Hundreds of villagers carry tenong (containers) with variety of food in the Somakaton village in Banyumas, Central Java, in Indonesia. Villagers make offerings, as a form of gratitude for safety and good fortune, to God during the Suro month (Muharram) on the Javanese calendar or the first month of the Islamic calendar.
