English Translation from Chrome:
There just a month ago, on December 19, the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) took an important step in preventing the deportation of a young Pakistani France to his country of origin. If France referred the citizen of Pakistan, it violated Article 3 of the Convention, which prohibits torture and inhuman or degrading treatment. Born in 1989 in a Sunni family, the young man was converted to the Ahmadi or Ahmadiyya, a minority current of Islam appeared in the 19th century and violently persecuted because considered heretical. Abducted and tortured by his own family, he took the road to exile in 2009 when he was under a religious warrant. Her case is emblematic of the many and varied persecution – from simple administrative harassment to lynching – faced by Ahmadis in Pakistan. We do not know but too often, Pakistan, the blasphemy law is not intended that Christians but concerns in 40% of cases Ahmadis. Although Muslims, so it is forbidden to claim Islam – under penalty of a fine and three years in prison.
Ahmadis have appeared in northern India today, in the town of Qadian, in the particular context of British colonization in the late 19th century. The English are gradually imposed by force and domination requires people in all their possessions, both in Africa and Asia, to question the reasons for Western military superiority. Some then come to bind the superiority of British Christianity. Hence an attempt to syncretism with Islam. Thus in 1891, in the town of Qadian, Mirza Ghulam Ahmad claimed to be the Messiah of all religions. He proclaimed messiah both Christians and Muslims mahdi in 1891 (he later claimed, in 1904, avatar of Krishna , that is to say, a reincarnation of the famous Hindu god). It is this last statement which will be source of torment for his faithful, Ahmadis. Most Muslims indeed depart from the premise that Muhammad is “the last prophet” – “Khatamun Nabiyyin” that Ahmadis reflect rather by the “seal of the prophets” . Whoever denies this assertion is automatically considered heretical – or worse -. Apostate Between the French Revolution and the end of the 19th century, numerous religious movements appear universalist and around the world in response to the industrial revolution and the poverty that it entails. Some of these movements are then reabsorbed by a majority religion. This is the case of the Ismailis, two fingers at a time in their history to separate from Islam. Their spiritual leader, the Aga Khan Iran, will apply in the 20th century “réislamiser” doctrine in the 20th century. Ahmadis are relatively similar in the circumstances of their appearance and spiritual doctrine – the importance of tolerance and education, religious syncretism – the Bahai group born in Iran at about the same time but is it totally out of Islam. Education and proselytizing From their appearance, Ahmadis quickly create a centralized proselytizing organization that allows them to spread throughout the Indian Empire and even beyond.
Long before the independence of Pakistan, Ahmadis had already had some success with low-caste Hindus. In closed societies, blocked by caste endogamy, Ahmadis settle by offering a universalist and tolerant doctrine. Proselytism is mainly related to education and is often simply to create schools where there were none. “This is a basic technique proselytism, as well as the installation of electricity in villages that lack explains Michel Boivin, historian and Islamic scholar. not known example of proselytizing for no consideration. Thus, there are examples of villages that are converted simply because they had built a dam nearby “ . Their doctrine has met with some success with the middle class of the time and smallholders Pakistan. But despite their proselytizing, Ahmadis are still generally concentrated in the Punjab region, which straddles India and Pakistan.Their number itself is questionable. “Organizations of human rights have a tendency , says another scholar of Asia, to take at face value the figures given by Ahmadis themselves “ . In the issue of its journal published last September, the Human Rights Committee and estimated to number in the world at 160 million. They are actually much less, especially since they are mainly concentrated in the north of Pakistan. The confession Ahmadis themselves, they were in fact only 500,000 in 1960, when Pakistan had only 50 million people. With the natural evolution of the population – Pakistan now has 193 million inhabitants – the current number of Ahmadis is probably much lower than they claim. Islamist Bid for power crisis The persecution of Ahmadis start almost from the onset of movement but take a new turn from Pakistan’s independence. Ironically, when the country was founded in 1947, Ahmadis transfer their siege of the city of Qadian, India, Chenab Nagar to renamed Rabwah, in the newly created Muslim state. “Pakistan was created on some idea of Islam that has never really developed , says Michel Boivin. This led to an Islamist bidding for a lot of power legitimacy whenever he was in trouble “ .
In 1953, riots calling for the resignation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs – Ahmadi – lead to the fall of the government of the day. But the first discriminatory laws dating back to 1974, when the power of the Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto comes under the influence of Maulana Maududi famous Islamist, to declare that Ahmadis are not Muslims.Persecution enters a new phase with the General Zia ul-Haq, who spills Ali Bhutto in 1979 and decided to impose a single interpretation of Islam. During his tenure, two sets of orders are taken a series of anti-Ahmadi law that penalize if they present themselves as Muslims, and a second series of laws, blasphemy. All in a context of widespread discrimination that includes both Christians and Hindus and Shiites, who represent between 20 and 25% of the population in whom it has the largest number of victims of terrorism. “Pakistan was created by Muslims and each threat whatsoever, is perceived as coming from India “ , the great Hindu power neighbor remarked Michel Boivin. Much to the embarrassment of the government, the year of the coming to power of General Zia, physicist Abdus Salam won the Nobel Prize, and remain the only Pakistani to have ever received this prestigious award. He was an Ahmadi.

Good Folks at Muslim Times: Peace!
Journalists are in the business of providing INFORMATION. This English translation is MISINFORMATION. It’s misleading and incomprehensible, totally misrepresenting the original French content. I’m afraid a disservice to your readers.
Quick example:
– The English translation of the title is awful:
Les ahmadis, un islam “tabou” (Ahmadis, an Islamic “taboo”)
[Note that ‘Islamic’ is used as an adjective to qualify the word ‘taboo’. What type of taboo? Answer: ‘An Islamic taboo.’]
In reality, the French simply says, “Ahmadis: A forbidden Islam”.
As one reads on, it gets worse, to the point of total miscommunication.
SUGGESTED SOLUTION:
In cases where you are dealing with content in a foreign language, it might be preferable to hold back on publishing the original (in this case French) until you get a more faithful translation done.
For example, the present article contains about 1,200 words. It would take about Eight (8) hours to translate. If you think about it, that’s NOT a great deal of delay.
Who will do it? There are good French-English translators available in France, Côte d’Ivoire, Mauritius, etc., who would love to take on this type of assignment (free of charge, of course). In fact, the translation time could be cut down if the work were divided between 2 or more translators, and with one of them reviewing the whole text at the end to ensure a coherent flow, tone, etc.
Also, because of the time difference between Mauritius and North America for example, you could send a text for translation by EoD on the US East coast, and wake up next morning and have it already done and waiting to be published!
Similarly, for other languages, you should be able to leverage good translation resources in the corresponding countries.
So, well within the domain of the possible. Just a question of setting up this network of translators
for different languages ahead of time, and calling upon the right individual(s) as and when the need arises. God-willing, you would thus be able to provide a much better service for your readers than can be achieved through reliance on online translating tools solely.

A-R.
Thank you so much. Would you be able to give us a better translation and we will replace it. Thanks again
Lisan al-`arab – Meaning Of Khatam
In the Lisan al-`arab, it says:
“Wa bil-kasri khatimu-hum, wa bil-fathi khatamu-hum akhiru-hum.”
meaning:
“With kasra (vowel stroke under a letter) it is khatimu-hum, and with fath (vowel stroke above a letter) it is khatamu-hum, and it means the last of them.”
It goes on to say:
“Khatim and khatam Nubuwwat are among the titles of the Prophet Muhammad, and in the Quran it says: Muhammad is not the father of any man from among you but he is the messenger of Allah and the khatam of the prophets, that is to say, the Last of them (akhiru-hum).”
Further on it says:
“Among his (Prophet Muhammad’s) names is al-`aqib also, and its meaning is the Last of the prophets (akhirul-anbiya).”
Mufradat of Raghib
This famous dictionary of the Holy Quran, under the root kh-t-m,discusses the various occurrences of words based on this root in the Quran. It then says:
“Khatam an-nabiyyin li-anna-hu khatama an-nubuwwata ayi tammama-ha bi-maji’i-hi.”
meaning:
“He is the Khatam an-nabiyyin because he ended prophethood, that is, he made it complete by his appearance.”
Classical commentaries (tafasir) of the Quran.
The classical commentators also explain khatam an-nabiyyin as meaning the Last of the prophets.
Abu Hayyan says:
inna-hum (“they” – the prophets)
bi-hi (“with him”, i.e. Prophet Muhammad)
khutimu (“have come to an end”)
nabiyy-un (“prophets”)
Here the passive voice khutimu is used, meaning “have come to an end”.
In Fath al-Bayan, it is recorded:
“Khatam is that by which something is terminated. Thus the meaning is that God has terminated prophethood with him, and so there is no prophet after him.”
Ibn Jarir (the famous at-Tabari) writes:
“The meaning of khatam an-nabiyyin, ‘ta’ with ‘fath’, is that he is the Last of the prophets.”
In the commentary of al-Baidawi it is written:
“Akhiru-hum al-ladhi khutima bi-him au khatamu bi-hi”
meaning:
“The last (akhir) of them with whom they (the prophets) came to an end, or they came to an end with him.”
Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) writes:
“This verse [Quran 33:40] of Khatam an-nabiyyin is a clear proof that no prophet would come after him … and there have been continuous (mutawattir) reports on the subject, recorded by an entire group (jama`at) of the Companions of the Prophet.”
These hadith reports are to be found in the most reliable of the Hadith collections, i.e. Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmizi, Nisa’i, Ibn Maja etc.
It may be noted that in these hadith reports the Prophet Muhammad has used several different ways to explain that he is the Last Prophet.
In many reports he uses the words: La nabiyya ba`di, meaning “There is no prophet after me”.
In some reports he uses the passive voice of khatam (kutima, “have come to an end”), rather than the active participle, to say that “prophets have come to an end with me”.
In sahih muslim; Muhammad (saw) said ; “I am the last (akhir) Prophet.”
In Muwatta; Prophet Muhammad (saw) said that “I am Al Aqib (last prophet).”
In Bukhari; Muhammad (saw) said; “I am the last prophet if there was to be a prophet after me it would be Umar.”
may i ask the followers of mirza as to who was the last daughter of fatima?
correction on the last statement; who was the last daughter of Muhammad (saw)?
the answer is fatima.
even though zaynab outlived fatima, fatima is still condidered as the last daughter of Muhammad (saw) because she was born last.
Thus Quran, hadith, athar and ijma of the classical ulama have clearly stated that Muhammad (saw) is the last (akhir) prophet. so when the messiah Isa ibn maryam (as) returns based upon hadith literature; it doesnt go against the belief of khatam nubuwwat because Isa (as) was born before Muhammad (saw) regardless if he outlived Muhammad (saw)
I have three sons, may Allah give them a long healthy and productive life.
However, when the last of them dies, no matter what birth order he is, people may say, the last of Zia Shah’s sons has died.
No one is calling my youngest son as my last son. They do call him as my youngest.
Last is one who survives last. Unfortunately, non-Ahmadis have to invent new language to describe the ‘last,’ just like the Christians have to invent a new counting system to suit their Trinity.
These are the extreme forms of irrationality, religions can preach to suit whatever else is their agenda.
also what do u mean by seal of Prophets.
Quran in chapter 33 verse 40; “Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and last of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing.”
The above verse is very clear that Muhammad (saw) is the last appointed prophet and the context proves this because if there were to be any Prophets after Muhammad (saw) it would have been his son/s due to the honour of Prophet Muhammad (saw). But since all his sons passed away before attaining maturity, the verse makes it clear that the appointment of Prophethood is sealed and finished.
Their first objection was that he had married his own daughter-in-law, whereas according to his own law the son’s wife is forbidden for the father. This was answered by saying: “Muhammad is not the father of any of your men.” That is, Zaid was not his real son, and so it was not unlawful to marry his divorced wife.
Their second objection was that even if his adopted son was not his real son, it was not necessary that he should have marred his divorced wife. This was answered by saying: ” . . . but he is the Messenger of Allah.” That is, it was his duty as the Messenger of Allah to put an end to all kinds of prejudices about a lawful thing which custom and tradition had made unlawful without good reason and declare it to be lawful once again.
The point was stressed by saying: ” … and (he is) the last of the Prophets.” That is, not to speak of a Messenger, no other Prophet would be raised after him, who could make up for a possible deficiency in the enforcement of a reform in the law and society that might have been left un-enforced in his time. Therefore, it had become all the more necessary that he should himself root out the custom of ignorance.
Again, to further emphasize this point, it was said: “Allah has knowledge of everything. ” that is, Allah knows best why it was imperative to get the custom of ignorance rooted out at that juncture through the Holy Prophet Muhammad (upon whom be Allah’s peace) rather than let it remain as it was. He knows that no other prophet would be coming after him in the future; therefore, if He did not abolish this custom through His Last Prophet, no other person after him would be able to abolish it for all the Muslims of the world for ever. Even if the later reformers would abolish it, no action of any one of them will have the permanent and universal authority behind it so that the people of every country and every age might -start following it, and none of them would have a personality endowed with that holiness and sanctity that an action’s being merely his way (Sunnah) might root out every feeling of aversion and abhorrence from the mind of the people.
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said; “I am the last prophet there is no prophet after me.” [Abdul Malik’s Muwatta, Bukhari, Muslim, Abu dawud, Musnad Ahmad and ibn majah]
Quran says that Muhammad (peace be upon him) is indeed the seal of the Prophets.
Thus it’s clear that Prophet Muhammad (saw) is the last appointed, last born prophet with the last divine book and complete Shariah.
The prophet himself said that he is the last of the prophets and the Quran is the last revelation. The first 3 generations which are the best of generations agreed that the prophet Muhammad (pbuh) is the last prophet and his Ummah is the last blessed Ummah.
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: Allah has not sent any Prophet who did not warn his nation about Dajjal, but Now “I AM THE LAST OF PROPHETS (آخر الأنبياء)” and you are the last Ummah (آخر الأمم), he will for sure arise from amongst you [Sunnan Ibn Majah, Hadith # 4067]
Jabir bin Abdullah; and its last sentence reads, “It is in me that line of Prophets came to its final end.” [Musnad Abu Dawud Tayalisi]
Muhammad affirmed: “The chain of Messengers and Prophets has come to an end. There shall be no Messenger or Prophet after me.” [Tirmidhi, Kitab-ur-Rouya Babu Zahab-un- Nubuwwa, Musnad Ahmad, Marwiyat-Anas bin Malik]
Muhammad (saw) observed: “I am Muhammad, I am Ahmad, I am the effacer and infidelity shall be erased through me; I am the assembler. People shall be assembled on Doomsday after my time. And I am the last in the sense that no prophet shall succeed me.” [Bukhari and Muslim, Kitab-ul-Fada’il, Bab: Asmaun-Nabi; Tirmidhi, Kitab-ul- Adab, Bab: Asma-un-Nabi; malik’s Muatta’, Kitab-u-Asma in-Nabi, Al- Mustadrak Hakim, Kitab-ut-Tarikh, Bab: Asma-un-Nabi]
Muhammad observed: “God Almighty hath sent unto the world no apostle who did not warn his people about the appearance of Dajjal (Anti-Christ, but Dajjal did not appear in their time). I am the last in the line of Prophets and ye are the last community of believers. Without doubt, then, Dajjal shall appear from amongst you”. [Ibn Majah, Kitabul-fitan, bab:Dajjal]
‘Abdur Rahman bin Jubair reported: “I heard Abdullah bin ‘Amr ibn-’As narrating that one day Muhammad came out of his house and joined our company. His manner gave us the impression as if he were leaving us.’ He said, ‘I am Muhammad, the unlettered prophet of Allah’ and repeated this statement three times. Then he affirmed: “There will be no prophet after me’.” [Musnad Ahmad, Marwiyat’Abdullah bin Amr ibn’-As.]
Muhammad (saw) said: “If an Apostle were to succeed me, it would have been ‘Umar bin Khattab.” [Tirmidhi,Kitab-ul- Manaqib]
Muhammad (saw) told ‘Ali (ra), “You are related to me as Aaron was related to Moses. But no Apostle will come after me.”[Bukhari and Muslim, Kitab Fada’il as-Sahaba]
Thauban reports: “Muhammad observed: And there will arise Thirty imposters in my Ummah and each one of them will pronounce to the world that he is a prophet, but I am the last in the line of the Prophets of God and no Apostle will come after me.” [Abu Dawud, Kitab-ul-Fitan]
Muhammad (saw) said: “No Prophet will come after me and there will, therefore, be no other community of followers of any new prophet.” [Baihaqi, Kitab-ul Rouya; Tabarani]
@ zia
followers of Mirza Ghulam Ahmad say: “Khatam-un-Nabiyeen means the seal of Prophet” i.e. first Prophethood was bestowed by God, but now Prophethood will be bestowed by following Hazrat Muhammad SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam. If one follows the Holy Prophet SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam one will become Prophet.
CHALLENGE:
O zia If there is any truth in your claim and if you have any sense of honour, bring a witness to your explanation. If the combined effort of the whole class presents a single verse from the Holy Quran or a single Hadith, , or the saying of any ‘Sahabi’ that proves the meaning of ‘Khatam-un-Nabiyeen’ is that the seal of Hazrat Muhammad SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam bestows Prophethood, . The fact is that the verses of the Holy Quran and the sayings of the Holy Prophet SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam and the explanations of Sahaba (Radi Allah-o-Anhum) and Tabaeen (Rahmat Ullah Alaihim), Arabian lexicography and Grammar prove that the meaning of ‘Khatam-un-Nabiyeen’ that Mirza Ghulam Ahmad drew are false and distorted.” (Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Kamil).
lets not forget that even mirza earlier agreed with the muslims that Muhammad (saw) is the last prophet, Isa (as) was raised up alive and that he will return literally and that this does not go against finality of prophethood of Muhammad (saw)
THE REASONS OF REFUTATION OF Mirza Ghulam Ahmad
1. The very first thing is that this meaning is quite contrary to Arabian idiom and usage
2. In his book ‘Azala Awham’, p.614; Roohani Khazain’, v.3, p.431. Mirza Ghulam Qadiani himself translates the word, ‘Khatam-un-Nabiyeen’, as ‘the one who is the last in the chain of Prophets’.
3. Here is given just one example:
“A girl was born with me whose name was Jannat. First she came out of womb. I followed her. After me no girl or boy was born to my parents and I was ‘Khatim Aulad’ (last in the chain of children)”
(Taryaqal quloob, p.157; Roohani Khazain, v.15 p.479)
If ‘Khatim Aulad’ means that he was the last child of his parents and no child was born to them afterwards, then the translation of ‘Khatam-un-Nabiyeen’ would mean that after Hazrat Muhammad SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam there was not any type of Prophet. Thus Muhammad (saw) is the last Prophet since he was the last born Prophet!!
If, on the other hand, ‘Khatam-un-Nabiyeen’ means that the seal of Hazrat Muhammad SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam makes or causes Prophets, then ‘Khatim Aulad’ would mean that ‘the seal of Mirza Qadiani would cause children to be born to his parents. In such a case with the seal of Mirza Qadiani, his mother would continue to bear children. but that did not happen
4. u allege that since Hazrat Muhammad’s SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam time to Mirza Qadiani’s time, there had been no Prophet. Mirza Qadiani himself writes”
“In this Ummah much was revealed to me and many hidden things were opened to me. In this Ummah I am the only person who has been bestowed with so much share in this respect. Many holy men ‘Abdal’ and ‘Aqtab’ have passed before me. They were not bestowed with so much a share. That is why only I was selected to be called a Prophet (Nabi) and the others were not entitled to it.”
(Haqeeqatul Wahi, p.391.Roohani Khazain, v.22, p.406).
The passage shows that in the past 1400 years, Prophethood was bestowed only to Mirza Ghulam according to u zia. After Mirza Qadiani there is ‘successors’ among mirzais (not Prophethood). In this way with the seal of Hazrat Muhammad SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam Prophethood was bestowed only to Mirza Qadiani accoridng to ur group. So, Hazrat Muhammad SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam is ‘Khatimun Nabi’ and not ‘Khatam-un-Nabiyeen’ (because to only one person Prophethood has been bestowed. May God forgive).
5. If ‘Khatam-un-Nabiyeen’ means that the Prophethood is bestowed with Hazrat Muhammad SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam’s seal, then he SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam stands ‘Khatim’ for the future Prophets. So, he SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam will not be ‘Khatim’ for the Prophets from Adam Alaih-i-Salam to the messiah Alaih-i-Salam (May God forgive). In this sense the interpretation is contradictory to Quranic meaning.
Par, I would not indulge in your matters but many thousand friends are reading these pages so it is necessary that I should take account of your posts. You, par, should admit that Khaatam means a seal. The Quran published from Saudi Arabia has translated the verse as “He is the seal of the prophets.”
If you belong to khatam e nabuuwwat people (gang) then you must be Deobandi. The person who laid the foundation of the Deobandi school in India, his name was Muhammad Qasim Nanotawi. He wrote in his Urdu book “Tehzeer an Naas” that Muhammad is the seal of the prophets. His prophethood is personal (zaati). All other prophets got prophethood due to the blessing (faiz) of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. He also said (wrote) that even if any prophet appears in this age, it will not affect the finality of the prophethood of Muhammad s.a.w.s. That is a big blow to you, par.
See the verse 4:70 of Quran:
[4:70] And whoso obeys Allah and this Messenger of His shall be among those on whom Allah has bestowed His blessings, namely, the Prophets, the Truthful, the Martyrs, and the Righteous. And excellent companions are these.
[4:71] This grace is from Allah, and sufficient is Allah, the All-Knowing.
The above verse 4:70 is proving that any person who would be highly obedient to Allah and the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. will attain any of the four ranks mentioned in the verse i.e. prophethood, becoming Siddique, Shaheed or righteous (fit person). And excellent companions are these.
In next verse 4:71 it is told that it is all by the grace of Allah….
Parve, you are trying to deny the grace of Allah for this Ummah that he bestows on all true believers which they receive care of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. You are denying everything for a long time. Most recently you have denied a news item about the enactment against the use of the word “Allah” in Malaysia. You said that is a false news. Do you think that false news are being put on TMT here? You keep trying to denounce and deny all truths. It will hurt you in the end. There is no harm to us Ahmadis, Insha Allah.
You think that only Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad a.s. of Qadian (whom you did not name properly, I have objection to that) got prophethood. That is not true. Many attained to the level of prophethood in this Ummah. But they did not get the name “Nabi”. Otherwise they had the rank. They were Muhaddatheen, the persons who had all the capability of prophets and Allah spoke to them but did not give them the name of prophet. Name of prophet (Nabi) was given only to Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad a.s.
Your case of finality of prophethood is misguided. Ahmadis believe that prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. is the last prophet, i.e, last law bearing prophet. We all know that he brought a new law. As such he is last prophet as a last law bearing prophet. He is also a Rasool, a messenger from Allah.
Now another blow to you is here parv. All the previous old scholars of repute had explained the status of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. that he is the last law bearing prophet and no new law bearing prophet will come after him. Such persons (scholars) are named as Mulla Ali Qari rh.a. and Shaikh Mohayuddin ibne Akbar of Spain, and Hazrat Shah Waliullah Dehlavi, Muhammad Qasim nanotawi, and many others. The names had been provided in this forum many times.
Now a hadith: The prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. said “Even if Moses and Jesus become alive now, they would have no recourse (no way) except to follow in my footsteps.” That means “Hazrat Musa and Isa a.s. can come back. But they should leave their sharia (law) behind and may come back as a prophet without shariah. They will have to follow my Shariah.” It proves clearly that both Moses and Jesus a.s. have passed away. They are not alive now. And they can come back without their Shariah and follow the law of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. The prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. was only giving an example or a lesson. Otherwise he knew (and we all know) that nobody can come back in this world again.
Now another Hadith: The prophet s.a.w.s. said “Abu Bakr Afzal an naas e fee hadhi hi Ummat e, illa an yakoona nabiyyan.”
Translation: “(hazrat) Abu Bakr is the best person in this ummah except that any prophet be born or becomes (a prophet in the Ummah).” Word “yakoona” is used for creating something out of nothing. It means that thing comes into being anew, from nothing. That thing is not there before. Or that prophet is not an old one.
This Hadith is stating that Hazrat Abu Bakr is the best man in the Muslims except that any prophet ( Nabi) is born in the Ummah. It means if a prophet is born in the ummah then Abu Bakr is not the best. It does not say unless a prophet comes from the sky.
Now one last important information and a question to all the par type people: The Quran is stating at various places that a Messenger (Rasool) comes after every prophet. I would ask the opponents of Jama’at Ahmadiyyah which messenger has come after the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s??. It is definite teaching of the Quran that a messenger comes after the prophets. Allah took serious pledge from all prophets to believe and assist the messengers who would come after them, teaching the same verses as given to the prophet. (V. 3:81/82 and 33:7/8 and 7:36/37). I will Insha Allah try to show these verses in future posts. ( I tried to copy paste two verses here (4:70/71/72) but they did not appear in my post.)
Quran in chapter 33 verse 40; “Muhammad is not the father of [any] one of your men, but [he is] the Messenger of Allah and seal of the prophets. And ever is Allah, of all things, Knowing.”
The word used is Khaatam. That means seal. It does not mean “Last”. For “Last” there is the Arabic word “Aakhir”. Allah did not use the word “Aakhir” or “Aakhir un Nabiyyeen”. so the opponents of Ahmadiyat should also not use that word Aakhir in verse 33:40.
Hadith that states Muhammad (saw) is the last appointed prophet
When Holy Prophet PBUH came back from BADAR, His Uncle Hazrat ABBAS asked his permission to go back and come back to MADINAH for HIJRAH, But Holy Prophet PBUH said to him, “don’t worry my dear Uncle, you are KHATAM UL MOHAJIREEN like I am KHATAM UL ANBIYA.” The HOLY PROPHET PBUH said to HIS UNCLE, “STAY in your House (in MAKKAH) as Allah will END the HIJRAT with you as He ENDED the PROPHETHOOD with me.” [Kanz Ul Ummal vol 13 Page 519]
The real matter was that Hazrat Abbas (Razi Allah-o-Anho) after leaving (Migration) Mecca had left for Medina. When he had covered a distance of some miles, he came across the Holy Prophet SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam with an army of ten thousand ‘Qudse’, who had left Medina for Mecca to conquer it. Seeing this Hazrat Abbas was sorry that he could not get the honour of migration. At this occasion the Holy Prophet SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam said the words of the concerning Hadith. Hazrat Abbas (Razi Allah-o-Anho) was really the last migrant from Mecca. Holy migration is always from a place to infidelity towards a place of peace. Mecca was conquered by the Holy Prophet SallAllah-o-Alaihi Wa Aalihi Wasallam and it would remain a place of peace and security till Dooms day. So, Hazrat Abbas (Razi Allah-o-Anho) is really the last migrant. That is why the Holy Prophet said “O uncle! You are the last of the migrants. After you whoever leaves Mecca, will not get the title of a Migrant (Muhajir).
Hafiz Ibn Hajr writes. (Asabah, v.2, p.271 printed in Bairat) “Hazrat Abbas (Razi Allah-o-Anho) migrated before the conquest of Mecca and he was present at the occasion of the conquest.”
“The tribe of Israel was guided by prophets. When a prophet passed away, another prophet succeeded him. But no prophet will come after me; only caliphs will succeed me.” [Bukhari, Kitab-ul-Manaqib and Tafsir ibn kathir]
Muhammad (saw) affirmed: “My position in relation to the prophets who came before me can be explained by the following example: A man erected a building and adorned this edifice with great beauty, but he left an empty niche, in the corner where just one brick was missing. People looked around the building and marvelled at its beauty, but wondered why a brick was missing from that niche? I am like unto that one missing brick and I am the last in the line of the Prophets.” [Bukhari – Kitab-ul-Manaqib]
“So I came and in me the line of Prophets has ended.” [Muslim – Kitab-ul-Fada’il, Bab-ul-Khatimin-Nabiyyin, Tirmidhi – Kitab-ul-Manaqib, Bab-Fadlin Nabi and Kitab-Adab, Bab-ul-Amthal]
The very same tradition in similar words has been incorporated among other traditions reported by Jabir bin Abdullah; and its last sentence reads, “It is in me that line of Prophets came to its final end.” [Musnad Abu Dawud Tayalisi]
Musnad Ahmad contains traditions reported by Hadrat Ubayyi bin Ka’b, Hadrat Abu Sa’id Khudri and Hadrat Abu Huraira on the same subject with a slight variation of words here and there.[ Musnad Ahmad bin Hanbal]
Muhammad observed: “God has bestowed upon me six favours which the former Prophets did not enjoy:
I have been endowed with the gift of pithy and perfect speech.
I was granted victory owing to my awe.
The spoils of war were made lawful unto me.
The whole earth has been made the place of worship for me and it has become the means of purification for me also. In other words in my religion, offering of prayers is not confined to certain specified places of worship. Prayers can be offered at any place over the earth. And in case water is not available it is lawful for my people to perform ablutions with earth (Tayammum) and to cleanse themselves with the soil if water for bathing is scarce.
I have been sent by Allah to carry His Divine message to the whole world.
The line of prophets has come to its final end in me. [Muslim, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah]
Muhammad (saw) said: “Allah will send no Apostle after me, but only Mubashshirat. It was said: what is meant by al-Mubashshirat. He said : Good vision or pious vision”.[ Musnad Ahmad, Marwiyat Abu Tufail, Nasa’i, Abu Dawud]
Imam Suyuti said; “In other words there is no possibility of Divine revelation in future. At the most if someone receives an inspiration from Allah he will receive it in the form of “pious dream.”[Finality of Prophet by Suyuti]
This tradition is recorded in Bukhari and Muslim in the account of the Battle of Tabuk also. Musnad records two traditions narrated by Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas on this subject. The last sentence in one of these traditions runs as follows: “Behold there is no prophethood after me.”
Detailed accounts of the traditions report that on the eve of his departure for the battle of Tabuk, Muhammad had resolved to leave Hadrat ‘Ali behind him in order to look after the defense and supervise the affairs of Medina. The hypocrites thereupon began to spread insinuations and rumours about Hadrat ‘Ali. Hadrat ‘Ali went to the Prophet and submitted : ‘O Prophet of Allah, are you leaving me behind among women and children?’ On this occasion in order to set his mind at peace Muhammad observed: “You are related to me as was Aaron with Moses.” In other words “as Hadrat Moses on the Mount Tur had left Hadrat Aaron behind to look after the tribe of Israel, so I (Muhammad) leave you behind to look after the defense of Medina.” At the same time apprehending that this comparative allusion to Hadrat Aaron might later on give rise to heresies, the Muhammad immediately made it clear that “There will be no Prophet after me.” [Abu Dawud Tayalisi, Imam Ahmad and Seerah Muhammad bin Ishaq]
Abu Dawud in ‘Kitab-ul-Malahim’ has recorded another tradition reported by Abu Huraira in the same subject. Tirmidhi has also recorded these two traditions as reported by Thauban and Abu Huraira. The text of the second tradition runs thus: “It will come to this that thirty imposters will arise and each one of them will put forth his claim to be the Apostle of God.” Muhammad observed: “Among the tribe of Israel who went before you there indeed were such people who held communion with God, even though they were not his Prophets. If ever there arose a person from among my people who would hold communion with God, it would be none else but ‘Umar (May Allah be pleased with him).” [Bukhari, Kitab-ul-Manaqib]
A version of this same tradition in `Muslim’ contains Muhaddithuna instead of Yukallimuna. But then Mukalima and Muhaddith bear identical meaning i.e., a man enjoys the privilege of holding direct communion with God or a person who is addressed by the Almighty from the unseen. Thus we conclude that if there had been any person among the followers of Muhammad who could hold communion with God without being raised to the dignity of prophethood, it would have been `Umar.
Muhammad (saw) said: “No Prophet will come after me and there will, therefore, be no other community of followers of any new prophet.” [Baihaqi, Kitab-ul Rouya; Tabarani]
Muhammad observed (saw): “I am the last in line of the prophets of God and my Masjid is the last Masjid (referring the holy Masjid of the Prophet).” [Muslim, Kitab-ul-Hajj; Bab: Fadl-us-Salat bi Masjidi Mecca wal Medina]
The Prophet specified that only three special holy sites exist: first, Masjid al-Haram (in Makkah), second, Masjid al-Aqsa (in Jerusalem) and last, Masjid al-Nabawi (in Madinah).
In the above hadīth, the Prophet is saying that after this masjid, referring to Masjid an-Nabawi, no masjid exists that holds special blessings from Allah. Indeed, all masjids are blessed places in general, but no masjid carries any special significance over another except these three holy sites. Masjid an-Nabawi is the last of these types of masjids. Also the hadith in sahih Muslim has the Arabic work akhir (last) thus Prophet Muhammad (saw) is the last Prophet).
A large number of such traditions of Muhammad have been reported by the companions and a great many compilers have recorded them from authoritative sources. A study of these traditions shows that Muhammad, on several occasions, and in various ways and in different words made it explicitly clear that he was the last prophet of God; that no prophet would follow him and that the line of prophets had ended in him. Furthermore, those would claim to be prophets and messengers of God after his time would be imposters and liars.
There can be no authentic, creditable and conclusive interpretation of the words of the Qur’an, Khatam-un- Nabiyyin, than that given by Muhammad (saw) for the credentials of Muhammad (saw) need no proof and the authority of his words is unassailable. His words are authentic and a proof in itself. When Muhammad is explaining the Holy Quran, his explanation is the most authentic and a proof positive.
The Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam said in an authentic hadeeth: “I am the last prophet, There is no prophet after me and my ummah is the last ummah.” [malik, bukhari and musnad ahmad]
The Prophet of (Peace be upon him) said: I am the Slave of Allah and I was a Last Prophet (saw) in (sight) of Allah when Adam’s Khameer was being created [Imam al Baihaqi in Shuayb ul Imaan Volume 2 Page No. 134, Imam Hakim in his Mustadrak declared Its chain to be Sahih]
Hence Prophethood was finalised at Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) even when Adam (a.s) was not yet created!
On the day of ressuruction people will run to all Prophets asking for help and intercession, the hadith states [It’s long one, so part of it is stated below]:
They will come to me and say, ‘O Muhammad ! You are Allah’s Apostle and “THE LAST OF THE PROPHETS” and Allah forgave your early and late sins. (Please) intercede for us with your Lord. Don’t you see in what state we are? [Sahih Bukhari, Volume 6, Book 60, Number 236]
Thus Prophet Muhammad (saw) is the last appointed prophet with the last divine book – the Quran.
Regarding the hadith; ”I am the last prophet and there will be no mosque after my mosque of the prophets.” (Sahih Muslim. Hadith 2471)
The above narration means that Madinah masjid is the last sacred masjid and the last masjid amongst the prophets.
Hadrat Jabir bin Abdullah (ra) narrates that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: I am the leader of all Prophets and there is no boast, I am the Last of all Prophets and there is no boast [Sunnan al Darimi, Hadith # 50]
Hadrat Abdullah bin Umar (ra) narrates that once the Prophet (Peace be upon him) came to us in a way as If he is leaving us, then he said thrice: I am Muhammad the Ummi Prophet (Salallaho alaihi wasalam) and there is no Prophet after me [Musnad Ahmed bin Hanbal, Volume No. 2, Page No. 172, Sheikh Ahmed Shakir in Takhrij of it: The chain of this Hadith is “Hassan”]
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: There is no Prophet after me, and there is no Ummah after you, so you should worship your Lord and say your 5 daily prayers, and fast in your month (Ramadan), obey your leaders and thus enter the Blessed garden of your Lord [Imam Tabarani in Muj’am al Kabir, Volume No. 8, Hadith # 7217]
Hadrat Abu Dhar (ra) narrates that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) told him: The first Prophet is Adam and the last one is Muhammad (salallaho alaihi wasalam) [Kanz ul amaal, Hadith # 32269]
Ibn Abbas (ra) narrates that the Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: I am Ahmed, Muhammad, Hashir, Maqfi (One who is sent in the last) and I am “KHATIM” [Imam Tabarani in Muj’am as Saghir, Hadith # 152]
Qatada narrates that when the Prophet (Peace be upon him) recited the Ayah { And when We exacted a covenant from the prophets, and from thee (O Muhammad) and from Noah… 33:7} he said: The goodness was started through me and I am the last amongst all Prophets to be sent [Muassanaf Ibn Abi Shaybah, Hadith # 31753]
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: “Abu Bakr (ra) is the best amongst all people after me BUT HE IS NOT A PROPHET” [Al Kamil by Ibn Adi, Volume No. 6, Page No. 484]
This hadith is shown as a proof that had there been any Prophet after Prophet (Peace be upon him) then Sahaba deserved the best of it, but even Sayyidna Abu Bakr (ra) was not a Prophet as is clearly and explicity mentioned in this hadith.
Sahīh Muslim, Chapter 30, Chapter 31, Book 30, Number 5813:
Abu Mūsā Ash’ari reported that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) mentioned many names of his and said: I am Muhammad, Ahmad. Muqaffi (the last in succession), Hashir, the Prophet of repentance, and the Prophet of Mercy. [Sahih Muslim]
In the Mustadrak of al-Hākim, Volume 2, Hadīth number 4186:
From Nafi` ibn Jubair ibn Mut`am from his father, said, “I heard the Messanger of Allāh may Allāh bless him and give him peace say, ‘I am Muhammad (The praised one), Ahmad (The praiseworthy), Al-Muqaffā (The last in succession), Al-hāshir (the gatherer), Al-Khātim (The Last), and Al-‘Aqib (The last). [Hakim]
@ ghulam
regarding your misinterpretation of the verse that states [4:70] “And whoso obeys Allah and this Messenger of His shall be among those on whom Allah has bestowed His blessings, namely, the Prophets, the Truthful, the Martyrs, and the Righteous. And excellent companions are these.”
All classical Islamic Scholars agreed that the blessings in the verse above is about the hereafter.
also th verse is plural that those who obey Allah will be with the prophets. obviously no person in this Ummah was a companion of prophets! it obviously refers to the reward in jannah.
now ghulam your other strange argument that somehow every prophet will have a messenger after him!! that would mean continuous prophets till day of judgment which even goes against ur own sect.
the hadith u mentioned about abu bakr; The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: “Abu Bakr (ra) is the best amongst all people after me BUT HE IS NOT A PROPHET.” [Al Kamil by Ibn Adi, Volume No. 6, Page No. 484]
This hadith is shown as a proof that had there been any Prophet after Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) then Sahaba deserved the best of it, but even Sayyidna Abu Bakr (ra) was not a Prophet as is clearly and explicitly mentioned in this hadith just like Umar (ra) in another hadith.
The hadith compiler was a Sunni Muslim!

@ ghulam
u said that Muhammad (saw) is the last law bearing Prophet.
but then you contradict Mirza Sahib, who alleged that all verses regarding judicial and executive laws are abrogated and cancelled! thats why Mirza Sahib and his successors promoted secularism in Muslim Nations.
Also Mirza Sahib claimed that there is no such thing as Jihad any more! again he claimed to modify the laws thus contradciting ur own claims of katam as meaning last law bearing.
Even though the word khatam has no mention about laws.
even the so called ahmadis have translated khatam as last in other works. mirza Sahib claimed that Isa (as) was the khatam of prophets of bani israil. thus he also agreed that khatam means last and not last law bearing! because mirza Sahib alleged that Isa (as) was not a law bearing Nabi!
And say, “Truth has come, and falsehood has departed. Indeed is falsehood, [by nature], ever bound to depart.” [Quran 17;81]
par, that is all copy paste of Maudoodi arguments without giving any reference from where you have copied. It is all useless material. Every one knows that the Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. is the last prophet, as a law bearing last prophet and as a last direct prophet.
Ahmadis believe, more than the maulvis, that hazrat Muhammad s.a.w.s. is Khaatam an nabiyyeen. per, you are spreading false news that Ahmadis do not believe that Muhammad s.a.w.s. is Khaatam an Nabiyyeen. But every one knows that is complete lie. When common people come back to you telling you that Ahmadis believe in Khatam e Nabuwwat, you tell them another lie that Ahmadis believe in khatam e Nabuwwat but they do not recite the Kalimah. When people find out that Ahmadis recite the Kalimah and they come back to you, you tell them another lie that their Kalimah is not the same……
So it a long string of your lies.
The meaning of Khaatam had been explained by many scholar of very old times that no new law bearing prophet will appear.
Any prophet who will appear in the world will have to be a follower of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. He will be another messenger carrying the same message. That will be a new type of prophethood, granted by the blessings of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. No other prophet had that grace to grant prophethood to any of his followers. Because no other prophet is Khaatam.
It is special prophethood (PH) which is granted by Allah only to the members of Muslim Ummah on the recommendation of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s.
You par have slipped up on many points.
1. You are all waiting for a dead man ( your Isa )to come back and lead you.
2. You are denying the continuity of simple Wahi. In the old nations (Ummats) Allah even spoke to the ladies (mother of Moses a.s. and Jesus a.s.) and guided them, gave them good news. This ummah of the prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. according to you is so bad, that they are never going to hear any word from Allah.
It is all described in the Quran that angels visit the pious (Muttaquee) Muslims and give them good news. But you deny all that. You believe that Allah has become quiet, deaf and dumb. That is not good of you. Just see how many problems you have got!
There is no use wasting every ones time by copy pasting from others books and bother every one with extra long useless posts. Nobody is impressed by that. We have known Maudoodi sahib had no knowledge of religion or politics. So please do not bother us with any Maudoodi teachings.
parve, Where did Hazrat sahib a.s. say that all verses regarding judicial and executive laws are abrogated and cancelled!
It is your Mullas who believe in the abrogation of verses of the Quran. Ahmadis do not believe that any verse is abrogated.
Ahmadis believe in Jihaad. They are doing Jihaad every day every where in the world. But it is not your type of Jihaad of killing innocent people. The real Jihaad is to improve upon selfish bad desires and to preach the message of truth to the world. Ahmadis are doing that.
Parve, you have a wrong notion of Jihaad. Please get rid of that from your mind. Now even Saudi Arabia, Makkah and Madinah is cursing your type of Jihaad.

Scholars on the Meaning of “Khatam al-Nabiyyin”
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم الحمد لله وحده و الصلاة و السلام على من لا نبي بعده و على آله و أصحابه أجمعين
Qatada (d. circa 100 A.H.):
عن قتادة ، في قوله تعالى : ( وخاتم النبيين) قال : آخر النبيين
It is narrated from Qatadah that he said about the word of Allah, “Wa Khātam al-Nabiyyin”: “[It means] Last of the Prophets.” (Tafsir Abdul Razzaq al-San’ani, Narration 2270)
Hassan al-Basri (d. 110 A.H.):
عن الحسن في قوله { وخاتم النبيين } قال : ختم الله النبيين بمحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم ، وكان آخر من بعث
It is narrated from Hassan [al-Basri] said about the word of Allah, “Wa Khātam al-Nabiyyin”: “Allah completed the series of the Prophets through Muhammad, may Allah bless him, and he is last [of them] in being raised.” (Durr al-Manthur cf. ‘Abd bin Hameed)
Abu Hanifa (d. 150 A.H.):
Imam Mofiq bin Ahmad al-Makki (d. 568 A.H.) narrates:
A man in the time of Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on him, claimed to be a prophet and said, ‘Allow me to present proofs of my Prophethood.’ Abu Hanifa, may Allah have mercy on him, ruled: ‘Anyone who demands a proof of Prophethood from him, will also turn a disbeliever, for the Messenger of Allah has said: ‘there is no prophet after me.’’ (Manaqib al-Imam al-‘Azam Abi Hanifa vol.1 p.161, Da’ira al-Ma’arif al-Nizamia, Hyderabad Deccan 1321 A.H.)
This shows that to the greatest of mujtahid Imams any consideration of what a claimant of Prophethood may say was tantamount to disbelief. Simple!
Ibn Jarir al-Tabari (d. 310 A.H.):
Commenting on the words “Khātam al-Nabiyyin” he says:
الذي ختم النبوة فطبع عليها، فلا تفتح لأحد بعده إلى قيام الساعة
“He brought the Prophethood to end and sealed it. Now this door will not be opened for anyone till the establishment of Doomsday.” (Tafsir Ibn Jarir al-Tabari)
Allama Ibn Hazm Andulasi (384 A.H.-456 A.H.)
“It is certain that the chain of Divine revelations has come to an end after the death of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). The proof of this lies in the fact that none but a prophet can be the recipient of Divine revelations and God has affirmed that Muhammad has no sons among you men and he is the Messenger of God and that He has sealed the office of Prophethood.” (Al-Mohallah, Vol. 1, p.26)
Mohy-us-Sunnah Baghawi (died 510 A.H.)
Baghawi writes in his commentary Ma`lam-al-Tanzil: “God brought the line of Prophets to an end with him. Hence he is the final Prophet…….Ibn `Abbas affirms that God (in Quran 33:40) has given His verdict that no Prophet will come after the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).” (Ma`lam-al-Tanzil Vol. 3, p. 158)
Al-Zamakhshari (d. 538 A.H.):
فإن قلت : كيف كان آخر الأنبياء وعيسى ينزل في آخر الزمان؟ قلت : معنى كونه آخر الأنبياء أنه لا ينبأ أحد بعده ، وعيسى ممن نبىء قبله ، وحين ينزل ينزل عاملاً على شريعة محمد صلى الله عايه وسلم ، مصلياً إلى قبلته ، كأنه بعض أمته
“If you ask; how can the Holy Prophet be the last of the Prophets when there is the belief that ‘Eisa will come down near the End of the Times before Resurrection? I shall say: The Holy Prophet is the last of the Prophets in the sense that no other person will be raised as a Prophet after him. As for the ‘Eisa (may Allah bless him), he is one of those who had been made the Prophets before the advent of the Holy Prophet. And when he comes again, he will come as a follower of the Shariah of Muhammad, may Allah bless him, and will offer prayers facing his qiblah like any other person of his Ummah.”
(Tafsir al-Kashshaf)
The same has been stated by;
Abu al-Barakat al-Nasafi (d. 710 A.H.) in Tafsir Madarik al-Tanzil
Nizamuddin al-Qumi (d. 728 A.H.) in Tafsir Gharaib al-Qur’an
Abu al-Hassan al-Khazin (d. 741 A.H.) in Tafsir Lubab al-Tanzil
Abu Sa’ud al-‘Imadi (d. 982 A.H.) in Tafsir Irshad al-‘Aql al-Salim Ila Mazaya al-Qur’an al-Karim
Ibn Ujayba (d. 1224 A.H.) in Tafsir Bahr al-Madid
Still if someone has any misgiving about the return of ‘Eisa عليه السلام and its relation to Finality of Prophethood then it is truly unfortunate.
Qazi ‘Iyad (died 544 A.H.)
Iyad writes: ” He who lays a claim to Prophethood, affirms that a man can attain the office of Prophethood or can acquire the dignity of a prophet through purification of soul, as is alleged by some philosophers and mystics; similarly a person who does not claim to be a prophet, but declares that he is the recipient of Divine revelation, all such persons are apostates and deniers of the Prophethood of Muhammad(PBUH), for Muhammad (PBUH) has conveyed the message of God to us that he is the final Prophet and no Prophet will come after him. He had also conveyed to us the Divine message that he has finally sealed the office of Prophethood and that he has been sent as a Prophet and a Messenger to the whole of mankind. It is the consensus of the entire Ummah that these words of the Holy Prophet are clear enough and eloquently speak of the fact that they can admit of no other interpretation or amendment in their meaning. Hence there is no doubt that all these sects are outside the pale of Islam not only from the viewpoint of the consensus of the Ummah but also on the ground of these words having been transmitted with utmost authenticity.” (Shifa, Vol. 2, pp. 270- 271)
Fakhruddin al-Razi (d. 606 A.H.):
Discussing Qur’an 33:40 and the Prophet’s compassion for his Ummah, he writes;
“In this context, the reason for saying Khātaman-nabiyyin is that, a prophet after whom another prophet is to be raised, leaves the work of admonition and explanation of injunctions somewhat incomplete, and the one coming after him can complete it. But the Prophet after whom no other Prophet is to be raised, is far more compassionate to his Ummah and gives them explicit guidance, for he is like the father who knows that after him his son has no guardian and patron to take care of him.” (Tafsir al-Kabir)
Did Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him, leave anything incomplete? Was the deen not perfected before he died?
Lexicographical definition of khatam
Imam Ibn Munzur [Born: 630 AH] and Allama Ismail bin Hammad al Juhri [Born: 332 AH], the reason why we have mentioned the birth dates of both these Imams is to make it clear that these Lexicographers wrote their works long before the Fitnah of some deviant sects had even emerged. So It is clear that Muslim Ummah was and is still unanimous on the viewpoint that Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is the last Prophet and any claim of Prophethood after him is falsehood and trait of Dajjal/Kadhaab.
Imam Ibn Munzur (rah) writes in Lisan ul Arab:
Translation: Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is the Last of Prophets (Salat and Salam on all), both the words Khatim and Khatam are names of Prophet, as is revealed in Al Aziz (i.e. Quran):” Muhammad is not the father of any man among you, but he is the messenger of Allah and the Seal of the Prophets; and Allah is ever Aware of all things” (33:40) THIS REFERS TO LAST/END (أَي آخرهم) [Lisan ul Arab, Under the letter “خ”]
Imam Ibn Munzur also said:
ومن أَسمائه العاقب أَيضاً ومعناه آخر الأَنبياء
Translation: And amongst the names (of Prophet) is Al-Aqib which means “The Akhir al Anbiya” I.e. The Last to come of Prophets [Lisan ul Arab]
Allama Ismail bin Hammad al Juhri (rah) writes:
Arabic-English-Translation: (ختم الله له بخير) May Allah bring the End on Khair, ( وختمت القرآن: بلغت آخره) I finished the Quran: (read) till it’s “End”( واختتمت الشئ: نقيض افتتحته )The Last of something is opposite to beginning (of it) (والخاتم والخاتم، بكسر التاء وفتحها. والخيتام والخاتام كله بمعنى، والجمع الخواتيم. وتختمت، إذا لبسته. وخاتمة الشئ: آخره) Khatam, Khatim, Khitam, the Plural Khawatim, the meaning of all these are same and the end of something is Khatim ash Shay. (ومحمد صلى الله عليه وسلم خاتم الانبياء عليهم الصلاة والسلام) And Muhammad (Peace be upon him) is the Last of Prophets (Salat and Salam on all) [As-Sahah Taj ul Lughat, Volume No. 6, Page No. 186]
Al-‘Izz bin Abdus Salam (d. 660 A.H.):
He comments:
{وَخَاتَمَ النبيين} آخرهم
“{Wa Khatam al-Nabiyyin} (i.e.) Last of them” (Tafsir al-Qur’an li-‘Izz bin Abdus Salam)
Al-Qurtubi (d. 671 A.H.):
The great Spanish Muslim mufassir of the Qur’an quotes another great scholar Ibn Atiya as saying;
“To the scholars of the ummah, of (both) the later and earlier times , these words are to be taken in absolute general terms whereby the text necessitates the meaning that there is no prophet after him –may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.” (Tafsir Jami’ li-Ahkam al-Quran)
What a clear testimony that to the scholars of the Ummah these words must be taken in absolute general terms. No exception to “non-shari’i”, “ummati” or “buruzi” prophet(s)!
Allama Baidawi(died A.H. 685)
In his commentary, Anwar-ul-Tanzil, writes: “In other words he, Muhammad (PBUH), is the last of all Prophets. He is the one in whom the line of Prophets Ends or the one whose advent has sealed the office of Prophethood. The appearance of Hadrat ‘Isa (peace be upon him) after Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is not a contradiction of the finality of Muhammad’s Prophethood, because Hadrat Isa will appear as a follower of the Shariah of Muhammad.” (Anwar-ul-Tanzil Vol. 4, p. 164)
‘Allama Hafiz-ud-Din Al-Nasafi (died A.H.710)
In his commentary, Madark-ut- Tanzil, writes: “And he Muhammad (PBUH) is the one who has brought the line of prophets to an end…in other words he is the last of all prophets. God shall not appoint another prophet after him. In respect of Hadrat `Isa(peace be upon him) it may be stated that he is among those who were appointed Prophets before the time of Muhammad(PBUH). And when Hadrat `Isa appears again, he will be a follower of the Shar’iah of Muhammad, and one among faithful.” (Madark-ut- Tanzil p. 471)
Abu Hayyan al-Andalusi (d. 745 A.H.):
ألفاظ تقتضي نصاً أنه لا نبي بعده صلى الله عليه وسلم ، والمعنى أن لا يتنبأ أحد بعده ، ولا يرد نزول عيسى آخر الزمان ، لأنه ممن نبىء قبله ، وينزل عاملاً على شريعة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم مصلياً إلى قبلته كأنه بعض أمته
“[These] words serve as evidence that there will be no Prophet after him, may Allah bless him. And the meaning is, no one will be made a prophet after him. And this does not contradict the descent of ‘Eisa near the End of Times, for he is one of those who were made prophets before him and he will descend following the shar’iah of Muhammad, may Allah bless him, praying facing his qibah like one from his own people Ummah.” (Tafsir Bahr al-Muhit)
Ibn Kathir (d. 774 A.H.):
فهذه الآية نص في أنه لا نبي بعده، وإذا كان لا نبي بعده فلا رسول [بعده] بطريق الأولى والأحرى؛ لأن مقام الرسالة أخص من مقام النبوة، فإن كل رسول نبي، ولا ينعكس
“This verse categorically states that there will be no Prophet [Nabi] after him. If there will be no Prophet [Nabi] after him then there will surely be no Messenger [Rasul] after him either, because the status of a Messenger is higher than that of a Prophet, for every Messenger is a Prophet but the reverse is not the case.” (Tafsir Ibn Kathir Vol. 3, pp. 493-494)
Allama Jalal-Ud-Din Suyuti (died A.H. 911)
Suyuti writes in his commentary entitled Jalalain, “God is aware of the fact that no prophet will succeed Muhammad (PBUH) and when Isa (PBUH) will reappear in the world he will act according to the Shariah of Muhammad (PBUH).” (p. 768)
Al-Baqa’i (d. 885 A.H.):
{And the seal of the prophets} means as his message is general and his Prophethood carries a miracle of the Quran, so there is no more need to assign prophets or messengers, so no prophet is to born after him, and it also entails that none of his children will reach the age of manhood. Because if there were to be a prophet raised after him it would have been from his offspring as an honour to him because he is the highest of the prophets in status and greatest of them in nobility. And there was no honour for any one from amongst the prophets but similar or more of it was due to him. If any of his sons were to reach the age of manhood he would have been a prophet after him. And as an honour to him Allah had decreed that there is no prophet after him. Ahmad and Ibn Majah have narrated from Anas and Ibn ‘Abbas –may Allah be pleased with them both- that the Prophet –may Allah bless him- said about his son Ibrahim: “Had he lived he would have been a Siddiq and a Prophet.” And Bukhari has the same narrated from al-Bara’ bin ‘Aazib –may Allah bless him. And with Bukhari is a narration from Ibn Abi Aufa –may Allah bless him: “If it were decreed for a Prophet to be after Muhammad, may Allah bless him, his son would have lived but there is no Prophet after him.” And the conclusion is that there is no way for a prophet with a new law to come after him and similarly there is no chance of revival of assignment of Prophethood after him. (Nazam al-Dorar wa Tanasub al-Ayat wal Suar)
There are many points of consideration here.
1. Finality of Prophethood means no prophet is to be born after him.
2. As some of earlier prophet’s had their sons raised to the status of Prophethood it demanded that a son of the Prophet reaching the age of manhood should not be denied the same so Allah decreed for his sons not to reach that age. This way he was not denied an honour and was blessed with another honour of being of the last of all of the Prophets.
3. Muhammad (saw) is the last appointed prophet; which does not contradict the return of ‘Eisa, may Allah bless him, for he was born and assigned with Prophethood before the Holy Prophet –may Allah bless him.
Isma’il al-Haqqi (d. 1127 A.H.):
“’Asim has read the word as “Khātam”, which is the sealing instrument with which things are sealed. It implied that Holy Prophet came at the end and in him the line of the Prophets was closed and sealed … Some people have read it as “Khātim”, which means the one who put a seal … Thus, “Khātim” also is a synonym of “Khātam” … Henceforth the scholars of his Ummah will only inherit him in walayat (sainthood), the inheritance of the Prophethood having been brought to a close in him. And the second coming of Prophet ‘Eisa does not affect the Holy Prophet’s being the last Prophet, for Khātam al-nabiyyin means that no other prophet will be raised after him as he said to the Ali, may Allah be pleased with him, “You are unto me like Harun was to Musa except that there is no prophet after me.” And ‘Eisa had been raised a Prophet before him. When he comes the second time, he will come as a follower of the shari’ah of Muhammad, may Allah bless him. He will offer the prayer facing his qiblah, like any other man belonging to his Ummah. He will neither receive revelation nor issue new commands, but he will be a caliph of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him … And the followers of the Sunnah believe that there is no prophet after our Holy Prophet, for Allah has said: “But he is Messenger of Allah and the last of the Prophets,” and the Holy Prophet has declared: “There is no prophet after me.” Now whoever says that there is a prophet after our Holy Prophet, will be declared a kafir, for he has denied a fundamental article of the faith; likewise, the one who doubts it, will also be declared a kafir, for the Truth has been made distinct from falsehood. And the claim of the one who claims to be a Prophet after the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him, can be nothing but imposture.” (Tafsir Ruh al-Bayan)
Al-Shaukani (d. 1250 A.H.):
وقرأ الجمهور : « خاتم » بكسر التاء . وقرأ عاصم بفتحها . ومعنى القراءة الأولى : أنه ختمهم ، أي جاء آخرهم . ومعنى القراءة الثانية : أنه صار كالخاتم لهم الذي يتختمون به ويتزينون بكونه منهم
“The majority of the scholars have read the word as “Khātim” and ‘Asim as “Khātam”. According to the first reading, it would mean: “The Holy Prophet closed the lines of the Prophets i.e. he came at the end of them.” And according to the second reading it means, “He was like a seal for them, with which their line was sealed, and with whose inclusion their group was embellished.”(Fath al-Qadir)
Conclusion:
1. Top scholars from various times in Islamic history agree that “khatam al-Nabiyyin” simply means last of the prophets with whom the lines of prophets came to end. And even a possible consideration of what any claimant of Prophethood after the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him, may say is tantamount to disbelief.
2. “Khatam” or “khatim” make no difference and the significance remains the same i.e. Final Seal of Prophets.
3. Return of ‘Isa Ibn Maryam عليه السلام is not against the Finality of Prophethood for what it signifies is that no new prophet will be born and no one will be assigned Prophethood after the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him. And we know ‘Eisa عليه السلام was born and assigned with Prophethood before the Holy Prophet, may Allah bless him. Believing in the 2nd coming doesn’t contradict khatam-e-nabuwat, Isa Ibn Maryam was given Nabuwuat before the doors of nabuwat were closed.
4. And al-Baqa’i stating the unanimous belief of the Ummah first denied the possibility of more specifically a law-bearing prophet and then followed it by categorical mention that assignment of Prophethood will not be revived after the Holy Prophet صلى الله عليه و سلم. Thus he clarified the Muslim belief that there will not be any kind of Prophethood now.
5. The scholars of the Ummah have always taken the words “khatam al-nabiyyin” to signify the end of Prophethood in absolute general terms leaving room for no exception at all.
Opinion of the Mujaddidīn
2nd century Ahmad Ibn Hanbal
“If I were to take someone as a friend, I would take Abū Bakr as a friend, but Allah has taken yours truly as His friend,” meaning himself, and there is no prophet after me. [The Book of ‘Aqīdah of Imām Ahmad ibn Hanbal]
3rd Century Abul Hasan al-‘Asharī
Abul Hasan al-‘Asharī is best known for his scholarship in the field of theological defense and his refutation of the Mu’tazilī beliefs, a deviant theology that formed in the 2nd century Hijri. In The Ash’ari ‘Aqeedah, The Creed of the Muslims: A Translated Summary by the al-Ghazzali Centre for Islamic Sciences and Human Development, in section 1.4b, it reads:
1.4b. The Final Messenger
He sealed his messengership, warning, and prophethood with his Prophet Muhammad, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, whom He made the last of the Messengers – “A bringer of good news and a warner, calling to Allah by His permission and an illuminating lamp.”
5th Century Al Ghazālī
The following is from Ihya’ ‘Ulūm al-Dīn (The Revival of the Religious Sciences), a very famous book written by Imām al-Ghazali. The quote is from Book II, under the The Third Pillar Concerning the Knowledge of the Works of God, Involving Ten Principles:
The tenth principle is that God sent Muhammad as the last of the prophets and as an abrogater of all previous laws before him, the laws of the Jews and the Christians and the Sabians. God upheld him with unmistakable miracles and wonderful signs, such as the splitting of the moon, the praise of the pebbles, causing the mute animal to speak, as well as water flowing from between his fingers, and the unmistakable sign of the glorious Qur’an with which he challenged the Arabs.
6th Century ‘Abdul Qadir al-Jilānī
The following two quotes are from The Secret of Secrets, in the Introduction. All Praise is due to Allah; He is a munificent, gracious, and compassionate Lord, Who has gathered all knowledge in His Essence and Who is the creator of all knowledge for eternity. The cause, the reason of all existence, is from His existence. All praise is due to Allah, and He has sent the Glorious Qur’an that bears in its essence the reason for its revelation, which is to remind men of Allah; He sent it to the guide who leads men on the path of truth with the mightiest of all religions. All peace and blessings be upon His beloved prophet Muhammad, who was not taught by man, but by Him. He is His last prophet, the last link in the chain of Prophethood who was brought to a world gone astray, the most honoured among His prophets, honoured by the most honoured of divine books. His progeny are guides for seekers; his companions were chosen among the good and benevolent. May abundant peace and blessings be upon their souls. This is under the sub-section titled “On the Beginning of Creation” in the Introduction. The Prophets kept coming, and the divine message continued until there appeared the great spirit of Muhammad (saw), the last of the messengers who saved people from distraction. Allah Most High sent him to open the eyes of the hearts of the heedless. His purpose was to awaken them from the sleep of unconsciousness and to unite them with the Eternal beauty, with the Cause, with the Essence of Allah. Allah says in His Holy Qur’an:
Say: This is my way. I call to Allah with the certainty of insight – I and those who follow me… (Surah Yusuf, 108)
To indicate the path of our Master, the Prophet .صلى ا عليه و سلم
7th Century Ibn Taymiyya
In his Book of Emaan: According to the Classical Works of Shaikhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah, translated by Dr. Muhammad Naim Yasin, Ibn Taymiyyah wrote:
Faith in the Prophet Muhammad صلى ا عليه و سلم We must also believe that Muhammad Ibn Abdullah (saw) is the Prophet and Messenger of Allah, His servant and chosen one, that he صلى ا عليه و سلم never worshipped idols, nor associated anything with Allah for one single moment, nor committed a single sin or vice of any kind. We must also believe that he صلى ا عليه و سلم is the seal of the prophets. This is explicitly mentioned in the Qur’ān in the verse:
Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but (he is) the Messenger of Allah, and the seal of the prophets. It is also attested by the Hadith of the Prophet صلى ا عليه و سلم who said, “My similitude in comparison with the other prophets before me is that of a man who has built a house excellently and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people went around about it and wondered at its beauty and said, ‘Would that this brick would be put in its place!’ So I am that brick, and I am the last of the Prophets’.” The Prophet also said, “I am Muhammad and Ahmad; I am al-Mahi through whom Allah will eliminate kufr (disbelief); I am al-Haashir who will be the first to be resurrected, the people being resurrected thereafter, and I am also al-Aaqib (that is, there will be no prophet after me)”.
We firmly believe that there is no Prophethood following that of the Messenger of Allah عليه الصلة والسل م , that any person claiming to be a prophet is a perverted liar. The Prophet عليه الصلة والسلم said, “The hour will not be established till about thirty dajjaals (liars) appear, each claiming to be a prophet. I am the seal of the prophets; there is no prophet after me.”
9th Century Jalāl al-Din al-Suyūtī
The following is from the Tafsīr of Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūtī, Chapter 33, verse 40: Muhammad is not the father of any man among you: he is not Zayd’s biological father, and so it is not unlawful for him to marry his [former] wife Zaynab [after him]; but, he is the Messenger of God and the Seal of the Prophets, and so he will not have a son that is a [fully grown] man to be a prophet after him (a variant reading [for khātim al-nabīyyīna] has khātam al-nabīyyīn, as in the instrument [known as a] ‘seal’, in other words, their [Prophethood] has been sealed by him). And God has knowledge of all things, among these is the fact that there will be no prophet after him, and even when the Messiah Jesus descends [at the end of days], he will rule according to his [Muhammad’s] Law.
11th Century Ahmad Sirhindi
Throughout his works, Sirhindi frequently refers to Prophet Muhammad عليه الصلة
والسلم as the last prophet. In the preface of The Proof of Prophethood, Sirhindi wrote: Infinite thanks be to Allahu ta’ala, who has sent Prophets to guide people to the way of salvation and who has revealed four of His major Books to them; these Books contain no aberration or abnormality. The Book He has revealed to His Last Prophet, Muhammad (‘alaihi ‘s- salam), is Qur’ān al-karim, in which everything necessary for His human servants has been revealed, unbelievers have been warned of Hell’s torment, while believers who carry out the requirements of Islam have been given the good news of Paradise… He has sent him as the last prophet to communicate the fact that Allahu ta’ala is One to His servants, and to treat their sick hearts. Let it be known that this servant, that is, [al-Imām ar-Rabbani Mujaddid al-Alf ath-Thani] Ahmad ibn ‘Abd al-Ahad, who is greatly in need of Allahu ta’ala’s compassion and the first of them to invoke Him to protect him, his ancestry, masters, and disciples against the troubles of the Rising Day, has seen with regret that the people of our time have become increasingly slack in believing in the necessity of prophets’ coming, in the twenty-five prophets whose names are given in the Qur’ān al-karim, and in obeying the religion brought by the last prophet. Moreover, some powerful people with authoritative positions in India have been torturing pious Muslims who diligently follow Islam. There have appeared people who mock the blessed name of the last prophet and substitute the blessed names given to them by their parents with absurd names.
12th Century Shah Wali Ullah
In his book Al-Musawwa Sharh al-Muwatta’, a commentary on the famous book of Islamic law by Imām Mālik, under the section “The Ruling of the Khawārij, the Jahmiyya and their likes”, Shah Wali Allah al-Dehlawi writes:
Similarly, whoever claims concerning the two shaykhs [Abu Bakr and ‘Umar] for example that they are not [to be] the inhabitants of Paradise, even though it is mass narrated in the hadīth that they were given the good news [of entering Paradise]; or whoever states that the Prophet is the seal of Prophethood, but that this term means that no one after him can be named a “prophet”, and that as for that meaning of Prophethood which is [a human sent by Allah to the people, obedience to whom is required, protected from sins and remaining in error] that, this (meaning of) prophethood can still be found in the leaders of the Community after him; then this person is a heretic (zindīq).
The Prophet (Peace be upon him) said: “Abu Bakr (ra) is the best amongst all people after me BUT HE IS NOT A PROPHET” [Al Kamil by Ibn Adi, Volume No. 6, Page No. 484]
This hadith is shown as a proof that had there been any Prophet after Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) then Sahaba deserved the best of it, but even Sayyidna Abu Bakr (ra) was not a Prophet as is clearly and explicitly mentioned in this hadith just like Umar (RA) was not a prophet.
Ibn Jarir (the famous at-Tabari) writes:
“The meaning of khatam an-nabiyyin, ‘ta’ with ‘fat-ha’, is that he is the Last of the prophets.”
In the commentary of al-Baidawi it is written:
“Akhiru-hum al-ladhi khutima bi-him au khatamu bi-hi”: meaning: “The last (akhir) of them with whom they (the prophets) came to an end, or they came to an end with him.” [Tafsir Baidawi]
Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) writes:
“This verse [Quran 33:40] of Khatam an-nabiyyin is a clear proof that no prophet would come after him … and there have been continuous (mutawattir) reports on the subject, recorded by an entire group (jama`at) of the Companions of the Prophet.” [Tafsir Ibn Kathir]
In some reports he has used the first person as follows: I have (khatamtu) brought the prophets to an end.
In some, he refers to himself by the title al-`aqib (the one who follows at the end), adding that he bears this title because no prophet will come after him.
Prophet Muhammad (saw) said that the first 3 generations of the Muslim ummah are the best generations. and they agreed that Muhammad (saw) is the akhir nabi. the tabiun and many pious Islamic scholars such as Abu hanifa, Abdul Malik, Shafi, Ahmad ibn Hanbal, Bukhari, Tirmidhi, Tahawi, Sufyan Thawri, Mujahid, Hasan al basri, Sai’d ibn jubayr, bayhaqi, ibn jawzi, tabari, ibn qutayba, qurtubi, nawawi, ibn taymiya, ibn kathir, ibn qayyim, dhahabi, ibn hajr al asqalani, suyuti, Muhammad shawkani and shah waliullah all followed Ahle Sunnah belief, thus they were sunni Muslims who all agreed that Muhammad (saw) is the last Prophet and that Isa (as) was raised up alive and he will literally return. They all agreed that Muhammad (saw) is the last born prophet with the last kitaab, with the last shariah and his ummah is the last ummah.
Parvez, it sounded good, when Mullahs would keep on repeating, in Friday sermon, “there is no prophet after the Holy Prophet Muhammad and he is the last prophet,” over and over again to mesmerize the masses.
But, now that we have discussion blogs, the rhetoric has lost its charm, as the fallacy is exposed in one or two short paragraphs.
You and all the Sunni Muslims, do believe in a prophet Jesus son of Mary, who is yet to come. According to your own reckoning, he will come near the Day of Judgment and according to your own beliefs, he will be the last prophet, as after him there will be Qayammah and no further room, for another prophet.
So, please, stop being silly and look at your time line again and again, until you begin to understand. The prophet Muhammad, may peace be on him, if you have not forgotten was in 7th century and now we are in 21st century and you are waiting for a prophet. So, please stop fussing about last.
The issue is not, how many hadith you can line up and misunderstand all of them. The issue is pure and simple, if there is a prophet after the Holy Prophet Muhammad, he is not the last prophet. If you deny second coming of Jesus then you many insist on your claims. But, otherwise, you cannot have your cake and eat it too. Pure and simple!
You are right on one count though that there is no Shariah after Islam and in that sense, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, is the last prophet with a Shariah.
@zia
i dont which mollah has brainwashed u and deluded u.
The query you raised up was already answered my the pious Islamic scholars before your group was even invented!
All the mujaddids agreed that Muhammad (saw) is the last (akhir) Prophet.
Parvez, people like you are the very reason that the Muslims have been in a sorry state for the last few centuries.
How do Mullahs or fundamentalists think?
The hallmark of their thinking is that they always follow their made up “traditions,” in favor of simple reason and logic, without appreciating that Allah cannot teach irrational and silly things.
Just like, when all of Christian Church said that earth is the center of our solar system, their religious authority did not change our physical world, likewise, if all your chosen scholars say 2 + 2 = 5, it will not change the math and any school child can stand up and say that Parvez, you are wrong, based on simple logic.
If there is a prophet after Muhammad, may peace be on him, then he is not the last prophet. How many times do I have to repeat this simple logic?
There are plenty of Muslim scholars from the past, who understood this simple logic about timeline. It is only the recent Mullahs, who have duped the innocent Muslim masses, into this irrational understanding of time that 21st century is not after 7th century and some how before it.
I am sorry to tell you that this deception of the common man by the Mullahs cannot work any more.
Please, see the comment section of the following post, for scholars, who understood this simple logic that 2 + 2 = 4 and not 5.
Elephant in the room: A fallacy in Sunni Doctrine
The purpose of parvez extra ordinary long copy paste, posts is to put our short sensible posts in background. It should be checked. parvez may write something but not make others read Maudoodi books.
@zia u ignore and contradict the prophetic hadith.
The prophet (saw) explicitly stated that he is the last prophet and that his ummah is the last ummah and that no new prophet will come after him.
Muhammad (saw) said: “No Prophet will come after me and there will, therefore, be no other community of followers of any new prophet.” [Baihaqi, Kitab-ul Rouya; Tabarani]
…
Dear Parez you have again rehashed your collection of Hadiths, which you fail to understand. Unfortunately, you are unable to understand these Hadiths, because on this issue, you refuse to think logically and you do not allow your self the freedom to get out of catch 22, which is that if Jesus, son of Mary is to come now, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace be on him, will not be the last prophet.
Take a break for a few weeks and take some courses in logical thinking and rationality and may be you will begin to understand.
May Allah grant us all wisdom, patience, tolerance and love. Ameen.
@ zia
what are your proofs that mirza was a prophet from sahih hadith?
Forget about him being prophet. Do you bellieive that hazrat sahib was imam Mahdi and promised Messiah?
I don’t understand why Pervez booklets are being allowed to publish here?
Parvez!
just put 5 to 10 lines (maximum) comment so that discussion may remain interesting, concise, simpler and conclusive. I did not even give a cursory glance on your meaningless trash.
Now, finally Parvez may be realizing that if Jesus, may peace be on him, comes in this day and age, the Holy Prophet Muhammad, may peace be on him, will not be the last prophet.
It is not a question of theology or religion, but, simple common sense.
At any rate, he wants us to show him the truth of the Promised Messiah, may peace be on him, from the Quran and Hadith.
I am requesting the Ahmadi commentators to link the best materials and videos on this issue. Thanks
OK Parvez just tell us two things
will you believe in Jesus when he will come back? what if I reject him? How important and mandatory for Muslims to believe in an Israeli prophet who is gonna teach us Bible according to Qur’an.
Second how will you recognize him? What evidences will you look for? Do yo have his photograph, voice recording or DNA? OR will you just depend upon seeing him descending from heavens on shoulders of angels?
@ qureshi
the hadith states that the messiah hazrat Isa ibn maryam (as) will pray behind Imam Mahdi in Jerusalem [musnad Ahmad, ibn majah and tabari]
@ zia u couldnt prove anything abt Mirza Ghulam Ahmad Qadiani being the messiah.
also the hadith states that Muhammad (saw) is the akhir (last) prophet [sahih muslim] but the hadith also states that Isa (as) will return but he was a prophet before the prophethood was sealed
Parvez hold your horses, Over time, God willing, we will offer you more proofs here, then you bargained for.
But, tell me, why is God sending a prophet, old or new? Is there need of prophethood in our time?
Allah (swt) will send Isa Ibn Maryam (as) back to earth as promised by Prophet Muhammad (saw) to reform humanity and preach Islam.
The Prophet (saw) always stated that Isa ibn Maryam (as) will return thus he will be the same messiah thats why he is called son of maryam.
also the hadith literature states that he will pray in Jerusalem and he will perform hajj and umra. these signs have not happened yet.
Strange stories. In the whole Muslim Ummah no one can be found ‘to reform humanity and preach Islam’. We have to borrow a Jew (or Christian?). …
@ rafiq ur comment is more strange!
u could not answer my question i raised up? did those signs happen?
parvez is cooking. But the most authentic Hadith about the coming of Isa ibne Maryam is found in books of Bukahri and Muslim, as follows:
The prophet Muhammad s.a.w.s. said, “By the one in whose hands is my life (Remark:That is an oath by Allah), Isa ibne Maryam will surely arrive amongst YOU as a just judge. He will break the cross and kill the swine,,,”
In this Hadith, three clear signs are given:
1. Isa ibne Maryam will arrive amongst the Sahabah. that is to be understood from the word “YOU”.
2. He will break the cross.
3. He will kill the swine.
In the presence of these three clear signs, why is parvez running (going) after the less authentic signs. What is the mission of parvez? The above signs are supported by the oath of the prophet s.a.w.s. and the hadith is mentioned in both important books.
So parvez should go after the breaking of cross and killing of swines, than going to Jerusalem and Makkah. parvez should (and must) explain the meaning of the breaking of cross and killing of swine. He will have to cook more than what has been done up to now.
parvez will have to drift away from the word “YOU” that were sahabah (the companions of the prophet). His Hazrat Isa was to appear amongst them.
When parvez will drift away from actual words and try to take other meanings, I will come back to teach him the real meaning of the above mentioned most important Hadith, Insha Allah. Wassalam.
Dear Parvez!
In reply to my two questions you just quoted one hadith, leaving a vast gray area and unfathomable ambiguity.I assume this quotation is an attempt to answer my second Q “recognition of true Jesus”.
Well Parvez just take a deep breadth and ponder on your answer. If someone claims to be same Jesus with a comrade claiming to be Imam Mahdi in Jerusalem and do what Hadith quotes……praying in Jerusalem later behind former……….fulfilling the Hadith word by word………….so ????? Will you believe in them or him?
Did you see Parvez ? The recognition pattern you have formulated yet fails………even the Hadith quoted by you is fulfilled word by word.
no the hadith abt Isa (as) performing hajj has not happened neither him being buried next to the prophet (saw)
It would be interesting to see whether the Wahabis will permit Issa to be buried next to the prophet (saw), when they are not even happy about the prophet’s (saw) grave …
@ rafiq
that does not answer my question.
Parvez!
“no the hadith abt Isa (as) performing hajj has not happened neither him being buried next to the prophet (saw)”
OK! So unless or until he is buried (or dead)you wont be believing any claimant???
once you may have buried your real man then you would make a claim on behalf that dead man…….Hay! this was our Isa Oh! I buried him. Just imagine the so miserable and nonsense scenario!
And why ‘Abu baker RA and Omer RA did not anticipate the last burial place of savoir of Ummah and (God forbid) made an encroachment?
Pervez Sahib, I will give you comprehensive refutation later. It’s actually easy to refute, but I must match it with references. So, please be here and be aware. Jazāka-Llāh 🙂
qureshi
so you reject the prophet (saw) hadith about the messiah Isa (as) ibn maryam performing hajj?
so you think the promise is broken?
@ rafiq
why misuse Allah’s namand attribute?
what does wahhabi mean?
Al-Wahhab is one of Allah’s attribute.
Parvez do not try to use name of Allah for Wahhabis. Every one knows the name Wahhabi was created for a sect because of scholar Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab sahib.
The Wahhabis never became known due to Allah,s attribute Wahhab. If it was such beloved name then why did the Wahhabis in India requested the British government that an order should be issued that people do not call Wahhabis.
They preferred the name “Ahle Hadith”. So the government issued the order as per the wishes of Wahhabi sect.
The Wahhabis’,, even though good in some respects were hated very much by all other Muslims. They were mostly headquartered in Put ah, near Calcutta.
Parvez is cheating by the name Wahhab of Allah. Why only Wahhab? Allah has so many other names too. Why they went after Wahhab?
ghulam what are you on about? all i said that people should not invent names that have no basis in the Islamic Shariah. also muhammad ibn abdul Wahhab was a hanbali scholar so he did not find any new sect unlike your sect.
so stop mis-using an attribute of Allah
parvez, Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab did not start a new sect. And the Ahmadis also did not start any new sect.
But the followers of abdul wahhab happily chose the title “Wahhabi” for themselves in Arabia. Every one knows that the wahhabis helped the King Abdul Aziz to establish the Saudi kingdom. It is written in the books of history the Wahhabi forces helped the Saudis to take over Taif (a city 86 Km distance from Makkah.)
The headquarter (HQ) of the Wahhabis in India was in Patnah. They were quite active. But all other Muslims hated them due to their beliefs. They requested the British government to issue an order so that people do not call them Wahhabi.
Pervez
I accept all Hadiths but if like you, I accept them only with literal meaning then everything will be tarnished, every thing including faith, beliefs, Allah’s given wisdom etc……nothing will be left.
Because as I proved, if we take literal meaning of every word in Qur’an and Hadith both faith and belief will come to an end. You did not answer to my any questions..why ?…. and you are waiting for a Mahdi or Jesus who until buried by excavating the burial of Muhammad SAW, cannot be the true Jesus/Imam Mahdi. that was the way of Jews who rejected Jesus as their promised messiah and insisted on literal descending of Elijah from heavens and rejected Jesus interpretation for Johannah.
parvez should consider the writing of Ahmed Qureshi seriously and take the meaning of the Hadith literally. The hadith says: “He will be buried in my grave.” Now parvez take the literal meaning of that hadith and dig up the grave of the prophet s.a.w.s. and he will then bury some one there without knowing that he is his Messiah. Because, parvez will wait to accept him as his Messiah till he is gone and buried in the grave of the prophet s.a.w.s.
What a bundle of bad ideas and false beliefs!
well according to your misinterpretations anyone can be a prophet and they will find ways to use the verses to claim such beliefs!
parvez, I never said anything as you are accusing. I had simply presented your own words to you.
It is not easy for any one to make a claim. You are wrong again. Nobody can make any claim saying that Allah spoke to him while Allah did not speak anything to him.
You need to read bibleOT, Deutr: 18:18 and end verses of Surah Alhaqah of Quran.
well the founder of bahaism has claims like mirza sahib and you followers of mirza accuse the founder of bahaism as commiting shirk but neglect …
parvez, welcome and complete your sentence about Bahaism etc. This is a free forum. As long as you are peaceful, sensible person, you are welcome to present your (own) actual good ideas.
Lately, Ahmadiyya Headquarters in Rabwah is giving a much lower number of Ahmadis in Pakistan than in the past. Official number of Ahmadis in Pakistan is now claimed to be between 400,000 and 500,000.
