PORT HOPE — The Port Hope Public Library hosts an open house on the Holy Quran tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event is one of three taking place in Ontario that day as part of a tour by representatives of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association Canada.

Since November, they have visited 142 towns and 194,373 houses reaching out to an estimated 756,774 people, spokesperson Rizwan Rabbani estimates.

“We have been canvassing neighbourhoods throughout Canada, promoting peace, condemning terrorism and bringing awareness about peaceful Islam,” he said.

The library is located at 31 Queen St.
