Personal Summary of President Trump’s ‘Islam speech’

In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Mr. Donald Trump gave the anxiously awaited ‘Islam speech’.

Main point of what he said:

” You (all Muslim nations assembled here) should fight terror”

“We will sell you all the weapons you can pay for (by squeezing the money out of your own funds, reducing all budgets for education, health, etc. and ensuring cash flow to ‘America First’).

What he did not say, but everyone knows:

“We shall continue to supply arms and ammunitions to terrorists”

so that:

“We can sell you all the weapons you can pay for”.

What he also did not say:    (but everyone is fully aware of)

“And if you do not follow our command, look at Iraq, Libya, Syria, Yemen …”

For a few hundred billion dollars we shall even acknowledge that Islam is ‘one of the great religions.

  1. The above is my personal understanding of Mr. Trump’s address. Of course not all editors of The Muslim Times will agree. (You are free to comment your personal views as well!)

  2. Being an American he is to give priority to american interest and what he did . He is not heading any Muslim country . I understand that Muslim world lacks nationalism . Is killing of his own people by Mr. Asad nationalism ? Is revolting against Mr. Asad nationalism ? It is Muslim leaders and people who are giving opportunities to others to exploit them . Getting oil and selling weapons are in the interest of America . I don’t think that any american president will take such action which harms Americans . How far one can go for the interest of his nation , need to learn .Arab leaders must understand their people and at the same time Arabs must understand that it is their government . Religion is a personal relationship between an individual and his God . It is not necessary to involve religion in every matter .
