During his presentation, Imam Shamshad noted that the worldwide head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community has written to many major world leaders to help further the cause of peace.
Imam Shamshad Ahmad Nasir of the Baitul Hameed Mosque in Chino, California, was on the agenda today, Monday, March 10, 2014, to lead the invocation at the Upland City Council Meeting.
Imam Shamshad, who serves as a regional missionary of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community for the southwest region, is a member of the Upland Interfaith Council.
At the start of the meeting at 7:00 pm, Mayer Ray Musser invited Imam Shamshad to the podium to bless the meeting with prayers.
In his introduction Imam Shamshad said that the worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community stands for peace pursuant to the Quranic injunction which requires loyalty to one’s homeland to be a part of every Muslim’s faith.
