Governor Ahok’s Blasphemy Trial to Start Dec. 13 in Indonesia

Jakarta. Jakarta Governor Basuki “Ahok” Tjahaja Purnama will face court on Dec. 13 in a high profile alleged blasphemy and harassment case, a court spokesman said Monday (05/12).

North Jakarta District Court spokesman Hasoloan Sianturi said the first trial will begin 9 a.m. next Tuesday at the court’s temporary building on Jalan Gajah Mada in Central Jakarta.

H. Dwiarso Budi Samitarto, head of the court, has been appointed presiding judge and will be assisted by judges Jupriyadi, Abdul Rozak, Joseph V. Rahantoknam and I Wayan Wirjana.
