Pakistan President Sharif arriving for Umrah

Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will arrive in Jeddah on Thursday to hold talks with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah and continue his family’s tradition to spend the last few days of Ramadan in Madinah and Makkah, according to a Pakistan newspaper.

He will perform Umrah and the last Friday prayer of Ramadan in Makkah on Aug. 2 with his family.

Pakistan Embassy officials in Riyadh could not confirm or deny the news of his visit.

Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Abdul Aziz Ibrahim Saleh Al-Ghadeer, who is already in the Kingdom, will reportedly receive Sharif and his entourage at Jeddah airport.

The Saudi government has informed Pakistani officials that Sharif will be extended royal protocol during his stay in the Kingdom, according to the newspaper.

Sharif will travel to Saudi Arabia on board an ordinary commercial flight and return on Aug. 6 on another commercial flight.
