one has appeared, all eyes will open and people will reflect;

for, God’s Messiah having come, minds will now be illumined and hearts will pay attention, and pens will gain strength.

Now every fortunate one will be bestowed intelligence, and every right-thinker will be bestowed wisdom, inasmuch as that which shines in heaven also illumines the earth.

Blessed are those who partake of this light and fortunate is the one who is bestowed a portion of it.’

The coming of the Promised Messiah is no ordinary event: it is a great event, indeed.

Did not the Holy Prophet send him greetings? Did he not warn his followers and say that they must go and join the Promised Messiah even if it entailed the hardest toil and trouble?

Prophecies about the Promised Messiah exist in all religions. No prophet has failed to mention the coming of THIS Promised Messiah. Great must be the man who fulfils the prophecies of so many prophets, and for whose coming they all asked their peoples to wait.

Blessed are those who accept the Promised Messiah and receive the benefits promised for joining him. The coming of messengers is rare, especially of great messengers like the Promised Messiah.

The Chief of all Prophets, Prophet Muhammad (on whom be peace and the blessings of God) stressed the coming of the Promised Messiah more than the coming of anyone else.

“He who dies in a condition that he has not recognized the Imam of his age dies a death of ignorance.” (Musnad Ahmad Bin Hanbal, Vol. 4, p. 96)

A greater man as such may never arise again.

He is the Seal of spiritual leaders (Khatam al-Khulafa) raised among the followers of the Holy Prophet. After him we only wait for the Day of Judgment. Lucky is he who knows the value of the present and decides to join the Promised Messiah, and so earns the approval and pleasure of God for you, all of you, will stand witness on the Judgment day about his own actions.

The Divine purpose of the raising of a prophet is that the people among whom the prophet is raised may be delivered from their vicious life, and by acting upon the guidance furnished through the prophet, should advance towards the One True God and win His love.

A PROPHECY FROM THE PROMISED MESSIAH

Hearken, all ye people!

This is a prophecy of Him Who had created heaven and earth. He will spread this Community of His in all countries and will make it supreme over all, through reason and arguments. The days are coming, indeed they are near, when this will be the only religion which will be held in honor. God will bestow extraordinary blessings on this religion and Movement. He will frustrate everyone who seeks to destroy it. This supremacy will last till the Judgment Day.

My dear people, May peace be with you all. Please study carefully the valuable works of His Holiness Hazrath Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiyani (as) – The promised one who came at his right time, and after establishing a dynamic Jama’at departed successfully from this transitory world towards his eternal abode.

His is the Jama’at, the community that has been blessed to render wholehearted service to the religion by conveying the message of peace, that is, Islam (the last religion prescribed by the Lord Almighty) to the whole world, through translating the Holy Quran in different important languages, establishing Missions in various countries of the world, constructing mosques and the literature for wise to learn – thus bringing hundreds of thousands of people into the One fold – One Religion of the One (chief of) prophet of the One God!

So much of nonsense is posted about Islam Ahmadiyya on the internet: Do not read them – All of it is vile and baseless and as every other bad thing, has the potential to drive you away from Good.

Do not fall prey to despair and despondency, but rather rejoice and cheer up that you too can have the precious chance of serving the religion by embracing the community of the Promised Messiah; and winning the pleasure and blessing of God through rendering obeisance to the injunctions of the Holy Prophet in respect of the Imam of the age:

Ahmadiyya presents a pristine and pure manifestation of Islamic character. There is no denying of the fact that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani (pbuh) has surely rekindled the morality and ethics of Islam and created a community whose life and can certainly be considered to be a reflection of the character of the Prophet Mohammad, peace be upon him.

‘Those who have rejected Our Signs are deaf and dumb, in utter darkness. Whom Allah wills He lets go astray and whom He wills He places on the right path. (Ch6:V40)

Make up your mind and go forward with courage: Fortunate are those who are ever trying to please God and to better their ending.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

Hadhrat Mirza Bashir-ud-Din Mahmood Ahmad (ra) to the Ahmadi Muslims:

I should like to advise the Jama’at, therefore, to make their conduct conform to the prophecies contained in the Promised Messiah’s (as) revelations.

All of us should study these revelations, so that we know how glorious our future is. Many a man is slothful and indolent just because they do not know how bright their future is.

Study these revelations so that you might get a glimpse of your great future and then bring your conduct up to the mark to which God wishes you to bring it up.

Is there a man more unlucky than him who stands under the light and still finds himself shrouded in darkness?

***

A Note to all Ahmadi Muslims: All Ahmadi Muslims MUST make sure that their characters are worth a reference for praise. Work upon all of your weaknesses and strengthen your spirit of loyalty and love towards all.

It is necessary for the members of the Jama’at to walk on the paths of taqwa because they are connected to such a person and have entered into bai’at with such a one who has made the claim of having being sent by God …and you will be able to benefit from a relationship with this one sent by God only if you are saved from every kind of evil.

Before you entered into bai’at you were inclined to the world and were involved in all kinds of evil….and after entering into bai’at you should be be saved from those evils and that cannot be gotten without taqwa.

The Promised Messiah (as) says remember that if one leaves God then know it for certain that Shaitan – Satan will certainly establish a bond with such a one.

So an Ahmadi must try to attain to lofty levels of adherence to the truth on every level and plain. So we have to try that at every step we try to elevate our standards of adherence to the truth.

So having entered into bai’at of one raised by Allah we need to examine ourselves and take stock of ourselves and see whether before doing anything do we take advice from the Book of Allah or follow the dictates of our own ego? If our ego prevents us from following the advice of the Book of Allah then we need to be concerned about our state of being.

We should especially exert yourselves in durood and istighfar so we may be moved to reform ourselves and we may become capable of bringing our own wishes and desires in accord with the wishes and commands of God Almighty and pray so that we may become those who fully discharge the responsibility that falls upon all of us who have entered into the system of bai’at with the Promised Messiah (as).

You must repent with full sincerity of heart and wake up for tahajjud [the voluntary late night prayer] and pray and set your heart aright and leave off all slackness and weaknesses and order your own words and deeds so that they are in complete accord with the will of Allah. Have firm faith that the one who will take this advice to heart and make it his practice and will in reality truly pray and truly plead his case before God Almighty such a one will be blessed with the bounty and Grace of Allah and his heart will be changed. Do not lose hope of being blessed by God.

The Promised Messiah (as) says some people say, “what, are we to become a walee – a friend of God?

How sad that they do not value this. Without a doubt, yes every man has the ability to become a walee – a friend of God.

If he will walks on the straight path then God also will walk towards him and then a stage will come when he will meet God in this very world. Allah himself says this in His own words in the Holy Qur’an:

And as for those who strive in Our path — We will surely guide them in Our ways. [Al-‘Ankabut Chapter 29 : Verse 70]

A great verse: ‘…I am closer to him (man) than even his Jugular vein. (Ch.50:V.17)

And when My servants ask thee about Me, say: I am near. I answer the prayer of the supplicant when he prays to Me. So they should hearken to Me and believe in Me, that they may follow the right way. (Ch.2:V.187)

Every one of His creatures has the capacity to establish, maintain and strengthen communion with Him. Your Lord has said: Call on Me; I will respond to you. (Ch.40:V.61)

He is with you, wheresoever you maybe. (Ch.57:V.5)

The Promised Messiah (as) says all these things that I have said to you, remember them all for your salvation depends on these very things. Your dealings with God and with His creatures should be such as have as their sole purpose the winning of Gods pleasure alone.

Inviting People to  Allah

The most basic way of serving mankind is inviting people to the path of Allah and praying for them. While it is the duty of all Muslims to invite people to Allah, as Ahmadi Muslims, it is our prime responsibility and the Jamaat utilizes considerable resources and manpower through its various schemes to do this. We are established in over 206 countries with HIS GRACE and so the prime objective of ours MUST BE inviting people to the path of Allah.

Inviting people to the path of Allah, the Holy Quran reminds us, must be done in the best manner possible.

Even God says in the Qur’an-e-Kareem:

[9:122] …Why, then, does not a party from every section of them [believers] go forth that they may become well versed in religion, and that they may warn their people when they return to them, so that they may guard against evil?

SO…

Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and goodly exhortation and argue with them in a way that is best.” (16:126)

And let there be among you a body of men who should invite to goodness, and enjoin equity and forbid evil. And it is they who shall prosper. (3:103-105)

[41: 34] And who is better in speech than he who invites men to Allah and does righteous deeds and says, `I am, surely, of those who submit?’

[16:129] Verily, ALLAH is with those who are righteous and those who do good.
