Yahya Bakhtiyar, Mufti Mahmood and many others maintained that the Ahmadis were declared Non-Muslims because their Khalifa accepted in the Parliament that they consider all others Muslims as Kafir.
Mr. Bakhtiyar confirmed this in an interview with Aatish Fishan, Lahore in their May 1994 publication. He thought that during the cross-examination, Mirza Nasir Ahmad was forced to accept that Non-Ahmadis cannot be true Muslims.

This matter was settled by a comprehensive response in the Mahzarnama by the Khalifatul Mashi III, which not only quoted fatwas (edicts) of heresy, apostasy and worst by all major sects of Islam against each other, but also gave a detailed description of the Ahmadiyya opinion on Kufr , Eeman and Islam.

The Ahmadiyya point of view on this matter can be summed up by two phrases used by Imam Raghib in his Mufridaat.
Doon-ul-Eeman: Those Muslims who are at a lower standard of faith; i.e., they are Muslims because they profess to be Muslims.
Fawq-ul-Eeman: Those Muslims who are at a distinguished standard of faith. i.e., they try to fulfill all of the criteria set in the Quran to attain spiritual distinction in the eyes of God.

Unfortunately every one seems to ignore The Amman Message http://www.ammanmessage.com which tried to define that both Sunni and Shiahs are Muslim. The Amman Message was signed by many Islamic Leaders from all the different schools of thoughts.

What are actually the main points for other muslims to declare you to infidels? What are the main differences? Some i have already noticed such as denying the hadith as being true and denying the principle of abrogation.
Dear Tarkan: Please take time to visit alislam.org. One major difference is our central pillar of teachings reflecting true Islam. These are, belief in a Secular Islam, Ban on all Jihad (as in militancy in the name of Islam) and never using Islam as a cause to create disorder in any nation state. All these are based on a new revelationary interpretation of Islam by someone who we believe to be the Promised Messiah and Imam Mehdi, as foretold by the Holy Prophet of Islam. We do not deny hadith at all but believe that all true hadith must be consistent with Quran, which is the first source of Islamic Knowledge. Any Hadith that is contrary to the true revelationary understanding of the Quran conveyed to us by the Promised Messiah and Imam Mehdi must be rejected. We are a global, progressive, highly educated Muslim Community present in over 200 countries and all obey one Imam, our present Khalifa, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad. More on the website above. Other Muslim leadership wants to use Islam for thier political ends and grab power. We challenge that with a pure version of Islam that has no institutional links with politics (predominantly Arab-Iran model) or business (predominantly Turkish model). Dear Tarkan: Of course there is no other Quran than the one read by all Muslims. Our belief is that Quran is the last and final word of God. The Holy Prophet is Khatam un Nabiyyeen, the seal of all prophets and the final law giver. All these are completely consistent and same as sunni beliefs. What is different is the new understanding and interpretations of the Quran based on revelation vouschafed to the Mirza Ghulam Ahamd (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) as the Promised Messiah and Imam Mehdi to restore the original pure teachings of Islam. We are not a sect- which are based on human effort to reform, we are a Divinely formed Jamaat- one promised by the Holy Prophet to the later day Muslims. Thanks again Abdul for your explanations. I will visit your proposed site and hope people here also continue to argue with me and my often critical comments. From an intelectual point i would be interested in a visit of some Ahmadiyya missionaries because i am interested what this faith is about and how it deals with all the problems islam in my opinion has. But i think i cant do that, my girlfriend would probably think i have gone crazy since i was a muslim before and now turned to Jesus.
