CHILLICOTHE — Four more local churches have been broken into since Thursday, bringing the total to nearly a dozen across Ross County since Nov. 15.
The new break-ins mostly occurred outside of the city limits, but local law enforcement is warning churches to stay alert for the burglars.
The Ross County Sheriff’s Office responded at 3:20 p.m. Thursday at the Chillicothe Bible Church on Egypt Pike in reference to a burglary. A second incident at the Maple Grove Christian Union Church on Maple Grove Road led deputies to the scene at 4:52 p.m. in which an undisclosed sum of money was reported stolen.
Deputies responded to the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church on U.S. 50 at 2:21 a.m. Friday in response to a burglary, while a fourth incident led police to the Cornerstone Church at 3:19 a.m. Chillicothe police have cautioned churches… continue reading at chillicothegazette.com
