Anti-Islam advocate and faith leader Terry Jones is upping the ante on his attacks on the Muslim faith. Rather than burning a Koran to mark the 12th anniversary of 9/11, Jones has another plan: He’s going to torch 2,998 copies of the book.
Yes, you read that correctly.
According to a press release put out by the pastor’s organization, Stand Up America!, on Sept. 11, 2013, Jones and his followers will “send Islam a very clear warning,” as he plans to hold an “International Burning of 2,998 Korans.” And in a conversation with TheBlaze, he said he’s planning on gathering the books from around the world.

This number wasn’t chosen without reason, as it is the figure Jones gives for the Americans who were killed during the nation’s most horrific terror attack.
“The radical hand of Islam shows itself with violence against anyone who dares to stand up and speak the truth. We at Stand Up America will not back down. We will not be silent,” the release reads.
It continues, explaining the purpose of the “International Burning” day.

“On September 11th, 2013, to remember those who were murdered by radical Islam, and to send Islam a very clear warning, that they will not get their foothold in the American Constitution as they have done in Europe, we will be holding an International Burning of 2,998 Korans, representing one for each individual who was murdered in the September 11th, 2001 attacks.”
The Muslims must have patience. It would be a silly act of that pastor Terry. He wants publicity by wrong means. Terry will burn the names of Jesus and Moses and Mary. But does he care? He would not care if 200,000 copies of bibles were burnt.
Where is Pope who is heading some Christians today? We should let the Christians handle this affair. Terry is not representing those who died on 9/11. He can be taken to task in courts too. He is not an official for the American people.
Insha Allah, Ahmadi Muslims will not need to burn any bible. They will expose the falsehood of the bible (NT)teaching to the entire world. That would be good reply to Terry gang. They will separate the New testament from the Old testament and show the falsehood of the present day Church teachers.
There was some good atmosphere for interfaith dialogue in these days. Terry could have followed that path of peaceful discussions. But he prefers his own terrible plan. Quran is a book from God Almighty. God Almighty will look after Terry.
Look at the response of Ahmadi muslims : they donated thousands of pints of blood to save thousands of lives after the 9/11 tragedy. That is the way to deal with hate & violence as taught by our Holy Master Mohammad peace be on him, his servant Mirza Ghulam Ahmad & their vicegrant Khalifas. We have to show the true face of Islam to the world with patience, dialogue & jihad of the pen, Inshallah.
