Without destroying safe heavens and terrorist santuaries in Pakistan no pwoer on earth can curb this menace. China, Russia including US dare not do so. All fear Pakistan. So continue facing the music.
I think destroying safe heavens and destroying terrorists would help a little bit, but one has to go beyond that.
Even if they get destroyed, we still have so-called “non-violent moderate” apologists of radical violent Islam, who still believe that the “Political Islam” is an integral part of “Sunnah” and “Shariah”. The entire contemporary Islamic literature is infested with it. Even most of the Quran translations are in line with the same Political theme promoting Islam being a religion of terror.
Since the collapse of Ottoman Empire, the Muslim clergy has been doing their best to revive Caliphate, a mirage that got craftily evolved into a movement of Political Islam by Jamaat Islami in Indian Sub-continent sabotaging Indian independence movement into a 2-nation theory and Muslim Brotherhood in Middle East subverting the movement of anti-colonial Arab nationalism into pro-West, anti-communist Jihadi movement fully backed by the West.
These Islamist jihadis in last 100 years have completely debauched the concept of Islamic Jurisprudence, removed the importance of one important Quranic verse: “No compulsion in the Deen of Islam” and the concept of Taqwa from all Islamic teachings, literature, madrases, and Jummaa Khutbas and replaced them by “Islamic State” and other pre-Islamic pagan and Judeo-Christian values, that were repetitiously hammered and forced with the help of fake Hadiths.
Since then, about 5 to 6 Muslim generations of ordinary, peaceful moderate Muslims were born and bred and marinated in those politically well-designed corrupted Islamic concepts. The primitive saga will continue, until the majority of Muslims realize the significance of real Quranic teachings and the real Sunnah. And that is not happening very soon as one looks at the horizon.
