AMMAN (JT) – His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday welcomed the Palestinian reconciliation deal, finalised in Cairo yesterday, which will end the Palestinian division and unite the Palestinian people, according to a Royal Court statement.
The King made the remarks during a meeting with several Palestinian figures, who arrived from the West Bank and the Gaza Strip to express their appreciation for the King’s continuous efforts to support the Palestinian people and achieve their aspirations.
“Jordan will continue to support you politically and economically during the next stage until reaching the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on Palestinian national soil,” the King said.
