UK: Halesowen Ahmadi Muslims to take part in mass anti-extremist rally pledging loyalty to Queen & country

YOUNG Halesowen Muslims will be taking part in a mass anti-extremist three-day rally in Surrey to pledge loyalty to Queen and country.

Members of the Ahmadiyya Youth Association, based at the Long Lane mosque, will join thousands of other young Muslims from July 20 to July 22 to promote Isam’s message of peace.

After re-affirming their loyalty to Britain, members will take part in an Islam awareness bus campaign across the southwest of England.

“We share the Prime Minister David Cameron’s concern about how events in Syria and Iraq can have a potential impact on the UK.

“Extremism – whether it is based on religion, race or any other factor – is a threat to us all.”

He added: “Let us counter intolerance with education to counter extremism and extremists everywhere.”
