Nigeria: Kano Ahmadiyya Hospital Sealed Up Over ‘Unhygienic Condition’

BY HALIMA MUSA, 13 SEPTEMBER 2012 allAfrica.com

Kano — The Ahmadiyya Muslim Hospital in Kano was yesterday sealed up by Kano State government for “lack of staff and unhygienic condition”.

Sealing the hospital, Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso’s special adviser on private hospital Dr Salisu Ibrahim said the present administration would not condone any act capable of endangering the lives of the people. He said the hospital was sealed up for lack of sufficient and professional staff and also for the sanitary condition of the hospital, which he said was vital for the health condition of patients going to the hospital.

He therefore urged the management of the hospital to comply with the rules and regulations governing the medical practice in the state.

Speaking, an officer with the hospital in charge of finance and administration Adamu Jibrin pledged to change for good, saying the hospital would abide by the laid down rules.

  1. Thank you for this post, it is an eye opener and a challenge. Sincerely, few Ahmadis outside of Northern Nigeria are aware of this development. Personally, I have just heard the news through this medium. Jazakumullah
