JEDDAH: Makkah Gov. Prince Khaled Al-Faisal has approved a religious awareness mini-festival to be organized during the Jeddah Summer Festival this year.

The meet, which will feature cultural events, amusement programs and sport items apart from religious lectures and awareness programs, will be held from July 2 to July 22 at the King Abdul Aziz Culture Center in Abraq Al-Raghamah.

“The meet, organized by the Daawah Center of Al-Aziziyah District, will be an attraction with a difference to festival visitors. The meet aims to raise general religious awareness through attractive programs such as lectures, plays and various contests for all, particularly young men and women,” Masoud Al-Qahtani, director of the meet, told Arab News on Friday.

While the first 12 days will be meant for men, from July 14 the meet will be dedicated to women alone. read more
