Like Americans in many other religious groups, a substantial share of adults who were raised Muslim no longer identify as members of the faith. But, unlike some other faiths, Islam gains about as many converts as it loses.
About a quarter of adults who were raised Muslim (23%) no longer identify as members of the faith, roughly on par with the share of Americans who were raised Christian and no longer identify with Christianity (22%), according to a new analysis of the 2014 Religious Landscape Study. But while the share of American Muslim adults who are converts to Islam also is about one-quarter (23%), a much smaller share of current Christians (6%) are converts. In other words, Christianity as a whole loses more people than it gains from religious switching (conversions in both directions) in the U.S., while the net effect on Islam in America is a wash.
A 2017 Pew Research Center survey of U.S. Muslims, using slightly different questions than the 2014 survey, found a similar estimate (24%) of the share of those who were raised Muslim but have left Islam. Among this group, 55% no longer identify with any religion, according to the 2017 survey. Fewer identify as Christian (22%), and an additional one-in-five (21%) identify with a wide variety of smaller groups, including faiths such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Judaism, or as generally “spiritual.”

I have the feeling that one day million Muslim will convert to Christianity. Why?
1. Because of conglict never end, million innocent people die in War or get killed by suicide Bomb. They do not believe Islam is a religion of peace any more.
2. Becsuse most educated Muslim have open their eyes to seek the truth, they do not trust clerics or Imams any more.
3. Because non Islam countries like: Japan, China and Westren countries and America are a dream country where they can persue their dream, live in peace and prosperity.
The 3 reason ate the main reason to leave Islam and convert to Christianity.
Except if Saudi Arabia want to reform the ancient Islamic law to modren and new interpretation that FIT to modern life in 21th century. On other word, all violent verses and violent hadith have to be declared are INVALID, or rewrite Al Quran and Hadith again.

Nearly one million joined Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama’at last year. And, Inshallah, more will join in future. Joining Christianity? Dream on. In Switzerland 29% of the population left Christianity, most of them into ‘nothing’. The reasons for Japan, China and Western Countries being appealing is their materialism and not their Christianity (China and Japan are anyway not Christian).
From my observation. I might be wrong, correct me!
1. India, China and Japan join Christianity more than join to Islam. Million Chiness and Japaness became Christian.
Only few became Islam. It means they see Islam is not religion of peace but religion of poverty snd conflict.
2. I ever read a shame article that Islamic people or Muslim are un-productive people ( lazy). They do not care about poverty as long as they are happy and close to God.
As told they do not see the useful product for community from Saudi Arabia, Arab countries to Indonesia. Most products we see in market are Made In Japan, China, Usa, Europe countries. There is no a product from Arab countried where Islam was born. It means Islamic teaching do not teach about prosperity.
My question to you Rafiq.
Nearly one million people joined Ahmadiyya, how many white people ( christian) who joined Ahmadiyyah? Tell us the truth! I heard that less 10 people, is it right?
As a Muslim it is very sad indeed. Whereas Allah told to Muhammad pbuh that Islam ( Muhammad) will bring peace, mercy and prosperity to mankind.
What we see to day is apposite. We need to correct what is wrong with Islamic teaching?

Yea, difficult to attract people to Islam, when people like you pick out all the negative things and do not see the positive things. Many other Muslims, whether Ahmadis or not, however, point out the positive things. Why did right-wing politicians become Muslims (from Germany the last one, but others from the Netherlands, Switzerland or journalists from UK also), because they decided to investigate what Islam really stands for. However, I have not yet seen from Somi anything positive (correct me if I am wrong). Always negative thinking. Well, hopefully even then some people will go deeper in their study and find out themselves what a beautiful religion Islam is. And the logical continuation of all previous religions… By the way: in Indonesia we do find a lot of products ‘made in Indonesia’. We used to find a lot of things ‘made in Syria’ too, but your oh so wonderful USA decided to destroy that country.
Rafiq, please understand it that what I am trying to do is to correct what are wrong with Islamic teaching. Without looking what are wrong, we as Muslim cannot make Islamic teaching be better again.
As prophet and God have said in His Books;
Those who obey God’s commandment rightly and completely will be live in peace, hsppiness and prosperity.
This is God’d promise to mankind.
What we see today is apposite, Muslim live in poverty and conflict, the extremist Muslim kill ahmadiyyah, Sufi, infidel and others every day in Middle East, Asia etc—-they kill innocent people in the name of Islam.
Am I wrong to correct why God curse and punish million Muslim around the world?
Rafiq, we have to be honest to our self and admit that Islamic teaching is corrupted, contaminated with false hadith etc.
if we do not honest to our self, I believe God will not change our condition ( conflict without ending— poverty)
