New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid has said any further movement on India-Pakistan ties will depend on Islamabad acting against perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attack.

Replying to questions on a news channel, Khurshid said: “Our then home minister (P) Chidambaram had given a list to his Pakistani counterpart seeking voice recordings of the perpetrators but we are yet to receive them. In such a situation, it’s not possible to move ahead.”

Asked why the government had allowed the Pakistan cricket team to tour India, Khurshid replied: “If Pakistan understands the language of cricket, we will try to speak to them in that language, if it understands the language of war, we will definitely speak to them in that language, and if it understands the language of dialogue, we will do likewise.” Read more

  1. I am surprised to read the rude remarks of India’s External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid about “telling Pakistan” or threatening with hawkish language like; “if it understands the language of war, we will definitely speak to them in that language”.

Is he trying to prove to his masters that he can be tougher on Pakistan than them.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh should put some sense in Mr. Khurshid’s head and tell him to calm down. India is in no position to order or threaten Pakistan. Such silly remarks only makes a dialogue much harder.
Delicate matters such as Bombay attacks or Indian interference in Baluchistan are dealt with diplomatically and not by saber rattling.

  2. I think if any Pakistani becomes a minister or lets say president in any western country, he will surely say the same.

Actually you have no guts to say this on his face and till the time internet has not come up with an option for blocking Far-Right loons, you are more than welcome to comment here.

  3. india And pakistan needs to have much more better relations and leave the path of hostality both should use the resources to remove the poverty
