April 18, 2014 (JERUSALEM) — Christians in the Holy Land are commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ in Good Friday prayers and processions through Jerusalem’s Old City.

Thousands of Christian pilgrims filled the cobblestone alleyways of the Old City on Friday along the Via Dolorosa, Latin for the “Way of Suffering.”
They are carrying wooden crosses and following the 14 stations ending at the ancient Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Tradition says the church was built on the site where Jesus was crucified, buried and resurrected.
The Easter holiday and Jewish Passover coincide this year.
According to the Gospels, Jesus ate his last supper – a Passover meal – hours before he was betrayed. Christians believe Jesus was crucified on Good Friday and resurrected on Easter Sunday.

Devotees in northern Philippine villages had themselves nailed to wooded crosses to re-enact the crucifixion of Jesus Christ as thousands of local and foreign spectators watched the bloody annual rites to mark Good Friday in Asia’s largest Roman Catholic nation.
Church leaders and health officials have spoken against the practice, which mixes Roman Catholic devotion with folk belief, but the annual rites continue to draw participants and huge crowds, particularly in northern Pampanga province.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO MUSLIM OF THE GOOD FRIDAY AND EASTER ?
In this historical event, what Muslim should do ?
I was amazed at how much Christian and Muslim have in common according to their holy Books or scriptures. In fact, I would encourage Muslim to consider reading Bible (Taurat,Zabur,Injil ) as I did.
And also I encourage Christian to read Al Quran as well. Not only to read the Bible, the book of God, but to practice them (God’s commandment, or laws that NOT against Al Quran as the Last Testament.
In the Christian scripture, known as the “Bible” what is called the Old Testament (including the Taurat-Torah and Zabur-Psalms) contain scripture written before Jesus Prophet, and the New Testament ( referred to as the “Injil” by Muslim ) contains scripture given after Jesus Prophet. Therefore, the Old Testament and the New testament together make up the complete Christian Bible.
In this Article, I would like to emphasize what Allah and Muhammad (saw) said about Christianity, Jesus as written in Al Quran. We, Muslim should believe with all our heart, soul, and mind what Allah and Rasulullah (saw) written in Al Quran.
May Allah will guide and bless those who read this article to the true path of Islamic teaching.
Islam requires Muslims to respect the faith of others.
1..“among those most hostile to the Believers you will find Jews and Pagans…”and nearest among them in love to the Believers you will find those who say: ‘We are Christians’ because among them you find men devoted to learning, men who have renounced the world, and they are not arrogant.”QS.5;82.
Not all of them are alike: of the People of the book are a portion that stand (for the right); they rehearse the signs of Allah all night long, and they prostrate themselves in adoration. (113) They believe in Allah and the Last Day; they enjoin what is right, and forbid what is wrong; and they hasten (in emulation) in (all) good works; they are in the ranks of the righteous. (114) Of the good that they do, nothing will be rejected of them; for Allah knoweth well those that do right. QS 3:113-115.
2..To thee We sent the Scripture in truth, confirming the scripture that came before it, QS 5;48.
KEPT PURE AND HOLY
3…It is) in Books (Taurat, Zabur, Injil, and Quran) held (greatly) in honour. Exalted (in dignity), kept pure and holy, (Written) by the hands of scribes― Honourable and Pious and Just. QS.80; 7-16

4.. If thou wert in doubt as to what We have revealed unto thee, then ask those who have been reading the Book from before thee: the Truth hath indeed come to thee from thy Lord: so be in nowise of those in doubt. QS 10;94.
5..And before this there was the Book of Musa, a guide and a mercy. And this is a Book confirming (it) in Arabic tongue, so that it may warn the wrongdoers and give good news to those who are good in their deeds. QS 46;12
6…And before this(AL QURAN), was the Book of Moosa as a guide and a mercy: and this Book confirms (it) in the Arabic tongue; to admonish the unjust, and as Glad Tidings to those who do right.QS 46:12
WHO ARE BELIEVERS?
7…Those who believe, those who are Jews, and the Christians and Sabaeans, all who believe in Allah and the Last Day and act rightly, will have their reward with their Lord. They will feel no fear and will know no sorrow. (QS 2; 62).
8..Those who believe (in the Qur’an) those who follow the Jewish (Scriptures) and the Sabians and the Christians― any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness―on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve. QS 5: (69)

PROPHET MUHAMMAD TREAT JEWS AND CHRISTIAN FAIRLY AND KINDLY.
10….but say: “I believe in the Book which Allah has sent down; and I am commanded to judge justly between you. Allah is Our Lord and your Lord. For us (is the responsibility for) Our deeds, and for you for your deeds. There is no contention between us and you. Allah will bring us together, and to Him is (Our) final goal. QS 42:15.
11….If Allah had so willed, He would have made you ( Jews,Christian,and Muslim ) a single people, but (His plan is) to test you in what He hath given you: so strive as in a race in all virtues. The goal of you all is to Allah; it is He that will show you the truth of the matters in which ye dispute. QS 5:(48).
12…To each (Jews,Christian, Mukmin ) is a goal (direction) to which Allah turns him; then strive together (as in a race) toward all that is good. Wheresoever ye are, Allah will bring you together. For Allah hath power over all things. qs 2:(148).
MIRACLE OF JESUS
13…from among them, should be the guardian of Maryam, 15 nor were you with them when they were quarrelling. (44) Remember the time) when the angels said: “O Maryam, Allah gives you the good news of a Word from Him 16 whose name is Masih ‘Isa , the son of Maryam (the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary) a man of status in this world and in the Hereafter, and one of those who are near (to Allah). (45) He shall speak to people while (he is still) in the cradle, and also later, when he is of mature age; and he shall be one of the righteous.” (46) She said: “O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me.” He said: “So (it will be) for Allâh creates what He wills.
Remember the time) when the angels said: “O Maryam, Allah gives you the good news of a Word from Him whose name is Masih ‘Isa , the son of Maryam (the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary) a man of status in this world and in the Hereafter, and one of those who are near (to Allah). (45) He shall speak to people while (he is still) in the cradle, and also later, when he is of mature age; and he shall be one of the righteous.” 46. When He has decreed something, He says to it only: “Be!” – and it is (47) And He (Allâh) will teach him [‘Īsā (Jesus)] the Book and Al-Hikmah (i.e. the Sunnah, the faultless speech of the Prophets, wisdom), (and) the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) (48) And will make him [‘Īsā (Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel (saying): “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, a figure like that of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allâh’s Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allâh’s Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe. (49) And I have come confirming that which was before me of the Taurât (Torah), and to make lawful to you part of what was forbidden to you, and I have come to you with a proof from your Lord. So fear Allâh and obey me. (50) Truly! Allâh is my Lord and your Lord, so worship Him (Alone). This is the Straight Path. QS 3; 47-51.
14…She said: “How can I have a son, when no man has touched me, nor am I unchaste?” (20) He said: “So (it will be), your Lord said: ‘That is easy for Me (Allâh): And (We wish) to appoint him as a sign to mankind and a mercy from Us (Allâh), and it is a matter (already) decreed, (by Allâh).’ ” (21) So she conceived him[], and she withdrew with him to a far place (i.e. Bethlehem valley about 4-6 miles from Jerusalem).QS 19; 20-22.
15….Then she pointed to him. They said: “How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?[]” (29) “He [‘Īsā (Jesus)] said: Verily! I am a slave of Allâh, He has given me the Scripture and made me a Prophet;[]” (30) “And He has made me blessed wheresoever I be, and has enjoined on me Salât (prayer), and Zakât, as long as I live.” (31) “And dutiful to my mother, and made me not arrogant, unblest. (32) “And Salâm (peace) be upon me the day I was born, and the day I die, and the day I shall be raised alive!” (33) Such is ‘Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary). (it is) a statement of truth, about which they doubt (or dispute) QS.19; 29-34.
MARYAM WAS A HOLY MATHER
16…Oh Mariam, Verily, God has chosen you, purified you and chosen above the women of the mankind QS 3;42
JESUS WAS A HOLY SON OF MARYAM
17…She said: “I seek refuge from thee to (Allah) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah.” (18) He said: “Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.” QS 19;18-19.
18…And (remember) her who guarded her chastity: We breathed into her of Our Spirit, and We made her and her son a Sign for all peoples. (91) Verily, this Brotherhood of yours is a single Brotherhood and I am your Lord and Cherisher: therefore serve Me (and no other).QS 21; 91-92.
19…We gave Musa the Book and followed him up with a succession of Messengers; We gave ‘Isa, the son of Maryam, Clear (Signs) and strengthened him with the Holy Spirit. Is it that whenever there comes to you a Messenger with what ye yourselves desire not, ye are puffed up with pride? Some ye called impostors, and others ye slay!QS 2;87
3 HOLY
20…So according to Al Quran, Allah and Rasulullah (saw), there were 3 Holy;
1. Allah is a Holy Spirit.
2. Maryam was also Holy mother of Jesus.
3. Jesus was also Holy son of Maryam.
The so called Trinity refer to QS 5;73.
After 600 years later, Allah explain to Muhammad saw that Allah have no son, no children. As Allah said;
Say: He is Allah the One and Only; (1) Allah, the Eternal, Absolute; (2) He begetteth not, nor is He begotten; (3) And there is none like unto Him. (4) QS 112;1-4.
They disbelieve who say: Allah is one of three in a Trinity: for there is no god except One God. If they desist not from their word (of blasphemy), verily a grievous penalty will befall the blasphemers among them. QS 5;73 .
Most of Christian are still holding their belief that Jesus as is a Son of God.
There are so many meaning of son of God;
All people are the children of God
All people are the slave of God.
All people are God’s workers, work for God.

To be wiser, let Allah judge this issue, Allah created Jesus without man-father, Allah is All Knowing. We are all a sinner, as Allah said.
21,….And (‘Isa) shall be a Sign (for the coming of) the Hour (of Judgment): therefore have no doubt about the (Hour), but follow ye Me: this is a Straight Way.QS 43;61
22….”We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”;― but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not.― Nay, Allah raised him up unto Himself; and Allah is Exalted in Power, Wise. QS 4; 157-158.
23….’He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”Matthew 28:5-7
Based on above verses; the two great religions of Islam and Christianity diverge. Only Allah all knowing and all powerful.
But according to Al Quran and Bible there was similarity that Jesus raised him up unto Himself.
THOSE WHO PRACTICE JESUS TEACHING.
24…Then, in their wake, We followed them up with (others of) Our Messengers: We sent after them ‘Isa the son of Maryam, and bestowed on him the Gospel; and We ordained in the hearts of those who followed him Love,or Compassion and Mercy. QS.57;27.
JESUS WAS A PROPHET
25…He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel.QS 43;59
26…The Masih, son of Maryam, is no more than a Messenger. There have been messengers before him. His mother was very truthful. Both of them used to eat food. Look how We explain signs to them, then see how far they are turned away. (75) Say, “Do you worship, besides Allah, what has no power to do you harm or bring you benefit?” Allah is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing. QS 5: (76).
27.. And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.(taqwa) QS.5;(46).

28…The Roman Empire has been defeated, In a land close by: but they, (even) after (this) defeat of theirs, will soon be victorious, Within a few years. With Allah is the Decision. In the Past and in the Future: on that Day shall the Believers rejoice, With the help of Allah. He helps whom He will, and He is Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. QS.30:2-5
THAT IS WHY GOD COMMANDED PROPHET MUHAMMAD(SAW) TO BELIEVE AND PRACTICE ALL HIS BOOKS.
29…He has revealed to you the Book with the truth, confirming what has been before it, and has sent down the Torah and the Injil (3) Earlier to give guidance to mankind, and has sent down the Furqan (THE BOOK OF ZABUR). Surely, those who have rejected the verses of Allah, for them there is severe punishment. Allah is Mighty, the Lord of Retribution. QS 3:1-4
30…..”(Jesus said) God has made me blessed wherever I go, and He commanded me to observe the shalat prayer and charity for as long as I live QS 19;30-31
PROPHET MUHAMMAD(SAW) LOVE JESUS.
31….Say ye: “We believe, in Allah and the revelation given to us and to Abraham Isma`il Isaac Jacob and the Tribes and that given to Moses and Jesus and that given to (all) Prophets from their Lord we make no difference between one and another of them and we bow to Allah (in Islam).” QS 2 :136
32…O ye who believe! Believe —-in Allah— and his Messenger, —and the scripture which He hath sent to —His Messenger and the scripture which He sent to those before (him). And who denieth Allah, His angels, His Books, His Messengers, and the Day of Judgment, hath gone far, far astray. QS 4: 136.
If I miss some of Jesus’s verses in Al Quran, you are the one who can complete it.
MY SUGGESTION TO ALL MUSLIM
1. I URGE you to read and practice all His Books namely Bible
2. Do follow idols, or those who accuse Bible has been altered by human, and those who accuse Al Quran contains Satan’s verses.
3. Believe all His books are guaranteed purity or Holy.
4. Believe that Jews, Christian and Muslim are Islam
5. Allah and prophet Muhammad(saw) have guaranteed those who follow Jesus teaching will be filled with mercy, love, light and guidance to paradise.
I strongly believe that all His people can live in peace, harmony and prosperity on earth.
ASK ALLAH FOR FORGIVENESS.
“If you do love Allah, follow me(completely): Allah will love you and forgive you your sins; for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” QS 3:31.
Ask forgiveness from your Lord; for He is Oft-Forgiving; (10) “`He will send rain to you in abundance; (11) “`Give you increase in wealth and sons; and bestow on you Gardens and bestow on you rivers (of flowing water). (12) QS 71;10-12,
