Dr. Tahir Khan of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community receives “President’s Call to Service Award” from President Barack Obama

Dr. Tahir Khan, a second year resident at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center has received the “President’s Call to Service Award” from President Barack Obama. This is the highest volunteer service award given by the President’s Council on National and Community Service. The award was presented to Dr. Khan by New York State Representative William Scarborough on behalf of the President.

Dr. Khan has served as the Vice President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, New York City Chapter since 2011. Previously, he served as the President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Student Association at the University of Wisconsin (2002-2006) and Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science (2007-2011).
