  1. According to Sharia Unveiled, in 1991, 70% of the Adjarians in the Republic of Georgia were muhamadans (Actually Muslims- corrected by Editor) but as at Sept 18,2013, that population had become 75% Orthodox Christians. Turkey, which borders that region of Georgia, was so disturbed that the government decided to send in some mullahs and imams to check the deluge.

    • Namelee: Hatred is bad for your heart. If you do not have the decency of calling Muslims as Muslims, you do not deserve to comment on this post.

  2. Abdul,
There is no hatred in calling you by the very name that Muhammad, the founder of your religion coined. It has also been used by others of your movement. If it is not hatred for them to use it, then only hatred will make my using the same term to be seen otherwise.
I notice that the story on the Kenyan convert has been removed. Isn’t that hatred?

  3. If Islam is so bad, then why is it the WORLD’S FASTEST GROWING RELIGION! It is also one of the youngest religions. However no matter how hard everyone tries to give Islam a bad name, it will be twice as more populated. So let’s get straight to the point yeah?, Basically Islam is the most hated religion I don’t know why hmm maybe because it is also the most fastest growing religion and 2nd largest but no one will be able to stop this religion from growing.

A new study found that the number of Britons converting to Islam is growing, a London-based newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The Independent newspaper said that the estimated number of British converts has always been difficult to count because “census data does not differentiate between a religious person that has adopted a new faith or was born into it.”

According to a new study by the inter-faith think tank Faith Matters, the real figure could be as high as 100,000, with as many as 5,000 new conversions nationwide each year. Previous estimates have placed the number of Muslim converts in the UK at between 14,000 and 25,000.

The study used data from the Scottish 2001 census, the only survey to ask respondents what their religion was at birth as well as at the time of the survey; researchers broke down what proportion of Muslim converts there were by ethnicity and then extrapolated the figures for Britain as a whole, the newspaper said. In all they estimated that there were 60,699 converts living in Britain in 2001.

The researchers polled mosques in London to try to calculate how many conversions take place a year. The results gave a figure of 1,400 conversions in the capital in the past 12 months, which, when extrapolated nationwide, would mean approximately 5,200 people converting to Islam every year.

Meanwhile, the figures are comparable with studies in Germany and France, which found that there were around 4,000 conversions a year in each country.

“This report is the best intellectual ‘guestimate’ using census numbers, local authority data and polling from mosques,” Fiyaz Mughal, director of Faith Matters, told the newspaper.

“Either way, few people doubt that the number adopting Islam in the UK has risen dramatically in the past 10 years.”

Asked why people were converting in such large numbers, he replied: “I think there is definitely a relationship between conversions being on the increase and the prominence of Islam in the public domain. People are interested in finding out what Islam is all about, and when they do that they go in different directions. Most shrug their shoulders and return to their lives, but some will inevitably end up liking what they discover and will convert.”

  4. Bismilahirahmanirrahiim.

Many Muslim feel happy and excited if a non Muslim converted to Islam.

But not me, I will be happy if he or she became a good Muslim,in the sense of she will be a true Muslim.

    Why I think that way?

Because to convert to Islam, there is no guarantee from God, she / he will enter Paradise. There is NO one word from God in Al Quran, a Islam will enter Paradise automatically.

To become a Islam or Muslim is so easy, just say; —“Laillaaha illallah. Muhammad is Rasulullah”–

or born from Islam parents, also become Islam automatically, Right?

To get Paradise from God, it is not so easy, we have to follow God’s law completely and properly and you have to work harder.

God said; only few people will enter the Home of Hereafter (Paradise).

Muslim must be careful, in the pass, nowadays, those who converted to Islam become a terrorist, and mislead Muslim.

I urge Muslim, do not be so excited if some one converted to Islam, we have to see what she will be doing the next days..years ahead.

May God bless and guide those who converted to Islam, Ameen

    All love.

  5. Iftikhar Ahmad,
My earlier reply to your comment was deliberately deleted. This one may likely suffer the same fate.
One would have thought that for a charge as serious as hatred, there would be an opportunity to hear various views. Not so on The Muslim Times.
Aware of the intolerance facing this post, I will not be deterred from making an input.
The myth of muhammadans being the victims of hatred is demolished by the facts.
The FBI published the statistics on religious based crimes in the US in 2010. 887 or 65.4% of those crimes were against Jews while 160 or 13.25 were against muhammadans. Even Christians suffered more than the muhammadans.
Why are the muhammadans always complaining? Because they love playing victimhood.
To understand who is guilty of hatred, it is important to look at the following:
    1. The source literature. Both the quran and hadiths call for hatred and enmity towards non muhammadans, sura 60:5 for instance.
2.It is mostly, if not only, in muhammadan countries can one find the religion being enshrined and given official protection in the constitution to the detriment of others.
3.It is mostly, but may not be only, in muhammadan countries that other religionists are attacked for their faith to the satisfaction of the authorities.
    4. There is hardly any justice for victims of muhammadan crimes.

  6. Namelee, when would you please stop stereotyping, all Muslims and stop labeling the 1.5 billion Muslims with the actions of the worst among them?

What you do is like a Jew or a Muslim, looking at all Christians, as reincarnation of Hitler and also as pedophile, because some Catholic Priests have been guilty of the crime.

Have you heard the term, guilt by association?

There are some two million Christians in American jails also, I do not judge you by what they have done.

We agree with you that in many of the so called Muslim countries, minorities, including Ahmadi Muslims are denied their basic human rights. But, it is hard to deal with you until you are stereotyping like you do.

  7. Zia,
The person who is guilty of stereotyping is you, without a doubt. I have accused you, and it is true, that the only things you write about Christianity are negative.
I wonder if you have ever heard the term ‘projection’. Each time you say something against Christianity, you are projecting muhammadanism on Christianity.
